Mind you - I wouldn't have been in bl00dy Boots if my Dr hadn't given me a new prescription to fill today ;) (Superdrug & BS are entirely my fault :rotfl:)

I didn't know that the Nazis had started doing cosmetics :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
:rotfl::rotfl:So that's who we can blame!
Two ins for me:
Ted baker perfume and shower gel set, as an unexpected belated birthday present, which was very nice! I've never used Ted Baker toiletries before, but they smell lovely.
Chanel calming emulsion. I daren't report how much this cost, but my skin has been getting worse and worse and there are good reports of this on MUA. So it's practically medicinal...The SA did say that it was being discontinued though, so if it's good I may have to stock up asap.
Congratulations SJP!! Best wishes to you and your new family. x0 -
Tara I spoke to my dentist briefly about teeth bleaching when I lived abroad. I decided not to have it done as she mentioned it can cause/worsen sensitivity and my teeth are already sensitive. She also said it does not correct any variation in the shades of teeth as it will whiten all the teeth by the same number of shades.
Thanks for that marie2. I will go to my dentist soon for a consultation and ask about it. I really want to get it done, but only if it's safe.juliebunny wrote: »bargainbetty wrote: »My ex flat mate (bloke) moved into a place with a shower and no bath, so still comes back over to mine now and again for a soak in the tub. LOL that is funny - aren't you a nice friend!! Lucky for him he doesn't use the nice /Sanctuary stuff - I can just imagine him tipping a whole poshMini bubble bath into one bathload and you being torn between distress at the wanton abuse of your lovely stash and happiness at having a UU :T

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Hi, I'm a lurker since 2010, but this is the first time I post (I've been failing miserably trying to stick to the "no buying"!).
Anyway, just wanted to point out that in other countries Valentine's is actually the "Day of love and friendship", so it was nice of your friend to get you something.
It's also a nice thing to adhere to when you don't have a special someone to spend Valentine's with! (I had many a day like that with my best mate, both of us grumbling over all the loved up couples walking past...:rotfl:)

EssexHebridean wrote: »I don't have any UU's or IN's to report, but I do, I think, have a cautious recommendation. When I started doing Avon I got a few freebie bits from the ANEW range to use - the Reversalist Night Sterling Emulsion that I have recently started on was one of these. I am hugely cynical about the claims that these creams make, and when I was reading the leaflet that came with it saying that it would make your skin smoother immediately, brighter in a matter of days, and make you look 5 years younger in 14 days, I have to admit to laughing uproariously......that was three days ago, and so far, well, it WORKS!
My skin feels softer, and smoother, and, dare I say it, brighter too. I feel almost embarassed - I so rarely find a skincare product of any sort that actually delivers what it promises, but so far at least this really seems to. I shall gove it a while longer and, if all goes well, start singing its praises long and loud to my customers!
Thanks for the review and keep us posted when the 14 days are up!One of the reasons I have so much stuff is I expect amazing results the first time i use something, when it doesn't do that I buy something else. Doing this challenge I am using my stuff religiously every day and my skin looks better than it has in years, before I would use a face wipe and no moisturiser and my skin looked awful but the cupboards were groaning with gorgeous products.
I'm the exact same - I always want quick results and am repeatedly suckered by the miracle claims of new products!!! And I also agree with juliebunny about 'breaking open' pretty sets lol. Since starting this challenge I have still struggled with opening the 'best' stuff but I am much better now (and my skin is thanking me for it).Get to 119lbs! 1/2/09: 135.6lbs 1/5/11: 145.8lbs 30/3/13 150lbs 22/2/14 137lbs 2/6/14 128lbs 29/8/14 124lbs 2/6/17 126lbs

I was totally  too when I read your post!!!!! Take care in future xoxoxo
I never used to cut up tubes either, I'm annoyed at all the products and money I wasted before this challenge!!!!!!! :eek:No ins or outs for me. Lol at the other addictions which come out in this thread! Shopping bags etc. I think that decluttering the toiletries does gradually creep accross all areas of life. As we start to use up our lovely products in pampering ourselves we are creating space. The other thing that happens is that we may be lying in the bath soaking away and the bathroom is really cluttered. So you end up clearing it out because it's not restful and you don't enjoy your pampering then. So that's one room sorted.
Once the bathroom stash is under control, you find yourself wondering why on earth you have toiletries stashed all around the house so you start to move them bit by bit into the bathroom. That creates more space in the rest of the house.
Only, you've got so much stuff stashed everywhere that you have to dig out a cupboard full of tat to get to your pretties. So you end up decluttering that too. And so on!
This making ourselves feel better about our toiletries addiction is going to spread into us having lovely homes.
If you are going for a full on house declutter though, please be very careful. I appear to have decluttered a Pandora bead which I was given for Christmas. I can't find the damn thing anywhere. I have just bought a bracelet and spacer to go with it as I didn't actually have a pandora bracelet and now can't find the bead to go with it. These are really expensive and I'm so gutted. Hoping to be able to find it at the weekend but I'm sure I got rid of a hideous necklace which I was given at Christmas (blue jewellery box) which I found when looking for the bead (blue jewellery box).
Mind you, it's also a reminder to gifters, MiL bought me a bead when I didn't actually have a bracelet to wear it on. She didn't tell DH that she was getting it or he could have got me the bracelet. If I'd had the bracelet already, the bead wouldn't get lost as it would have been put with the bracelet in a large jewellery box instead of a tiny squashed box.
So let's all think about what we give people as gifts because they aren't always well recieved (I did love it though). SiL also got a bead and doesn't have a bracelet. Maybe she'll let me have hers :rotfl:?
Anyhoo, enough waffling. I need to go and get tea on. I shall have a nice bath tonight before work and try to decide what to do this weekend. Decluttering stylee......
What a lovely point re decluttering.I have numerous other addictions too, such as Cath Kidston bags and retro teacups. And I need to keep decluttering my house!
Hope you find your Pandora bead xoxoGet to 119lbs! 1/2/09: 135.6lbs 1/5/11: 145.8lbs 30/3/13 150lbs 22/2/14 137lbs 2/6/14 128lbs 29/8/14 124lbs 2/6/17 126lbs

Technically speaking I ought to be using the next age group down - the rejuvenate, but I intend to completely confuse my face by going on to some stuff from that range next! :rotfl:
Without wishing to tempt people by the way - in a couple of campaigns time there are some good deals coming up on "starter packs" of the Anew range - they will be sold at £10 and will contain a 50ml cleanser/wash, a 15ml day cream, a 15ml night cream, and a full size eye cream, and they will also come with a £10 voucher to use off a full size regime set. There will be one set available for each of the four Anew regime ranges. The starter packs would be an excellent chance for anyone who wants to try the range without breaking the bank - the eye creams alone usually sell for £11 - £21 depending on which age group they are!
Just had an Avon Lady round last week , first one in years and although I didn't buy anything from the brouchure I said I would still like to receive one in future. Now I will definitely get the Anew starter pack - its sounds fab and I will tell a friend about it to.
Do you think it is worth asking if they have a separate leaflet with Liz Earle stuff in (seen as Avon own it now). Maybe it would only be for Avon sellers?1 UU last night to report - Clarins Smoothing Body scrub for a new skin, WIBA? No way, this one was not "scrubby" enough for me. Oh my! DD just received an unsolicited letter from Boots this morning asking her to become a Boots product tester. I don't know whether to laugh or cry
I recommend crying! :rotfl: Lucky her.Has anyone else tried the sample Olay Regenerist SPF30 cream that was sent out a few days ago??
Tried it this morning and I dont think my skin likes it. Felt a bit itchy when I first put it on - and didnt feel as nice to apply as the 3 point serum. Wasnt too keen on the smell either.
Also, with the 3 point....it says to apply to 'decolletage' - does anyone actually do this??? :rotfl:
Yes, I always moisturise my neck and decolletage morning and night.thevicster wrote: »I'm almost finshed with 21 days of the S&G wish uopn a jar and I really don't like it! So I guess I'll e chucking the rest of it away when I'm done with it on Monday.
Oh, shame.FWIW, I do think that my skin looks better since finishing the 21 day regime, so be patient and hang onto it a little longer. :A It is a very heavy cream, and made me break out as well - but the spots have totally gone since I finished using it. I have about half the pot left and will definitely use it again, probably in the summer (in answer to sofababe, I think you just use as much as you need and then keep the rest for another 21-day treatment in a few months' time).
