Im definitely all for trying breastfeeding but if it doesn't work for me anad baby then so be it. Im not going to beat myself up about it. Personally I think not having to get out of bed to make a bottle in the middle of the night is a big advantage (lazy cow that I am) so Im determined to give it a good go.
Lablover I think it takes a while for milk to dry up so missing one feed won't hurt your supply (as far as I know) but your boobs might be too full so you might need to express the milk away anyway.
Im definitely not up for co sleeping - the idea of it makes me uncomfortable as I am a really heavy sleeper and I like my big thick, heavy quilt (even in summer) and I wouldn't feel safe having baby there in case I either squashed them or they overheated. Baby will probably stay in our room until they grow out of the moses basket, I do have room for a cot in my bedroom if necessary but we will probably set it up in the nursery and see how we get on.:happylove DD July 2011:happyloveAug 13 [STRIKE]£4235.19[/STRIKE] £2550.00 :cool:0 -
Baby will be in our room for around 5 months , in cot. No choice untill I get my flat sold. Im sure MV was posting in the parent thread saying that she has been formula feeding aswell as breast. Might not have been MV but defo someone that graduated from this thread not that long ago. I suppose itl all be trial and error. My boobs have hurt since conception so I hope I get a bit relief when I b/f. Someone mentioned before about feeding vest tops , they will be handy for me because I only really wear vest tops with cardy on top so will look into buying them. Thanks to MSE for making it possible for me save to buy my new flat , yay !!

When I breastfed last time (which was my first time after having bottlefed my first 2 babies) I got loads of support from other experienced breastfeeding mums. One of them recommended this website to me which is a great source of info on breastfeeding http://www.kellymom.com/index.htmlOlympic Countdown Challenge #145 ~ DFW Nerd #389 ~ Debt Free Date: [STRIKE]December 2015[/STRIKE] September 2015

:j:j yeah tickle whoo nice size, I know she was worried about another biggy. There's hope for me yet then LOL!!"That's no reason to cry. One cries because one is sad. For example, I cry because others are stupid, and that makes me sad."0

:jCongrats to Tickle!
I'm just catching up on the thread as was off with the kids yesterday doing stuff so didn't get a chance to post.
Co-sleeping - did this in the very early days with both DS and DD (mainly cos lifting them was awkward after the sections)
It didn't last very long though - they went in to a moses basket and then I put the basket in their cot till they were about 5 months ish from memory - though as Teenie mentioned DS was really noisy and still snores like a trooper today!
Breastfeeding - will give it my best shot this time but I'm not buying pumps/tops etc... in advance - I haven't found it very easy in the past so will reserve judgement.
Hope everyone is well today x0 -
Oh, and out of all the breastpads I tried and used, the best ones for absorbing milk and not being obvious under clothing were Lansinoh ones. They were lovely and thin and you couldn't see the tell-tale shape of them like you can with some of the cheaper ones.Olympic Countdown Challenge #145 ~ DFW Nerd #389 ~ Debt Free Date: [STRIKE]December 2015[/STRIKE] September 2015
