Have found New Years Day rather depressing :( glad it's almost over :T

I got my nails done on 22nd Dec, 10 days ago for Christmas and they are still perfect, my mother commented today that they looked like they were freshly done. It's the 3 week manicure which I've had before but it's much better this time. Probably won't be able to afford to get it done all the time but I will do it as often as I can in 2012. People keep saying it damages your nails. I believe them but that's not been my experience of it plus I'm really good to put oil on them everyday while it's on.

Also hoping to get to the end of 2012 without penalty points (on driving licence) and without any unpaid direct debits on the bank account.

€500 for Lulas clothes challenge MAYBE. I'd love another pair of doc boots or similar really good everyday type shoes/boots and a North Face raincoat/jacket. Just the 2 of those would almost eat up the €500 so I don't know.

My new text friend rang me at midnight last night to wish me a Happy New Year :A

As you know, I have my nails done all the time. It probably does damage the nails but not sure mine were that good to start with! And any damage willjust grow out with the nail, so it's not lasting damage. I just love the look of always having groomed nails and not really having to worry about them on a daily basis. I usually have red or 'rouge noir' style polish in the Winter and 'french look' in the Summer :) Each to their own but it would be one of the last things I'd give up to pay off debts! :D

Totally agree about feeling more groomed with the nails done, it's been so easy to get ready for the last week or two with the freshly cut and coloured hair and the nice nails (mine are rouge noir style too). The nails are actually amazingly good value compared with the hairdresser. I'm just over run with expenses.

Feeling a bit brighter this morning, it's absolutely silent here, all I've heard for the last hour is the birds singing.

I've just painted over it with normal nail polish to cover the re-growth and it looks fabulous again, definitely getting my money's worth this time.

The actor stayed with me last night. He's moving house and asked if he could leave a few boxes at my house. A few boxes was like a full transit van of film stuff, cameras, props AND a massive quantity of clothes :rotfl: My new sofa is there too but all of this clutter is stacked on it so won't be able to use it for a bit. Plus the old furniture needs to go.

I do really like him but he's still going to be kept at a bit of a distance. He wants to move in with me as a tenant but it's NO to that. I still just want him as a friend (or friend with benefits maybe;))

Slight problem that he appears to chain smoke :( the house now stinks of smoke. My fault really because I said he could smoke inside.

Ooooh be careful of this Mags. I had this happen about 10 years ago. Bloke I was seeing just asked if I could 'look after' this and that whilst he was between moves. Before I knew it all his stuff was cluttering up my flat and he was treating it like his own place. I ended up changing the locks

That had crossed my mind :( but I THINK this should be ok. He moved most of the clothes away yesterday to his mothers house and another box is going today-the box of bullet proof vests  Yes you did read that properly:rotfl: they were used for something he was filming recently and now the army person who lent them to him wants them back. Clearly not chick flicks he's making :)

The new sofa has been uncovered again and it's perfect for me. A lot of the clutter now is being caused by the old furniture that needs to go and that's more my problem than his, but he does have a few "man with a van" friends whose help he has volunteered to bring it to the recycling centre for me. I'll try freecycle first next week though to see if I can save them the trouble.

He's realised that he doesn't really want to live with me, he wants his own batchelor pad again where he can have his friends to stay, etc. And no I didn't say he can't have friends over :o but he just knows that he can't make himself that much at home. He was on the phone and internet all yesterday evening making calls about a new place to live and he has so many friends and contacts that I THINK this might happen quickly.

By now the actor has moved himself in as well as his belongings BUT it's ok because he has found somewhere new to live and will be leaving soon. I'm going to miss him loads when he leaves :o I hope he'll visit but I don't know if he will or not.

Right now he's depending on me for somewhere to live. He has taken over my desk where he drinks lots of coffee from my Nespresso machine and chain smokes while making endless phone calls on my flat rate iPhone. He does have his own laptop :rotfl:

See how I can't be sure if it's me he likes or the facilities he has here but I guesse I'll find out in a while. He makes me laugh every day. Yesterday he walked in and asked me to get him the number for the local prison as causually as I'd request a bottle of milk. :rotfl:

Then today he was searching for something in one of his boxes and tipped a bag of guns out on the floor :rotfl: Don't worry they're not real, although they look very real. They are props for the film but I find all of this hilarious. It's keeping my mind off my own problems, although probably not for long more. He's filming on Friday and I'd say he'll move on Saturday.

But even if I never see him again I'll still always remember the fun I had with him. I've spent evenings here reading his film scripts and I've read all the directors notes for filming on Friday. There seems to be something to amuse me all the time he's here.

It's just me who's amused all the time by the way, he's rather stressed with everything he has going on.
