    Hi Izames wave-1_e0.gif
I hope you managed to find the inspiration that you were looking for. No matter how much you want to lose, all you can do is take it one day at a time.

    ----

By this time next week I'm going to need some new feet.
My and a dog walking pal (hi sweetcheeks13 if youre lurking by the way) did a 7 mile walk on Saturday, 8m yesterday, will be doing 8.5 today, and have longer 10m walks planned out for every day up to saturday. Altogether it comes to 71 miles, which as the crow flies, is the same as Birmingham to Manchester :D

I mentioned this to the old lady next door when we were in the supermarket cafe on sunday and she said that it's way too ambitious and we wont do it. So now we have a bet on and the loser buys next weeks breakfasts!!
So wether rain or shine (but probably rain) I have a plan and I intend to stick to it!

Wow! That's some task- how do you manage it? Did you walk a lot at your heaviest or is it a recent thing? I think my legs would fall off!

It's great to have a challenge for yourself and a bet to compete against. A great target. Good for you.

Hello everyone, and thank you for the warm welcome!

Well, I now know where I'm starting from and where I want to go. As they say a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step, so like puddings said it's one day at a time :). Today I'm going to meal plan, using some of the fantastic links and recipes on this thread, and start reducing all the high carb/fat things I've got into the habit of eating. I'm going put all the biscuits, sweets and crisps on top of the high cupboards in the kitchen - if I can't reach them easily I'm less likely to go snacking!

My Wii did go 'ouch', and then my mii looked surprised when it got fatter! Still, I played tennis for a while, which is a bit of a workout as I throw myself around after the ball. My son thinks this is hilarious as he just sits on the sofa flicking his wrist!

    Onwards and downwards :D

I have a question. Diet pills...what do you think?

I am controlling my eating and doing regular high intenisty exercise (zumba - I love it). I wondered what you thought about diet pills to be added into the mix to help things along. I have bought something from the chemist which says it is a traditional herbal remedy for the treatment of obesity made from bladderwrack (fucus vesiculosus). What do you think? A waste of time (and money), a cheat, unhealthy, or it's all in the mind and the other measures I am taking to lose weight will be the main reason for any losses.

My thinking is that it is not in place of the healthy way of life, but it might help things along which can't hurt......can it??? I have never taken any diet pills before as I think you ought to suffer your way down so that you don't go back up again (hasn't worked in the past though!!!)

    Comments and opinions welcome.
