£25 hobbs gift card with Red magazine

I went into the Leicester store yesterday, i didn't get anything as i didnt see anything i wanted, all they had was a couple of the £35 stripe top's, no cami's, i never asked, will wait until i can get to a store that stocks the NW3 stuff as it seem's nicer, but i do find it very very odd how some of the staff have been from reading these message's here, i had a similar experiance ( see earlier post )
it's like it's their shop and their cloth'es, they need to remember , THEY work for Hobb's to serve customer's....Hobbs gifted the card's to encourage more customer's............but instead it's turned into some kind of circus, with staff getting all high and mighty, so weird how people can be to a customer, and to think how amazing Jaeger have been with the glitch with there £20 Guardian voucher, now they are one company i have huge respect for..............:):wave:0 -
Hi Pacha
Well have no fear I still have some cards left and I work in London so I am going to be checking out the other stores I also as mentioned already have some hobbs clothes already so am going to do two tests monday wearing one of my hobbs dresses - Tuesday without (I mean without Hobbs clothes not without clothes) for all the smart people that would come back on that Anyway as you say that is correct their job is to envourage people to want to come into the shop it costs nothing to be nice. I must admit the shop in covent garden they have been so nice I am sure they despair the number of cards they have got from people but they are professional pleasant they cannot do enough for you Thats the one in Longacre Covent garden not the one in the piazza .
I will update you all on progress My other half is in despair but he knows what I am like he says you have enough clothes and tops now but appreciates that it is now about principle he reckons I am on my magicbucks !!!!! mission which can be translated as I will make them an offer they won't understand ;-) and ensuring that they are honouring what they said. The customer service people when you call the head office are fantatstic they have a lovely manner its a few giving the rest a bad name
I will advise you all how it goes Monday and Tuesday .0 -
Wow. Google led me here after my experience in Hobbs in Leeds today.
A few weeks ago I saw an nw3 duck to shirt in the store. Today I went to buy one but none were on display ( I had also looked in York yesterday and none).
Lady asked could she help. I asked if they were expecting more stock of some items. She took me to counter. There the person explained that they had them in the stock room but they had had to remove all t !!!!!! at £29 or less as they were not part of the red offer but she would get me one. I explained I wanted to use the red card and she then told me that there were none for sale. I said I was sure wasn't mentioned in the terms but she insisted.
I the left the shop and called customer services who told me that it was a sensitive issue (direct quote) and theybwould call the store and getbback to me. It's only been 10minutes but no response- I told them I was outside the store.
I spent 0ver 3k in Hobbs in past 18 months. I am really disgusted and very hacked off. I have spent £300 since Sunday- it's all going back now. I guess lk Bennett is the winner in all of this if Hobbs hack off their loyal customers.0 -
Good grief - they are certainly messing up this promotion!0

Well it gets worse. I waited about 10 mins outside the Leeds store and then started to walk back to the car.
Cutomer services called. They said that the store had been asked to remove the tshirts from display for return to Hobbs. The reason that Leeds were able to offer it for sale was that they had not yet processed the returns on their tops (hmmmm ).
If I was to walk back to,the shop they woukd sell the top to me.
I was livid- I explained that in was a loyal customer of over 20 years. This week alone shoes £69,skirt £89 and jacket £179. I was shocked ath their deceit and unethical approach.
I gave my name and address and looted a formal complaint ( theybtried to fob me off mybsaying that I had to write to them)
I will let you know the outcome.
I have worn the shoes (and got a blister) but the jacket and skirt will be returned tomorrow.
I have over 50 pairs of Hobbs shoes, 3 Hobbs coats, many suits etc. Obviously they don't value customers at all.0 -
Sorry typos- iPad on my knee in car. I am really livid.0

Just worked my way through the whole thread. No wonder the customer services lady was so keen to clarify exactly what the Leeds store said to me.
Seems that Leeds inadvertently revealed their whole company strategy on being instructed to remove all tops at £29 or less and only fetch them for those not using red cards. I have been in harrogate, leeds and York this week and not one had any tops- I was a bit suspicious but today confirms it all.0 -
So maybe we should all go in to a store try on a suit and wait till the assistant asks how we are getting on and say will leave it till I have on a better top or camisole - they will them bring one or two camisoles which we will then grap and buy with our Hobbs cards. :j0

I don't think we should have to obtain the tops by stealth. We were given GIFT cards and Hobbs should honour that gift with good grace. MSE Archna asked for updates and I am sure Hobbs personnel must be aware of this thread. Maybe it is time for us to make further formal complaints?0

It's just all so .... sordid. Especially from a company that I assume would prefer to be thought of as a better quality store.0
