morning all, another couple of UU to report...
UU: Simple face wash gel - WIBA? nope, didn't really do much for my skin.
UU: Boots Botanics engergising shower gel - WIBA? if on offer yes as I really like this one.
Also through out a garnier face peel - smelled a bit funny and tingled too much when I put it on (then quickly washed it off!).
Onwards and upwards! (though think it may be a while before my next UU as thing all seem to be lasting well with no spluttering at the minute!)New surname New start!

I've read quite a few of those: I preferred the Malory Towers and St. Clare's though. They really were the very definition of a high-class finishing school type educations. I always remember the book where a girl spilled a bottle of perfume on her skirt and had a nest of bees land on it as a result! (I hate bees!)
BTW, there's a thread for you new addiction: 'No Buying More Books Until I've Read the Ones I've Already Bought'.:rotfl:
OMG, I so need to join that thread! :rotfl:freebird65 wrote: »Ahhhhhh....Mallory Towers & St Claires......I was such a bookworm as a kid and have all of these - I used to BEG my Mum to send me away to boarding school.
Me too. I wanted to have midnight feasts in a dormitory full of other girls, sounded like great fun!thevicster wrote: »I'm using that at the moment too ! Will finish on 21st, haven't noticed much difference so far, but my skin does seem a bit brighter
I'm glad it's working for you! Hopefully the spots etc are only temporary, I look forward to seeing how my skin looks in a week or two.
I so need to get rid of my blackheads too, any tips ladies????
Oh yes, I forgot to say - I'm thinking of having my teeth whitened. I am a bit  about the price, but my eBay sales have been going soooo well lately (see sig) that I think I should treat myself. Has anyone else had it done? I'll be going to my dentist obviously but am a bit scared of the bleaching process i.e. will it hurt? Thanks in advance xo

Ladies,
I have no bubble bath, and just a few lush bath bombs left, and have re-discovered the joys of baths since getting my own bath in my own flat - so relaxing!
I'll still buy the odd lush bomb/bubble bar, and I've got some shower gel I could use as bath foam, but I haven't got a massive stash of shower gel, so don't really need to use it up...
So, any suggestions about a really nice bath foam to treat myself too? I'd like something that makes lots of bubbles, and is also moisturising, and nothing really floral.
I also don't mind paying for something top end, if it's really nice, as it'd be a treat for myselfAnd I'd be buying in the UK on my next trip back.
Ideas?0 -
Fixx, I am a bath devotee and I've honestly never found anything as scrumptious as the Lush bubble bars - you've obviously tried them already though! :beer:Less stuff, more life, love, laughter and cats!
Even if I'm on the shopping threads, it doesn't mean I'm buying! Sometimes it's good to just look and then hit the CLOSE button!0 -
UU for me: Lush Waving Not Drowning ballistic, as part of Using Up Bath Stuff Week. WIBA? It's a discon so I couldn't if I wanted to
but it did smell amazing so I'd probably buy it occasionally as a treat if they still made it.

They are school stories and were written from the 1920s-60s or thereabouts. There are over 50 in the series and I've been half-heartedly collecting them for a long time - this week I seem to have been pursuing this in earnest and have had 4 delivered already and another 4 winging their way to me!
yes, I remember them - they were great books, and I reread a couple last year when I was ill and wanted something cheerful to read :rotfl: I never liked Jo though, even if she was the heroine - I preferred Frieda and Madge0 -

I too have normal/oily skin (although it seems to be getting oilier and also find that foaming washes make it feel tight. I am struggling through a bottle of Decleor foaming wash at the mo (using it at night only) for this reason. During the day I use Elemis Melting Gel cleanser (the new one) but this has an oily consistency so maybe I'll have to switch this to my night time cleanser and then when I run out of daytime cleanser (have another Elemis balancing cleanser in stock) try and remember this one! I loved these and also The Naughtiest Girl, Faraway Tree and Mystery books. I think the Mystery books were the prelude to Famous Five and Secret Seven but I never got into these.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

In the spirit of the thread I started doing my list of bathroom 'stuff' yesterday - should be finished on Friday when I drag the boxes back out of the cupboard in the hall as well.
I also decided to begin with a PRCP moment, and showered using the Molton Brown gift set I was given in 2007 and have been saving for a special occasion. It's body wash and gels etc. How special does the day have to be when you want to use something flash to wash your ars.... sorry.
I was also shocked to discover that I have four full 9 roll packs of Andrex. 36 loo rolls. I live alone. Should I be worried about myself? Some days, it's just not worth chewing through the leather straps....
