Still heard nothing after my complaint. I would have expected at least an acknowledgement that they'd received my email by now......
I'll report back when I hear anything."Buy me, Lady", said the frock, "and I will make you into a BEAUTIFUL & WHOLE & COMPLETE human being"."Do not be silly", said the Man, "for a frock alone cannot do that"."True", said the Lady, "I will have the shoes and the bag as well".:rotfl:0 -
Yes an acknowledgement email should of come straight away0

I email Hobbs to ask about using more than one card but their answer was:-
Thank you for your email recently received at this office.
We can confirm that you can only use one Red gift card per transa_ction. It states in the terms and conditions that the Red gift card 'cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or promotion'.
If you require any further assistance or clarification, then please do not hesitate to get in contact.
Yours sincerely,

Hi all
I must admit I have got a few tops out of it but also have ended up purchasing quite an amount of clothes`that I wouldn't have were it not for the card but anyway i digress... today i went into Regent Street I was looking for a top to go with a dress for a wedding(which I bought in Hobbs) and firstly to say they were following in my personal space was unreal. Anyway - no cheap tops on display. I bought the top which was £55 but had not yet paid (at this stage she had not realised I had a card) then I said do you have any camisoles I cannot see them What size madam she came back with an ivory and a white- not visible in the shop.I then went to pay for my purchased using 3 cards The look on her face was a picture- they tried to be underhand and it was clear I caught her out. you could tell she was furious but what was disgusting was that she did not bother to put them in a bag once wrapped in tissue went back to stand in the doorway and left someone else to finish the job. This other person was serving someone else On leaving I went over and said your manner is disgraceful disappointing and unprofessional - Why did you walk off halfway through serving me.?That is appalling customer service and not what i expect from Hobbs I advised her that I was going to contact head office as I realise there have been a number of complaints re staff attitude to the red offer- As a parting shot - I said by the way you have just served (badly) a mystery shopper.0 -

Good for you. I got treated exactly the same way in their Aberdeen store and have vowed never to shop in Hobbs again. Now the Edinburgh store staff are lovely.0 -
Thanks Grunnie but to be honest as soon as` realised what was going on and read more threads and comments from people on MSE I went and bought a few more magazines and used them in different placesas I had had a great experience at the beginning of the month when I bought stuff I will not name the store(for reasons apparent later in text) but way at the beginning of this when Red magazine came out i went into a Hobbs that weekend and bought a few tops ok 4 were 25 and two were expensive(blouses) as I like Hobbs anyway
I said to her is it a pain for you this card thing- bearing in mind it was weekend one and she said that as a store its number of transactions through the till as opposed to amount per sale as they are an expensive store so all in all this hiding tops stuff is more detrimental to them not positive. That lady was lovely and that store was great.
I guess I think its not nice as many people would not ask if they could not see the item and thats why I went on a mission in the stores in London to do my own bit of a check0 -
Good morning all,
I've had my response from Hobbs.
Basically it is an apology and confirms that they have spoken with the store and area manager and told me that I should be able to use my card again now. They also reiterated that stock of certain items is extremely low due to the promotion - which I don't actually believe since everyone seems to have complained about Guildford so they probably haven't sold more than a couple of these tops!!
Anyway, just thought I'd let you know!"Buy me, Lady", said the frock, "and I will make you into a BEAUTIFUL & WHOLE & COMPLETE human being"."Do not be silly", said the Man, "for a frock alone cannot do that"."True", said the Lady, "I will have the shoes and the bag as well".:rotfl:0 -

Thanks for letting us know .
They are def hiding tops in the stock room .0 -
Unfortunately, as I had cynically suggested in an earlier post, I too have experienced the tops not on display, I was a little sneaky, tried on a pair of jeans with a blouse and said to SA shame there are no camis to go under it, oh just hold on she said and came back with 2 diff ones in my size, so took the cami, she was then quite stroppy, you'd think the money was coming out of their pocket.0
