I went to the brent cross hobbs and had a good experience too. The sales assistants were friendly but as meanmum said not intrusive. i bought a top and spent £4. They did say i had to be on the mailing list to use the voucher which i didn't mind.

Its a shame you can't use the cards in Gunwharf isn't it. It is an outlet village. There are loads of bargains in there:)

Just thourght I add after being overly exited all week.
Finally made it to city centre with my 2giftcards.

cabot circus hobbs-quakers friars near harvey nicks.

couldent have bene nicer and more freindly in there.suberb service at till and fitting rooms.

pleasently surprised even with pregant bump fitted into a small.

picked a navy wrapover style jersey top so soft and stretchy.

also picked stripey bretton top.

I couldent decide between plain navy/white stripe or navy white and red stripe.
went for latter as more interesting.

At till point got chatting.

they said customers been moaning they cant get red anywhere in city centre.
Theft of cards been bad especially in tesco metro.
They asked where i brought mine but I live in burbs so large sainsburys no thefts there.

theres no limit on amount of cards.

Im chuffed think its nicer than boden and cheaper.

That is where I went today and they said I wasn't allowed to use two cards, not even in two separate transactions as it is one per customer. I did say that I thought it was one per transaction but she was having none of it, so I ended up saying that one was for my Mum and giving her details too.

I used a couple of cards in the Edinburgh store. Surprisingly enough they accepted 1 card against the purchase of sale shoes. Result was a lovely pair of shoes for £44 (originally £139). I'm sure the T&Cs say cannot be used on sale goods and I was fully prepared to pay the full sale price but they took the £25 off without question, so I didn't argue.

How weird. I went in about 3.30-4pmish maybe change of staff.
The 3shop staff who were on duty said they not been with hobbs long as asked if they still had branch on park street.

The lady who served me said no limits just seperate transactions.

Just back from Hobbs in Birmingham. Got two lovely tops. I bought one, and DH bought the other one, so no problems with separate transactions. The staff were lovely, and I really enjoyed the shopping experience. Wish I could do it all the time!

This is not true.

Reading through the posts, it is amazing the difference in attitude, service, made-up T&Cs etc etc from shop to shop! :eek:

I went to Meadowhall yesterday, the shop had 1 other customer in plenty of assistants they just let us browse and eventually asked if they could take my garments to the dressing room. That was the only interaction with the staff, very little said at the till I was asked for my name & address details but she didn't specify why (I already knew so I didn't question it).
All in all a pleasant enough experience but nothing special.

So if I am correct, you can use several cards but you just have to make sure you go to different stores? And will this cause problems if they take your details in each stores?
