where the pain killlers are concerned take them when you need them as the Dr really wouldn't give them to you if there were going to be any problems.....they will make sure you are off them 6 weeks before birth, this I know from experience as I have been taking pain killers throughout my pregnancy and of course now that I have the bad SPD I can't take the painkillers.......sods law lol

I've never been told I had to stop taking painkillers and I'm due next week! Both the GP and MW know I'm taking them and never mentioned to stop by 6 weeks before baby is due... I should definitely mention this to MW when I see her tomorrow - oh my god my baby will be born an addict lol!

can I just ask what exactly is wrong with maternity jeans?!? I have two pairs and one pair feels too tight but fall down the minute i start to walk the other pair just fall down constantly arghhhhh

I hear you! I have had numerous pairs in different styles, sizes, over bump, under bump... and not one pair has ever been a good fit and stayed in place when walking, I've always had to keep hoiking them up again. I've taken to wearing maternity linen trousers or combat type bottoms, or for the really special moments at home some really comfy maternity jogging bottoms from Asda (£9) that come right up to my bra line!! THE most comfy thing I've ever worn. Weirdly though I had to get them 2 sizes smaller than normal to fit, and they still have loads of room in.
  • Afternoon everyone

Have been busy for once at work this morning :(

What a gorgeous little girl Chakani - congratulations!

Labour vibes to those at the top of the list

LL - hope the scan goes well and you manage to stay team yellow x

Re cravings - not sure I've had any yet this pregnancy - I don't particularly recall having them with any of my other pregnancies.
The main difference between my pregnancies with DS and DD was no sickness with DS and sickness with DD.
Thus my feeling that this baby is a girl - however I am most likely wrong :o - will hopefully find out next week

Congrats Chakani - she is beautiful. Lovely name :D

Labour vibes to the boldies. I hope Hngrymummy gets some action soon!

Lol at Teenie. I remember you complaining about going the wrong way down the list. Now we're all scarily close. How did I get to 36 weeks today - cripes  Even the sandwich wagon lady commented on how I must be ready to drop. Hmmm, I'd quite like to finish work first!

I finally posted my Maternity Allowance application off today. Does anyone know how long they take to process and to come back to you?
