I know what you mean about house prices. I was looking to move down to Cornwall around 97/98 and even considered buying my mum and dad's old house which was a 2 bedroom fisherman's cottage. The price they were asking (about £48,000) was not much more than what we bought our one bedroom starter home in Newbury. Those houses are now going for about £140,000/£160,000.

Well I intend moving down there one day and the way things are at the moment that may be sooner rather than later.

Wow, £48,000! Even £140,000 is not bad for such a lovely-sounding house and you may get it for less in the current climate. I wish you all the best xo

Jacks, WELL DONE on not buying anything so far in 2011, you are an inspiration!!!! :T

A UU to report. The L'Occitane Verbena Liquid Soap is now finished. In the end I put the last drops into my bath tonight cos there was too little to go up the pump and too much to tip out into my hands to wash. Have now refilled the bottle with an eco pack of the same fragrance.

Do L'Occitane do refill packs ????
It's the Anew Reversalist Sterling Night Emulsion - its blurb promises just the kind of rubbish I am usually very cynical about - "5 years younger in 14 days" etc, but I have to confess that it looks, and feels as though it might actually be delivering to a large extent! :o Technically speaking I ought to be using the next age group down - the rejuvenate, but I intend to completely confuse my face by going on to some stuff from that range next! :rotfl:

Without wishing to tempt people by the way - in a couple of campaigns time there are some good deals coming up on "starter packs" of the Anew range - they will be sold at £10 and will contain a 50ml cleanser/wash, a 15ml day cream, a 15ml night cream, and a full size eye cream, and they will also come with a £10 voucher to use off a full size regime set. There will be one set available for each of the four Anew regime ranges. The starter packs would be an excellent chance for anyone who wants to try the range without breaking the bank - the eye creams alone usually sell for £11 - £21 depending on which age group they are! :D

I've not seen an Avon book in years, will have to find a rep as really interested in the starter pack ( looks like i'm failing for March already:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:)
:) On the age thing with skin - I don't take any notice of that stuff. I love Clarins and have used ranges in all 'ages'. I think you can never start too young to look after your skin no matter what the product is labelled. I'm very thorough now about my neck and decollege (ah spelling) - as I want to minimise having a wrinkly chest!

This is something that i need to remember, could anyone recommend a good product for the decollage??

Just going to carry on readimg through brb :p

    Still haven't bought anything! :j
:A:A How do you do it???? Thats fab.....

No use ups for me this weekend, i have 2 ins :embarasse went and got 2 more of the 3 day straight serums, as used mine and i'm pretty impressed with it..... i did buy it with my points card though :A

Forgot to take my skinny with me, so might have to call in the smaller B**ts tomorrow when i go register the birth (its next door, so would be rude not to :p ) but not sure what to get with it.... Really need to refrain from the mini's glitch though....

I'm trying to convince myself that the glitch will happen again when my stash is smaller

Cornwall is a lovely part of the country, been trying to get down for an holiday for the last couple of years, really hoping we can get down this year.... I love St Ives.....

Have a lovely evening ladies :T

SJP, you are a Bootsing legend! LOL at the dark circles cream, surely you have something in your stash already that would sort those out. :rotfl:

How does the minis glitch work again? I am being so dumb today! Is it only Sanctuary or S&G as well? Is it only instore and do you need a skinnie, and is it only bath/body products? TIA.

I probably won't actually do it (honestly - I don't tend to stockpile travel toiletries as they don't represent 'good value' to me and I have plenty of pots that I refill for travelling), but I'm just curious.

    Hello all!

    Tara - welcome back!

SJP - my bf was moaning at me for how many times I've been in Boots the last few days (trying to spend vouchers) so I just had to tell hi about your multi-tasking registering your little pricesses birth and popping in to Boots next door :rotfl:

EssexHebredian - thanks for the Avon tip off - I've never ordered anything from my rep yet but she faithfully still drops off the catalogue and sends her hubby to collect it. I guess they don't mind as long as you give it back.

I posted earlier that I had a carrier bag on my doorstep yesterday asking do I want a Nivea handcream, full size to try - bit suspicious of anything free  but of course I ticked yes and left it out and today there it was hanging on the door handle! They just want me to post a review of it - Nivea Visage daily essential and 2 teeny sachets of age defying (what are they trying to say!) hand cream. Wonder if they'll send me more free stuff if I rave about it? Was fascinated by the information about Amazon reviews leading to product tesing invites (McCulloch posted this I think - she's probably away playing with her new vax!).

Still can't find anything worthwhile to spend my £5 skincare vouchers on and not going to buy expensive stuff when it's just for the stash - that I shouldn't be topping up anyway!

Was just er passing the Body shop today too and popped in for some hand cream and got chatting to the lovely (as always in BS) SA. I asked a bit cheekily about the March voucher someone on here had mentioned and she pulled one out from behind the counter for me! :T Not valid for a few weeks - need to find out what the criteria (normally) will be for getting this - great offer as it's £10 off £20 spend so half price goodies - not that I need anything (I seem to say that a lot but still not working to stop me!)

Also bought some bits at Boots but they are for my pressie stash including and one of my friends who reads this forum.....but is too scared to post!! cluck cluck you know who you are come on stop lurking!!:D:D

Off to update my signature with my sins from today....
Less stuff, more life, love, laughter and cats!
Even if I'm on the shopping threads, it doesn't mean I'm buying! Sometimes it's good to just look and then hit the CLOSE button!
