Congratulations Spaghetti Can't wait for a pic! :beer:Hi all, just in case anyone has noticed and wondered why I've disappeared from this thread, I thought I should say that it is because I realised that spending time on a thread where almost everyone is further on in their pregnancy than me and where there are frequently people getting to the end of their pregnancy is very unhelpful for me.
Sorry you feel that way Susan, I have appreciated you being on this thread to offer advice as you have already been through a pregnancy. I hope that you will at least drop in on us from time to time xx:happylove DD July 2011:happyloveAug 13 [STRIKE]£4235.19[/STRIKE] £2550.00 :cool:0 -
Hi everyone, hope you are all doing ok. I am now 36 weeks & 5 days. I've not been on here for ages and lost the thread - it was club 20 last time I wrote and about 500 pages ago lol. Now number 8 on the list that shot up quick!! Now on my 2nd week of ML glad I brought the dates forward in work 2 weeks as the last week I was really struggling with pressure pains in work, was making my team mates nervous everytime I doubled up lol. First week at home was great I got loads done but this 2nd week I've been quite tired and had loads of naps on the sofa with the cat we've both enjoyed the quality time together lol. Nobody told me about these pressure pains and I must admit they have been quite eye watering and making me doubled up when they come out of the blue. Hospital bag is packed & nursery is finished just one thing missing now! Not impressed with midwives at the moment keep cancelling my appointments and new midwives starting, one of whom I have seen twice now and she keeps saying "this is your 3rd baby" - NO it's my first!!! They also keep saying we will come to the house & sort out birth plan then they keep forgetting, then I remind them so I have now done my own otherwise baby will be here by the time they get around to it! Sorry to rant & I know they are busy but I am starting to feel like a number rather than a new ( getting quite nervous) mum to be. I also have to keep repeating my history and notes to them everytime I see them which I am finding quite annoying. Is it me just feeling irritable? Enough for now I could go on & on now lol, all the best to everyone especially those due the same day as me, won't be long now!0

Sorry you feel that way Susan - I have been on here since i was about 13 weeks and have found it to be really helpful and there are people who are at all different stages. It is nice to give advice to people at an earlier stage, makes me feel useful!
Firedrone - congrats to you and your partner. I got my pushchair from Mothercare. I would advise testing them out in the shops first so you can see which is the right one for you. Hope the scan goes well.
My1stbaby - not long to go now! Sorry you are having trouble with midwives.0 -
Susan you have already given advice to others as already mentioned. I'm sorry you feel that way. I'm not due until June which I know is creeping up sacrily fast but have learnt so much from people on here...I confess to lurking for a long time before I got pregnant so I knew what to really expect from my pregnancy. I hope you continue to post. Alternatively is the 12 to 24 week thread more suited to you? x:heart2:Baby boy madbird arrived 15/06/11 by emergency csection weighing 9lb 13oz:eek: love him so much xx:heart2:0

I was actually about to ask this morning if anyone had heard from Susan as she hadnt been on for a bit.
I found it hard coming over from the 12 week thread as I felt everyone was further on than me, but then I realised there was ladies from every stage and the ones further on were great for giving advice. I feel I get advice from those earlier than me too as they have either had babies or have read more than me.
Please dont leave us altogether and post where you feel you can.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -
Morning ladies,
Well, 37 weeks for me so Term. Wow. That's soo cool. Any time now would be good!!!!
Congratulations to Spag!!!! Piccys would be lovely if you are up to it!!!
Shattered at the moment, not sleeping well and once again up early for the joiners and the carpet fitters coming and no sign of either. Grrr.
Hoping to get moved back into our newly renovated room and the baby's room made up but still so much to do..... Trying not to stress about it.
Fairyshazza the yummy mummy fund sound like a great idea. Wish I'd thought about that!!!
Susan, sorry you feel like that. I have found this place wonderful throughout my whole pregnancy for just the reasons you say. The fact we are all at different stages gives you so much assistance and advice that I would not have found anywhere else. The first time mums, the second and third etc give so much insight in what to expect that I perhaps wouldn't have know otherwise. there is also a nice side in that as I'm further along now I can perhaps help some of the new ladies to the thread.
I hope you continue to post and if not then at least try the other threads if they are closer to your due date.
Off to get some food and find out what's happened to the carpet man.:jMini Coops arrived 2011:j0 -
Susan C - I'm due in August too so me and a few others are slowly starting to migrate across to this thread. I don't really have much to say at the moment and definitely feel like "the newbie" but it won't always be like that I'm sure. There's nothing to stop you carrying on lurking for a bit and when you feel you need to ask something or have something to input, just come back - no one will mind I'm sure.
xxLeo James arrived 7 days late on 26th August 2011 by emergency CS :j Such a cheeky chappy now :T0 -

Morning all! I'm awake, I think...
Congrats to SM on baby Rufus.
Susan - I can understand that maybe being here with people coming to the end of your pregnancy when you're feeling so poorly, might be making things feel worse for you and be acting as a reminder of how long you have to go? Either way hopefully you'll still feel able to join in when you want to, as the others have said there are new people joining all the time at all different stages.
My baby bump has just no routine with her kicking just now. When she does kick I know about it lol. But she does seem to like woorying mummy at times by being quiet. She heard 2 dogs barking right next to the bump yesterday and wasn't too impressed though lol! Mummy to an amazing little girl0 -
Morning lady bumps
Happy 39 weeks Bump Buddy (can't believe we are almost the top of the list
Just read your post Susan and I must admit to occasionally having felt like that in the early stages...I came across here at about 13 weeks but lurked a bit after that.....it's sad that you don't feel you have any advice for the ladies that are coming up behind you or the ladies that are along the same time as you especially as you have the knowledge of having been through it once before but hopefully as you get further along in your pregnancy you will come back to the thread. I will be a lurker on here for some time to come I would say as there are so many that I have formed friendships with and would love to see their progression as well.
Congrats on Term coops.....not long to go now hehe
Congrats on baby Roef Spaghetti..can't wait to see pics hehe
Hugs My1stbaby......a lot of my pregnancy I have dealt with my own GP surgery and have been treated well down there so can't really complain much although I did have a mare of a MW about halfway through. You have gotten this far so hopefully you won't need much intervention from them except for when you are actually giving birth
Congrats to you and your partner FiredroneI looked at the graco travel system but decided it was too heavy for me but I am wee short thing and it was quite heavy for me so I opted for the mothercare Spin travel system with the maxicosi seat which works with both isofix and seatbelt xxx
Glad everything was ok with you Perdi...it's a weight off when they tell you that you BP is fine isn't it lol as for the swelling feet,...my hubby took me to New Look last night and I got a couple of pairs of the little slip on shoes as I am 39 weeks and my feet and ankles have tripled in size...they are so comfy now lol http://www.newlook.com/shop/womens/shoes/sporty-denim-pump_214624401 and http://www.newlook.com/shop/womens/shoes/checked-ballerina-pump_205352641 and I don't really do these types of shoes normally (I love my DM boots lol) as for the Carpal Tunnel and RSI see if you can get a wee splint for night time for your wrists and sleep with your hands above your head ( i have found it definitely helps) xxx
PC I am jealous of you not having any stretchmarksbut big hugs on the flu front....plenty of rest and fluids
Ok I think that is everyone covered lol, if I haven't mentioned you I am sorry but I think that this is the longest post I have done in a very long time lmao......I am just back from the GP and my BP is back to normal thank goodness considering the week or so I have had so I am now going to go and relax with a cuppa and get my feet up
Labour vibes to those in need...stay put vibes to anyone who wants them and big group hugs all round xxxxxxThe pod landed and produced baby Timothy on 10th March 20110
