  • Thanks guys, I think a mixed approach re: sleeping is prob balanced then, ie, sleep with them when necessary if they are poorly maybe, rest of the time have them in moses basket in same room for say 6 months and when they grow out of it, move them to cot in their own room - does that sound about right?

I agree Apricot re: breastfeeding seeming the better option for more sleep all round he he... if it works, less washing up and quicker feed time I guess! Not to mention saving money.

Teenie did I miss something about Tickle - I thought I read all the posts but must have missed hers somehow?!

Congratulations Tickle :j:j:j Looking forward to a pic :)

RE Sleeping - My plan is to have baby in her own room pretty much straightaway :o But her bedroom is literally 2 steps away from mine, and I don't think there would be enough room for me, DH and moses basket in our room. I would be very wary of co-sleeping, as I would hate to squash or overheat LO. My dad's putting in the Kiddi-Guard across the baby's doorway this weekend, so at least I know for sure that the dog cannot get into her room - wheras he can get into mine!

But as we all know, plans are just that - plans! Who knows what will happen when baby is actually here!!

Looking forward to my MW appt tonight - interesting to see what position baby has adopted today!

So what did we think of the ladies on OBEM last night? Tbh, the younger girl did get on my nerves, but kudos to her for not having any pain relief - not even G&A

Congratulations Tickle :) Like the others can't wait for a pic :D For some reason had it in my head you were having a girl but I checked the list and it does have a boy symbol (blame baby brain!).

Nice birth plan jojo ;) and of course I don't mind, glad it has been of some use!!
I put that I was aware of the pain relief options so not to offer me anything unless I ask (or something along those lines) as I think if I am offered something it will make me think the midwives don't think I'm coping well (so make me doubt whether I can cope without it).

Aww to all this chat about puppies. My friend's just found out her dog is pregnant and due in the next few days - am so tempted but keep trying to be rational about it, will just have to take the opportunity to go round and cuddle them all!!

Sleeping - my friend is doing co-sleeping as littlest doesn't sleep in his own bed, plus she is BFing so makes it easier. We are going to have cot / moses basket (yes I know we're leaving it late, actually have both but not sure whether to use moses basket) by the bed but will probably have times when little un is in bed with us.

Quick! Someone tell me I don't need to buy that Tommee Tippee pump from asda today. I'm only 12 weeks and haven't bought anything yet but am suddenly overcome by the urge to buy this. It'll be available somewhere for that price again before September, right??
