Also good to sprinkle in shoes and on your feet to dry them off before putting socks on.
If, like me, the Boob Fairy visited you, it's great for sprinkling under boobs on a hot day to stop that horrible sweaty feeling you get from skin that is never exposed to air and light.
much better than i would be able to put it, i use it for exactly the same reasons0 -
I keep seeing an omnibus of 'The Wishing Chair' in one of our local charity shop and have almost bought it a couple of times - but I don't want to be disappointed reading it as an adult
:rotfl:
I never thought this was as good as The Faraway Tree though. When my daughter was a toddler (she's now 12) I bought a huge collection of Enid Blyton books on Ebay. Bought them from a Seller local to me and collected them. All in all it accounted for nearly all the of the Rewards Series that I used to collect in the 70's (and which I stupidly got rid of). Unfortunately there was not a copy of the Three Golliwogs in there though.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

UU/binned Morrisons senstive toothpaste, wiba, NO! Used it twice before it went in the bin. It wasn't a paste more of a thick gravy consistancy, no mint flavour and it left a horrible film on my teeth
Also binned Lush Ultrabalm, wiba, no. I was hoping this would replace my vasaline for my lips yet be more natural, but teh feeling on my lips are horrid and it lasts only a few mins before rubbing off. Oh and it tastes awful
So in, sensodyne toothpaste0 -

It doesn't make any fancy claims like pore shrinking or spot fighting or blackhead clearing, it just CLEANS. But it does all of those things anyway because just the act of cleaning your face goes a long way towards achieving clear skin.
And it smells gorgeous.
And it's £3.99 and often on BOGOF :j
Thanks for the review, sounds lush!rosemary54 wrote: »any one else having problems with debs site?I have tried to put 2 Clarins items in the basket but then keep getting an error:(,......maybe DH has blocked it:rotfl::rotfl:
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Ladies,
I have no bubble bath, and just a few lush bath bombs left, and have re-discovered the joys of baths since getting my own bath in my own flat - so relaxing!
I'll still buy the odd lush bomb/bubble bar, and I've got some shower gel I could use as bath foam, but I haven't got a massive stash of shower gel, so don't really need to use it up...
So, any suggestions about a really nice bath foam to treat myself too? I'd like something that makes lots of bubbles, and is also moisturising, and nothing really floral.
I also don't mind paying for something top end, if it's really nice, as it'd be a treat for myselfAnd I'd be buying in the UK on my next trip back.
Ideas?
I love the Sanctuary bath float, and am really looking forward to trying out the BS Polynesia bath milk. HTH.Get to 119lbs! 1/2/09: 135.6lbs 1/5/11: 145.8lbs 30/3/13 150lbs 22/2/14 137lbs 2/6/14 128lbs 29/8/14 124lbs 2/6/17 126lbs

Glad to see I've sparked some reading reminiscences
I loved the Enid Blyton books too. Always wanted to go to boarding school. I didn't realise that only the 'posh' kids went there and if I'd lived at that time I'd have most likely been the scullery maid or something!
I have all the St Clare's & Malory Towers, the Adventure series with Kiki the parrot (which I loved), some of the Secret series and a lot of the Famous Five and Secret Seven books (which I might start collecting next!)I used to go to a boarding school in the 1970's . I was 9 -13years old. It was never that much fun, and if you did get caught then it was cruel punishments. We had the most sadistic Nuns ever when I was in my last year there!.
My sister had more fun then me, but she was older, and she ended up getting Suspended for some misdemeanour or other!.
Oh no, you've totally ruined my childhood fantasies of midnight feasts!I wandered into The Works on my walk home from work today and lo and behold.....Mallory Towers, St. Clare's, Famous Five and the Mystery series all on the shelves for about £2 a book! I used to love the boarding school books and also read some more modern ones in the 80s called Trebizon (I think).
Ooh, I might check this out!I never thought this was as good as The Faraway Tree though. When my daughter was a toddler (she's now 12) I bought a huge collection of Enid Blyton books on Ebay. I loved the Faraway Tree ones too!
I tried to multiquote more posts but it wouldn't let me for some reason!
I don't think I need to join the 'no buying books' thread, I'm pretty good with them, out of the 680 books I own, there's only 16 I haven't read, and most of them are different translations of Russian books and I don't want to read them too soon after reading other translations of the same books (yes, that's another one of my collecting habits - I own three different translations of War & Peace!).
Back OT, my Body Shop Vitamin E Eye Cream is finally spluttering, about time too, I've been using it since last June, I don't know where it all comes from, the tube is tiny!Sealed Pot Challenge Number 1225

Hi everyone
I have a UU to report - BS Camomile eye make up remover lotion - WIBA - Yes definately as this is my HG of removers. I don't need any more at the mo as I have a few left in my stash
I chucked out a Neals Yard Rosehip oil as it was ancient and has lost its smell - I had bought it to put on the small scar where I had a mole removed from my face. So don't need to replace it.
Does everyone here use a night cream? I have started to as I need to use up my stash and it might helpDon't know if it has made any difference yet but will hopefully see after a month.
Tara - have never really had a problem with blackheads but do you use a face mask - I believe there are some that are good for BH's like clay and dead sea salt etc
Have you ever tried those nose strips - that is if you have them on your nose.Anyway good luck with that.
Have managed to get 2 shifts this weekend - Yay - need the dosh.
So just won't have time to go out and spend :rotfl:
Keep up the good work everyone :j0 -
There's another TSV coming up on 3 March which includes another 30ml pot of PCMC. I'm wavering as to whether I'll buy this cos it's got the night cream and new eye cream in it but I already have a year's supply of PCMC. Will decide on the day. Have decided though that if I'm good this month and don't buy anything then this could be a treat to me in March.
(snip)
:jThanks for this Valm - will be very tempted. I have loved everything from the one and only TSV I've bought (didn't even know what that meant before I joined this thread - you lot really are a bad influence :rotfl: ) Do you know if the frangipani shower gel will be in it?0
