p.s. Jacks xxx, I've reposted this here as you may not be on the old thread any more. Just looking for a bit of advice re Elasticizer (and congratulating you on zero spend).

Tara You may have spent a few £££ cherub, but look at what you got for it!:beer:
On the Elasticizer front I found that I got a good result on the first go, but that it improved even more on the next one. Having said that I've been doing without it for a little while now and people are still telling me how "lucky" I am to have nice hair. (I guess the results haven't worn off yet!)
Rightio that's it. I'm calling it I think. That's the end of the whole month with no spend whatso-diddly-ever. WooooooHoooooooo!:dance::dance::dance:
Thanks for the support lovelies!
Roll On February! :j
Well, yes, I did do rather well on value for money:D:D:D
Wish I'd bought the big tub of Elasticizer when it was 30% off at New Year on HQHair!!! How do you apply it? I am going to use my little 20ml up before deciding whether to splash out but don't want to do it wrong. TIA!

Good luck Roshy, hope all goes well on Friday
First UU of Feb, dark angels face wash, wiba, no. It used to be my HG of face washes/cleanser however I now much prefer coal face as its less abrasive and is so much easier to use.0 -
Morning, happy February all
.
Sarah, glad you got a diagnosis, hope you start to feel a bit better soon and woohoo for getting congratulated on your appearance despite feeling parp
Roshy, good luck Friday. I think you got your redundancy to (hopefully) give a boost to your savings when you leave the old job for this new one. What will be, will be. I'll keep my highly moisturised fingers crossed for you.
I had another throw out last night. I found a double ended lip gloss on the sofa when I was decluttering (whole other thread!) and chucked it. I know DD has pinched it for her stash but my sister bought it for me to wear for my wedding 10 years ago and DD is only 9. It's never going to get UU because I don't like lip gloss and it was a pale pink. Well I'm dark, dark brown hair with reddish bits in (more so in the summer as it gets bleached by the sun), brown eyes and very pale skin. I wear sheer browns for my colours.
I'm going to go and body moisturise. I didn't do it last night, DH got the bath first so the water was nearly cold when I got in. When I got out, it was chuffing freezing so I leaped into my jammies and fluffy dressing gown. I'm feeling a bit dry today so will go and cream my legs and feet. As I'm still sitting with my coat on, I won't do the rest as it just aint that warm!
Hmm, wonder how many UU's I'll manage this month? Probably not many but some lotions are going to be gone soon.Debt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.0 -

I have had a bit of bad news today and found out that I am getting made redundant (I was half expecting this, hence me applying for jobs for the past month or so) so I really need to keep expenditure down and fingers crossed I find something quickly.
Good luck this month girls!x
Hope Friday goes well for you roshydoshy!I'm in again for February, and considering my shameful spends in January I'm pretty sure I can make it thru 28 days without buying much. Possible needs will be deodorant, foundation and hair dye. I also have a bid on some Insolence EDT on eBay that finishes tomorrow, I'm half hoping I don't win
Love Guerlain Insolence and used up a 100ml bottle before Xmas then got bought Guerlain Idylle 35ml EDP as a gift and that is gorgeous too!I think now is a good time for me to join this thread as i have been following since April 2010 and my stash has been steadily growing since then. I had never even heard of S&G until following this thread, now I have 2 storage boxes full of the stuff!!!!:rotfl:
I do read about other peoples stash and get massive stash envy!
But really need to concentrate on saving up so must learn to be a mse :money:
Welcome rachel84 -I know what you mean about stash envy but my dressing table drawers can barely close! Must make an effort to do my stash list this month:o and although I had a mini shower gel splurge last month I am still steadily using stuff up.
I too am aiming for ZERO spend this month. ( Mantra: Must not look at grabbit thread, Must not look at grabbit thread,Must not look at grabbit thread!)
First UU of Feb:T Liz Earle Skin Tonic Spritzer 200ml WIBA -yes but not yet. I have decanted a Neal's Yard Remedies orange flower water into the spritzer bottle and I also have an A'Kin lavender toner half used as well but I'm not so keen on that one.
I'm sure we can all make through the next 28 days:dance:0 -
1st of the month and I have a UU! S&G Hair Supply, bit low on conditioner and had a couple of these part used
so thought I'd use them up
. WIBA? This was one of the first things I bought from S&G after being given a gift set for my birthday several years ago and I liked it then but not so sure now and haven't purchased again, just had several minis in sets. So no I probably wouldn't buy again, nothing really wrong with it but I don't think it does a lot for me.

Morning ladies :j
I followed this thread last month (well most of it - I couldnt keep up at times! :rotfl:)
Anyway, I've started having second thoughts when looking at toiletries etc and thinking - do I really need any more? So some of your influence is definately rubbing off.
My weakness is probably Avon - when that book comes each month and I'm flicking through for the bargains that month and thinking "should I order that in case they discontinue it soon?"
Now I've got a storage box overflowing with toiletries that wont fit in the bathroom cupboard so I definately need to start using up stuff instead of buying!!!XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX:wave:XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX0 -

See - thats how they trap us - make something we're convinced we can't live without - then tell us this is it! no more after this week/month/issue so we buy it all up - then six months later it comes back under a slightly new name, fancier packaging and twice the price - just as we are using up the last of our carefully hoarded stash - and so the cycle begins again ...
I'm off for a nap! Have to meet OH in town later and I figure if I time it right I can get there with enough time to get puppy pads but no time to face temptation :rotfl:
