Ooo who's had their baby? It's one a day at the moment.

Im having a quiet day today. Have to try and entertain the kids somehow. It's pouring and were skint, so it will be a long day.

Yay for baby news! I've just stuffed my face with a mcdonalds breakfast, was planning on cleaning the entire house but now I've eaten I just want to go back to sleep

Congratulations to Lauren and salski and other unnamed new mummy!!!

Had to laugh at comments re oh and mucus. DH and I toured the midwife unit I'm planning on using and at the end of the tour the midwife and I had a conversation round them doing sweeps for me and how successful one of the women is at it. DH waited until we were on the way home before braving the question of what is a sweep. Not sure he liked the answer !!!! Lol

I think maybe i need to plan a long car journey, i just can't get motivated to finish doing my hosp bag, need to do birth plan too. Babies bag is packed though
I think its because i'm conviced i'm going overdue again like the others, so although dd is in 2 weeks 2 days, i still beleive i have 4 weeks to go;)

Had a nice night out last night, going to miss all my work colleagues, but they have all said they are planning to come round and visit. Will still see them daily anyway as i have 2 children who go to the school i work at.
Got home to find ds has now got the bug that dd has/had, she seems to be much better, but the smell when i walked in was awful:eek:. Not sure how oh didn't smell it and do something about it.

Congrats on the 2 births, where are the pics? and who else has dropped?:)

Chopsie that scan is brilliant! Aw its little hand. You are due the day before me, I have my scan next week and so looking forward to it.

I am wondering how other hospitals are at the scans. Ours has the bed placed so you cannot see the screen to see the baby, which last time left me feeling deflated because I only saw the baby for a few seconds and she turned the screen away. I feel like how am I supposed to bond with my baby when I dont see it at these scans? This is my first pregnancy so Im not sure how it all works really, I just worry about how I will be with baby once its born since I havent really got to see it so far (bar a few seconds. ) Im just wondering if it is like this everywhere or should I make it clear when I go in that I want to see more of the baby or am I just being silly?

We got to see the screen the whole time, bed was positioned so it was in front of us. I'd ask if I were you. It's lovely when they point out the important things like the heart and brain etc.
Besides, even if you don't see much your little one , you will bond when you start to feel them moving about inside you, it's a wonderful feeling and I still marvel that it's because my body is creating a (hopefully) perfect little human being.
