I've been ok taking them when i need them so far, but apparently i need to build them up in my system.
If you trust your MW and following her advice is working for you then I'd carry on doing what she said.

  • I had another very disturbed nights sleep thanks to DS. He was generally being a pest rather than there being anything wrong, just needs to get back to normal after being ill. I'm exhausted & feeling really low, fed up, drained, sick of being in pain etc I did get a 2 hour nap today as DS is back at school but I'm so sleep deprived it's not really made much difference.

Cravings - some of you were discussing this earlier. With DS it was cheese, this time (another boy) it's fruit, mostly the pre prepared fresh exotic fruit you can buy in tubs so expensive but I'm justifying it by the fact it's healthy lol ;)

Hi hngrymummy, sorry to hear you suffered badly too:( Re the bits in bold I am well versed in all those unfortunately. Though my hair is tied back mostly by neccessity because of how yuck it is- Its a really glam life when you have to get your OH to help you have a bath and wash your hair as you don't have the energy to do it yourself:o I miss being able to just get up and shower every day, I just feel like a right tramp these days although fingers crossed the tablets have reduced the sickness drastically so I now have little windows where I have an appetite so I just make sure to eat and drink then, and as I am starting to feel an increase in my energy levels its is definitely making a difference. I agree that taking each day at a time is the way to go, as you just never know how long it will last.

I was initially but they became too difficult to take so I switched to the folic acid ones as they are so tiny in comparison. I'll switch back over when I can as I'm going to have to rebuild my health so to speak. What I manage to eat is hardly nutritious so no wonder I feel as awful as I do.

And so my moaning continues:rotfl: I wan't to enjoy this experience but I just can't atm and feel so detached from it all.
You sound very similar to me. :( I always feel a bit embarrassed when I say my husband has to help me bath and wash my hair because it seems like it should be such an easy thing to do yourself. I don't really feel that attached and didn't the first time around because of feeling so sick - I kind of view it as an eight month endurance test where you get a baby at the end of it. I think partly because your life revolves around how ill you are there isn't a lot of room for "bonding" with the baby and it's hard to get excited when you're really ill and tired even if you are looking forward to it. Have you managed to stay out of hospital or have you needed to be admitted?
