It's been a busy week so far and I've been keeping busy on the evening with weeding and planting more seeds - I even made a pizza last night especially to take to work for lunch today...think I'm powered by rocket fuel at the moment! ;) Just waiting for the tiredness to kick in now which I'm sure it will soon.

Today the money has hit my account from the sale of a couple of books so that's another £8.00 to add to the op account, I've also requested a £25 voucher from Sw@gbucks and have requested my first cash out from Geolotto so hopefully that will arrive soon. I've just shredded and I'm waiting for the chooks to go to bed before I go and get tucked up with a good book.

Oh I can't wait - two lovely days to do as I please :) I usually have a few books on the go at once but my main read is 'Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance.' It's interesting but a bit heavy going at times ;)

That wasn't at all what I was expecting! Having had a read of some online reviews...not sure I would manage it. Premise sounds interesting though

Haha - I must admit, it's not quite what I thought it was going to be (I added it to my wishlist about a year ago after having it recommended) but it's definitely interesting. Before that, I read Astrid and Veronika which is a really beautiful book about a relationship between a young and old woman. Alongside those I've been reading books on allotment keeping, running, time management, decluttering and meditation - I seem to be a butterfly by nature as far as books are concerned. But one of my absolute faves is Mama Day by Gloria Naylor - I never get bored of it. What are you reading at the moment?

I'm so pleased that the weekend is here - I felt so tired this morning so I'm looking forward to some down-time and not being woken up by the alarm clock for a couple of days. I made a delicious aubergine, courgette and spinach pizza for tea and followed it with homemade apple crumble (I've still got frozen apples to use up from last years glut :o). Keeping my fingers crossed for sunshine this weekend, it's been so cold today, I've spent the day freezing at work.

The op account is building up - my £25 sw@gbucks voucher came through along with my geolotto payout. I've just had an offer through for 500 sw@gbucks for downloading mobilexpressions, I was considering signing up so it's definitely tempting. Apart from that there's no other news on the mortgage front -I'm sure I'll be very excited about updating my spreadsheet tomorrow once the op has been sent ;) but tonight chilling out on the sofa with a warm snugglepuss is just too tempting.

Hope you had a nice relaxing evening :)

I've added those books to my (ever growing) list of recommendations. I'm between books at the moment. I've just finished The Best Laid Plans by Sidney Sheldon. It was a freebie on my Kindle. I've never read any of his work until recently and this is the second one I've tried. Easy to read but fairly entertaining - sort of mystery/thriller mix. Good for evenings after work as not too taxing on the brain. ;)

I think I read a Sidney Sheldon freebie book a few years ago - can't remember what it was though. :o Had a steady weekend this weekend, I've pottered around the garden a bit but not done loads as I've felt really tired...just one more week to get through until half term, thank goodness.

Time for a cuppa and to catch up with some diaries.

Half term is finally here - hooray! I even managed to get a lay in until 8.00 this morning, which isn't like me. I'm heading out to dog-sit for the day in a bit so will update properly later on.

    Enjoy the sunshine,

Had a lovely day dog sitting yesterday. They were no trouble so most of it was sent basking in the sun reading and eating yummy food - bliss. It was the perfect start to the half term break. Today I'm planning to have a mammoth decluttering day using the Kon-Marie method. The sun's not shining so I don't feel that I'm missing out at all and I actually feel quite motivated to get going and clear my space. Hopefully I'll unearth more treasures that I can pass on to people who want them.

This week has been quite prosperous. I've received a £10 cashout from sw@gbucks, as well as a £10 voucher from CP and a £20 am@zon voucher for signing up to the Wise Society - hopefully I'll get some surveys from them too. I've added it all to the op pot and will make the payment later on.

Things are going well in the garden. I planted out the broad beans, squash and courgette earlier this week and have runner beans, tree cabbage and kale sprouting. The lettuce is also starting to sprout so hopefully it wont take too long for that to get going. I still need to find some netting for my small polytunnel as I'm gong to use it over summer to protect the cabbage and kale, I'll put it on my to-do list for this week. The tomatoes, peppers and cucumber all seem to be doing well so fingers crossed they'll carry on thriving. :)

Well what a busy day! I've cleared out my file box and ended up with 2 bags full of shredded paper. I decluttered my bookshelves and cd/dvd shelves and have managed to make around £30 by listing some on fb and splitting the rest between music m@gpie, webuyb00ks and C3X. Just need to post them now. I also made the most of the brief glimmer of sunshine and repotted my tree cabbage plants - I've no idea what i'll do with them all, there's 14 and 2 will be more than enough for me. I'll offer them to friends and family and if there's any left over i'll have a go at selling them.

If it's dull tomorrow i'm going to start painting the kitchen. I've borrowed some paint to finish the ceiling off (being as thrifty as ever ;) ) and the actual wall paint and rollers were bought using vouchers so it's diy MSE style.
