I hope everyone had a good weekend. I must read back...
I'm 25 weeks today, so pleased that our little boy is still holding on in there. Part of me can't help but think that as I'm high risk for premature delivery that we will probably make it to due date & beyond LOL
Had a big bag in the post today crammed full of washable nappies. A friend sent them to me as she no longer needed them. A really good selection of nappies & DS has been busy putting some of them on his teddy'sReally pleased with them & thankful for the money they have saved us. We still need more but I've ordered some terry squares & I know we have some coming from another friend as well. The more we have the less often I'll have to wash. I'm hoping for every other day.
SPD is being a pain so we are home based this morning but still enjoying half term. DS is very easy to keep happy bless him, lots of crafts going on & book reading so far today.0 -
I drank the full amount they told me to for my 12 weeks and I was busting. She did the scan and then told me to run to the loo because she could tell I was too full. My letter for the 20 weeks still told me to drink beforhand but I said to OH there was no way I was drinking that much again as it was clearly too much for me so I just drank a glass of water an hour before and had sips on the way there. She made me go the loo half way through but I think that was more to try and get them moving as they wouldn't co-operate!
Congrats to all the new arrivals!
I had a lovely weekend away, nice hotel with really posh food which we weren't expecting, then went to Betty's the next day so I've stuffed myself silly this weekend. Judging by how much I've been kicked the little one enjoyed themself too! Feeling much more refreshed and capable of dealing with annoying people at work.:mad:0 -
With my 20 week scan i drank an hour before but then had to wait an hour as they forgot about me and so was so desperate they had to let me go. It meant she had to push quite hard and my pic wasn't as good but I couldn't have waiter any longer!
Hope Ticklepennys section is all going ok today! Ignore me actually it is tomorrow! Good luck for tomorrow anyway!0 -
Hunny.. put his school uniform in a carrier... and take him to school in his pj's.. he will NOT mess you about in the morning again!!! I promise you you will absolutely not be the first or the last to resort to it!!
You don't need a full bladder for the 20 week scan.. they usually tell you to empty it before you have it done!!! The full bladder at 12 weeks is to lift the uterus out of the pelvic cavity by 20 weeks it is already out so you don't need it!
lol he ended up getting ready in a hurry just as DD and me were getting our shoes on. He only 3 but perfectly capable. im trying to get him doing it all himself so Ive got free hands for when the baby comes. DD was so much more independant at that age. Hes just so lazy.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -
See that's the thing there is a lot of conflicting information about the 20 week scan, I was told to come with a full bladder which I was surprised at as I didn't have to have one with DD and when I asked my midwife about it she was surprised too!
I had a morning appointment so it was easy, went to the toilet as usual first thing then had a cup of tea and didn't go again so bladder wasn't totally full, but there was some liquid in there and I got lovely clear pictures.;)"That's no reason to cry. One cries because one is sad. For example, I cry because others are stupid, and that makes me sad."0 -

Just popping on for a bit of a grumble..
We're off on our babymoon next week to the Dom Republic which is great and I'm really looking forward to it but...I'm pregnant not disabled! I knew that I wouldn't be allowed to go kayaking or zip-wiring but apparently I'm not even allowed in a 4x4 or on a speedboat, not allowed to do any trips that snorkle or involve a catermaran.
grumble, grumble, grumble....Currently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck

Will post and then catch up
Consultant today was good, i thought the baby was measuring average, as in the national average. But he's measuring my average from my previous baby. Basically meaning im looking at another 9lbr, but i dont mind, i will have to sell my lovely 'upto 8lbs' sleepsuit
I got them to weigh me as when i weighed myself it looked like i'd not gained weight. Turns out the scales were broken and i have gained 5pounds :rotfl:
Have to have a GTT sometime this week and then im back for another scan & consultant appointment on 4th April
Oh, and i just won a bundle of boys sleepsuits for £4.45 :j
Edit: Ok i caught up, for the 20wk scan mine was only a little full. But i find it easier to just not empty my bladder rather than to fill it. So i dont wee for about 2 hours before the scan :rotfl:0 -
incase I forget later - good luck for tomorrow Tickle :j
congrats on the win EA
I've been panicking all day about getting this stuff from my friend so I thought s0d it, I'll see what there is on ebay - i've just won a moses basket and stand on ebay for £6.50 - I'm so chuffed.......:beer:0
