I've not read too far back but I also loved Mallory Towers, The Magic Faraway Tree and The Famous Five as a kid. A few Christmases ago my mum bought my the Magic Faraway tree books as I'd given my old ones away long ago and really regretted it. It's brilliant! The only disappointing thing is that they've changed some of the names.

An IN for me today - thought I'd try the BS Seaweed facial wash, so ordered it off the website and it came today. Think they must have got it wrong cos it's £2.50 for 60ml or £7 for 100ml, - surely this is a no brainer?! It's free delivery at the mo and I ordered through Quidco for 12% off so only cost £2.20. AND I actually needed it as my lump of Lush Coalface is nearly done and I had no face cleaning anything in stock (apart from wipes but I don't use them in the mornings). How very MSE :T:T

Also forgot to say hello to bargainbetty, I think - anyone who has a 36 roll stash is in the right place here .. I have the equivalent of 8.5 rolls currently in and I live with my adult son.

Hiya  I think we've got about 24/25 rolls in at the mo - but the 5 of us wont take that long to finish them off!!!

Which reminds me of two jokes:

Joke A) How many men does it take to change a loo roll?

Joke B) What's the difference between a man who changes the loo roll and a unicorn?

    ...................................................................................................

Joke A) Nobody knows, it's never happened.

Joke B) One is a mythological creature and the other is a horse with a big horn on its head.

LOL in our house DP mainly changes our loo roll - but only because he bought a holder that I struggle to open, so half the time I think "sod it" and just plonk the new roll on top! :o

  • I have another UU to report - Richard Ward Ultimate Repair Hair Mask (150ml), not sure if you can still get it... it's been in my stash for a long time - it was a bargain when I got it (something like 50p). This is the last hair mask I've got in my stash so I might have to get my first "in" of the year - but can probably hold out for a little bit longer as I've got some little tubes of VO5 hot oil that I can use instead.

OMG, I so need to join that thread! :rotfl:

Me too. I wanted to have midnight feasts in a dormitory full of other girls, sounded like great fun!

I'm glad it's working for you! Hopefully the spots etc are only temporary, I look forward to seeing how my skin looks in a week or two.

I so need to get rid of my blackheads too, any tips ladies????

Oh yes, I forgot to say - I'm thinking of having my teeth whitened. I am a bit  about the price, but my eBay sales have been going soooo well lately (see sig) that I think I should treat myself. Has anyone else had it done? I'll be going to my dentist obviously but am a bit scared of the bleaching process i.e. will it hurt? Thanks in advance xo

p.s. going to put £1.66 in the pot for the P&P body serum as that's what I paid. :)

I used to go to a boarding school in the 1970's . I was 9 -13years old. It was never that much fun, and if you did get caught then it was cruel punishments. We had the most sadistic Nuns ever when I was in my last year there!.
My sister had more fun then me, but she was older, and she ended up getting Suspended for some misdemeanour or other!.
When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.
  • Decided to be very :money: and buy a hair dye rather than parting with 60 quid for the hairdresser to do it this weekend and fancied trying the new John Frida foam colour which I'm let to believe is on offer for £4.99 in superdrug:j:j
    http://www.superdrug.com/john-frieda+reg-precision-foam-colour/page/johnfriedahaircolour/

Apparently there is a £2.50 off voucher knocking about too - anyone know where I can lay my hands on one??

    TIA xx

I wandered into The Works on my walk home from work today and lo and behold.....Mallory Towers, St. Clare's, Famous Five and the Mystery series all on the shelves for about £2 a book! I used to love the boarding school books and also read some more modern ones in the 80s called Trebizon (I think).

Back OT, I'm giving up on the Elle McP Bare mini set. My legs have been so itchy and despite 2 applications per day of the so-called Body Butter for the last 2 days they're no better so its going in the bin. The scrub is also horrible, its like sand in the bottom of the bath and was too scratchy. I'll finish the Body Wash up but I'm very glad I only paid £2 in the Boots 75% sale for the set, its definitely not worth £8!! The smell is odd too, each product smells different, none of them particularly nice :( On a good note the shower puff is lovely, really soft and luxurious :D
  • 2 UU to report...The pink cow- Strawberry sundae scrub, WIBA no it smells like strawberry medicine yuk yuk
Timotei golden highlights conditioner- WIBA yes definately smells so nice and my hair loves it which is more than I can say for the lastest hord its making me itch a bit.

Just been to Tesco and almost caught myself looking at the beauty offers eekk.
Debt free and busy treating myself:)

No more toiletries/make up until I've used what I've got stashed since Jan 2011, graduated October 2012. Restocked Dec 13..damn those sales
