I am feeling slightly ashamed of myself and my hoarding ways ! My DD (14 soon) decided to declutter her make up stash -while it has been built mostly from presents from friends and family and freebies (teen magazines always seem to give away some sort of cosmetic) she has also bought some with her pocket money. Anyway, she decided to do a cull and OMG was she ruthless - 'I don't need that, I'll never wear that, that's old/horrible,' you get the picture.

Why oh why can't I do the same? I have bucket loads of cosmetics which in all probability will never be anywhere near my face but are too old to give to anyone? Why am I keeping them?

Maybe u should let your daughter sort your stash?!! :rotfl:

UU - Body Shop Coconut Body Butter. WIBA? Yes, but only if it was on offer - it smelt lovely (Body Shop non-fruit stuff always smells properly of what it is and strongly enough to get whiffs of it throughout the day but not so much that it's overpowering) and was very moisturising and sinks in really well, but I think £12 is a bit pricey so would wait until it was on a deal.

Lush Melting Marshmallow Moment WIBA? Yes, i love this! Although i did cheat a bit, usually i cut it in half and have 2 baths out of one, tonight i just threw the whole one in!
Lush So White Bath Ballistic WIBA? Maybe, its a Christmas product, lasted ages in the bath though!
B Scent Sugar Scrub WIBA? Bnever was Lush's sister company, shut down last year and this was my 1 renaming B item from their closing down sale. Couldn't buy it even if i wanted to!

--Gave up on make up bits that don't suit me. Goodbye MUA bronzers, Max Factor powder foundation, Tesco 3 in 1 powder foundation (every time I use this I get spots). Clunk into the bin.
--This list is getting smaller as things are getting under control. Things listed here I think I have too much of hence....No need to buy until. And as I get them under control they move into the HG category. Done!

one gone - unfortunately in the bin some trial moisturiser i was sent..... smelt very odd indeed!

i thought i had it all under some sort of control with the no7 day cream 15ml gwp that i have several of, then at the back of the drawer what did i find? a blooming 50ml jar unused! aaaarrrrgh! im still with the theory that they are breeding!

no in's to report! im off to begin my newly acquired bed routine of slathering on several layers of moisturiser! :rotfl::rotfl:

I keep finding moisturiser too... two 50g jars in the last 2 days, both Aldi's Lacura range. The Q10 day cream is looking a bit yellow, put it on today and it didn't really go in well. I'm going to demote it to foot cream, as I think it's a bit too greasy to use as a body cream.
I think that's the lot now, I can't think of anywhere else I've hidden any, but one never knows. Though I did put a serum freebie down somewhere the other day and can't find it now. It's still in the box it was posted in so it should turn up soon.

I've caught up on most of the thread, will hopefully finish catching up later.

From what I've read so far there have been some impressive stash lists with lots of gorgeous products.

Aprilshower 894 products:eek::) and Sophy 32 mascaras:eek::) thanks for these admissions. I can now declare my meagre:rotfl:total stash of 360 products.:o This does not include dental, cotton wool or makeup but does include 78 free samples/sachets. This count is of items as of 2nd Jan, so includes my purchases that day. I have UU 11 products from this total in January and not bought anything since.:T

I intend to count anything incoming, including free samples, as an in for the purpose of my totals. I will allow myself free samples and necessary items without considering it a fail, but items bought with AC points I'll treat as if I paid cash.

Doing my lists I was surprised at how many of the same type of product I have open at the same time. Although I won't get it down to one of each I'd like to reduce the number of items in the "in use/opened to smell/tried out" category.

:rotfl:Well caught up with all the pages (in between watching last week's Silent Wittness in anticipation for tomorrow).
So far I have gathered between here and the Grabbit board there's cheap deodorants/ BS coupon next weekend as well as Glamour perfume. Can't justify £15 on perfume this month but it is my birthday soon so maybe an early treat?
Forget that at the end of last month I did take back the big Joules bathroom tidy that I got in 75% Boots sale :A
Have a couple of splutters - Olay facial wash, and a couple of BBs. Have painted my nails tonight in anticpation of work tomorrow (don't often have time for that).

Enjoyed a lovely pampering session tonight but still have no UUs to report. My Decleor Clay mask in now spluttering and I really want this out of the way so I can get stuck into my MB Snowclay mask which was bought a while ago.

I will also be attacking my hand cream tube with scissors tonight to get to the last dregs of it before I open my S & G one.

I have only UU one product a week into this month so it looks like it will be a quiet month for me. Well at least I will have some change left in my purse for parking .
