And also why is it that when I ask for a camisole they have sold out but when watching another customer being served ( she bought a suit ) 2 camisoles appeared from the stock room for her.0

We are truly disappointed that some forum members have had a poor experience with this promotion. This has, in the main, been the result of low stock levels in store. Hobbs makes specific products in limited quantities and the success of this promotion has led to lower than anticipated stock levels on certain products.
Stock issues are being remedied through re-allocation of stock to top stores so that we can service the maximum number of customers but we cannot guarantee the availability of any specific items that may have gone out of stock. As we are a fashion business new stock drops on a regular basis and we assure you that this offer, as laid out in the terms and conditions, is valid on all merchandise (other than the exclusions outlined on the reverse of the card) until 2nd May.
Importantly we also believe we have responded to all queries reaching our customer services team. We are more than happy to respond to individual questions and urge you to contact our Customer Services team directly.
not a great response really.
individual responses to your customer's questions would be best.:grouphug:Official MSE canny forumite and HUKD VIP badge member

And grunnie you are brave and asked. I am an regular Hobbs shopper ( sitting here in my Hobbs jeans, top, shoes and jumper!).
I assumed as they were not on the shop floor they didn't have them. I and I am sure many other women reading this thread (so many- unbelievable- wow) wouldn't have the confidence to ask for fear of ridicule having read some peoples awful experiences. I would be too embarrassed now to go back to
Leeds following last week. I have £600 of Hobbs stuff new with tags bought in the last few weeks. I am thinking about returning the whole lot in protest. I need a new suit for Monday aiming to spend £400 plus but I won't go to Hobbs now (all but 2 of my current suits are from Hobbs).0 -

But end of the day I still haven't got my duck top as they refused to sell it to me in tne store0 -

Why did they refuse? Lets remember this is NEW stock, that hasnt even been put out on show, and they are saying they are sold out??
Its just pure bull....0 -
They said it wasn't available to be sold to anyone using a red card but I coukd buy it if I paid the whole £29. After I complained to customer services they said if I went back they would sell it but by then I had left the town and was on my way home. I would have had to repark etc0

Like I said before, contemptuous attitude.
Watchdog, anyone?0 -
I wonder where the 'Top' stores are located, given that an earlier poster was told that they had been removed from stock in the Regent Street Branch. If London stores are being asked to send stock back, then where are the tops going.....?
And why did the Head Office Rep Barnabylovesicecream spoke to refer to it as a 'sensitive situation' What is 'sensitive' about low stock issues?
As to the CS person who rang a customer asking them to reval an internet id - that is totally inappropriate and could compromise their personal information in other ways. They should know from their records who they have and haven't contacted.0
