I didn't send an email until after working hours Friday but I'm sure it will be picked up once they have dealt with more urgent stuff next week.
Ah thats great, just saw her last post to :T
I do have a update though, the butterfly top is'nt apparently going to be in stock to, you guessed it. MAY yes May, the woman was obviously lying, was all over her face, quite obvious it was in the back hidden
I think its disgraceful and just wrong on so many levels, so shall be sending a complaint, to red magazine and hobbs and maybe we should go to trading standards and bbc watchdog?
Just makes me so mad :mad:0 -
I think Hobbs are behaving disgracefully as I really wanted a camisole top.Third time lucky on WW I hope :j

That's presumably why the York staff said May?
A huge thank you to all who post the comps and deals that make life so much fun!0 -
No. In York she said 9th march. I did wonder if that was when they could put stuff back out!0

I went into Birmingham again today and asked if they were hiding the stuff in the back. They were quite adamant that they weren't. They did state that Head Office weren't sending them any new stock of the cheap tops. I pointed out to her that as I work in the city centre, I would be checking this out daily! I advised her that by May, we would be drinking buddies I would be spending so much time in there!!! They have been lovely staff there throughout this whole farce.0

Hi all
Iwas off onanother magicbucks does hobbs adventure today. Before youallthinkIamtotally mad i have 4 hobbs stores within a 30 minute radu=ius of my office as I work Anyway... went in wearing a hobbs dress as per my last email Checked out the suppliers - there was nothing below £35 on display at all Staff were lovely though I tried on a dress and bought it and another one then when paying asked for 2 camisoles ion ivory- They magically appeares- I had not taken my ammunition out of my wallet at this point so i for the 2 dresses and 2 camisoles for 138 in total instead of 238 lady was very nice she said its only meant to be one per person i said one per transaction 4 transactions .and explained that although there may be a number of people just getting the £25 top surely converting one in ten must get great business for the store and that the mark up on their csamisoles must be huge anyway so that it is not costing the store anything really . I then told her what happened in regent street with @'Tissuepapergate' and walking off half way through serving me :mad:she was shocked but this person really was lovely helpful professional and a credit to the store unlike regent street so the Brunswick centre in bloomsbury gets a thumbs up from me0 -
Dunno, I am a bit on the fence here. Yes, it is crud that they changed the t&cs but 10 or 11 magazines? Seriously? No wonder Hobbs are hacked off
Sorry to say, but I feel the same. Yes, it is rubbish of them, but it is essentially a gift with purchase and not part of one's statutory rights. If people are buying multiple copies to get free stuff then it doesn't suprise me that the chain are panicking about losing money.0 -
I know where youy are coming from but my other half describes me as a marketeers dream :-(
Thanks to the offer I have already bought 4 dresses a skirt a cardigan and 2 blouses this month in Hobbs so they have not exactly done badly out of me in terms of money All in all I spend about £600 I must admit that for all the money they made out of me and if they have maybe had to give another 7 people who may never again go in there a free top then surely they have won in terms of them gaining. I would never have even thought of buying some of the stuff in there that I did but to be fair I thought buying 2 dresses last night justified me getting the camisoles
I have also spotted a beautiful denim skirt which I have persuaded my other half to buy me for my birthday so they definitely won with me0 -

Thats true yes, but they should of done research then? Course people are going to buy loads if they get a top for £4? Well £7.60 with the magazine price. And the fact it dosent say one per a person, makes it even more worse?
The fact there hiding tops is damn right wrong, i took advantage of the Coast offer last year, which was for £30, only got the one top that time, but had no problems with them and they wasnt hiding tops in the back!!!
It's just very wrong what they are doing, at the end of the day they should have known what would happen, course they are going to sell more tops etc, thats the whole point of the promotion, so it's there fault and no-one elses0 -
Basically if Red sold 1 million magazines then there were 1 million Hobbs vouchers to spend. The assistants in the shops were telling us to go buy more magazines as we could get more FREE tops. Hobbs obviously hadn't thought through the offer. It should have had a minimum spend or 1 per household but they didn't ( Their mistake) but great for their customers. Now they are being underhand and saying no stock but it has been proved time and again that if you are trying something on and ask for a top or camisole it miraculously appears from the stock room. So I say it serves them right but what could have been great for the company seems to have had a very bad effect and leaves a bad taste.0
