At our hospital it depends on the sonographer as to what you see. Some are lovely and show you eveything others just do the measurements and send you on your way.
I remember being ninety something on the list, nOw am in the top 3! I still can't believe that baby will be here on Tuesday. It does feel slightly surreal ( even though it's my second lol)

Hello all,

I'm off to argos today to pick up a Body Pillow for £19.99 (reserved already) since sleeping is becoming more and more uncomfortable.
They do two at this price- I'm going for the Orthopaedic Body Pillow from the pillow section rather than the one in the maternity section of the catalogue because it looks like its better quality- proper pillow case etc but I'll let you know how it goes.

Finally half term is here:j:j:j:j:j.I've been so tired, went to bed at 5pm yesterday then got up at 9pm for a couple of hours with OH and chippy dinner (fish, chips mushy peas mini-dinner- although more than big enough to leave me happily stuffed) followed by True Blood on FX- I'm finding that programme more gory every week.

Only one half term to go then I finish for Easter holidays and maternity leave:D. Its nice the way it works out because I'll start my leave on the 3rd of May due to bank holiday on the Monday, but I finish on the 15th April due to Easter hols. Going to the spa for day with my 3 best girl friends on the 16th for a day of being spoilt- can't wait. :D:D:D.

Baby happily kicking me throughout the day and night- I love watching my belly move.:D:D:D:D

Birth announcement!!

Baby Reece was born 1.22am yesterday, 7lbs 14oz.

I last posted Thursday evening about my show and I'd had a dragging feeling most of the day. Contractions started properly at 10pm, came from pretty much nowhere, in hospital for 12.15 where they were coming every 2 mins and lasting 90 secs so think we got there just in time! Thought I'd have a lot more time to get prepared to go in once the contractions started, glad it was night time and DH was home, I know by the time I'd realised this was it and called him at work, we'd not have got there in time.

For those who remember me posting about my 'birth trauma' and counselling recently regarding my previous birth, I have to say that totally helped me and I know that this birth would have been completely different (and worse) without that help I accepted.

All doing well so far, breastfeeding nicely, although I didn't realise how much I would ache. My whole body head to toe is one set of aching muscles, I can barely move!

No need to update the list, I never made it on there as I joined the thread late and felt bad about adding myself on and moving everyone down one space lol.

Hi all

Glad to see you're all well and chattering as much as ever

Just a quick post to say congratulations to Hungry, Sharkey & Honeypop.... :j

Immy Lou is coming on really well, had to give up on the BF as she just wouldn't suckle, but taking formula well. I did feel pretty down about not feeding her myself, but i'm ok with it now - just felt guilty

I'll do my birth story this afternoon and post it on.

Hope you're all well, labour vibes to anyone that needs them, i'm going to have to go across to the parent board and intruduce myself, hope they're as friendly as you all were xx

The sonographer was really nice at ours yesterday. She explained that she would need to be really focusing on the screen most of the time, so she would keep it turned towards her so she could concentrate - but that she would make sure we got a really good look at the end. She spent probably 20 mins (with a break in the middle for a walk and food, so baby would move) really closely checking everything, then showed us the screen for 4 or 5 mins, pointing out all the main bits, letting us watch a few kicks, taking a photo etc.

don't get too many.. these offers run very often.. and my daughter is almost 7 months and I have just opened my 4th pack of wipes (for the playtray on the bumbo lol)

There are more important things you could save your money for..

the bumbo and jumperoo are lifesavers..
sleeping bags.. once they learn to roll over these prevent them rolling onto their face in the cot .. for a while at least.
bath ducks.. encourage kicking and water play.
the extra 2 coats because 1 is simply not enough

Blue and green. I'm trying to think of something that has the right shades......It's a darker, greyer blue at the start slightly lighter in the middle ending with the green.

Thanks for the replies about the scan.
I have been feeling baby hitting me for a few weeks now. I say hitting because Im not sure if its hands or feet! I was just watching a movie and it was hitting near my belly button so I put my hand there and it stopped, then it was at the lower right of my stomach. It seems to be mischevious!
Im hoping to see more than a few seconds, if I get to see a few minutes that is great. If Im still wanting to see more I think I will just see about a babybond scan as I read you get a video so could show the family then so would be nice.
