I'm looking for some help in chosing a broadband supplier - I've told mine where to go after not having broadband for nearly 6 weeks now, but seem to be going round and round in circles.
We live in rural area in which the only LLU provider is BT, and many companies like O2 don't cover this area. Everytime I look for reviews of most companies that will supply this area they have dreadful reviews (obviously the more disgruntled customers are likely to comment).
Does anyone have a good BB supplier that they'd recommend?0 -
Ok today was the start of a 2 week challenge I'm doing (I say challenge, but it's more of an experiment really). It consists of having no bread at all (not even brown) for those 2 weeks. It's a challenge for me because I literally live on bread, it fills me up and i don't have to eat as much stuff though i only have upto 8 pieces a day. I say it's an experiment, because I wanna see if lack of bread (hence lower carb intake) would create much of a difference in fat burning. I've already gotten rid of eating things like rice and pasta ages ago. I chose 2 weeks instead of 1, because 1 week isn't enough to judge. If it's much more better for me, then i'll probs stick with it. If not, then back to hovis nimble (only 48cals per piece
).
It's been okay today. I did have an ice cream cone though (180cals), but only because i haven't had a treat in quite a while. But now I've decided that whilst I'm on this 2 week experiment and also whilst I'm doing Insanity, I don't want to mess up my results by having unnecessary stuff, so I'm gonna stay away from any ice cream and just stick to my main meals. Still haven't went near any biscuits, cakes or crisps since october so that's a bonus. Gotta make sure i stay away from all 'bad' food the next couple of months too. Really want to get good results with Insanity, but that's not going to happen if I keep messing up my eating plan and having things i don't need but want. It hasn't happened often but just feel with this ice cream, i've let myself down.So I've promised to stay away from such unnecessary snacks and dessert.
Anyway, im not expecting a loss this wednesday, don't think my eating has been that great, so think i might even have a gain and if i do, then i at least know why. Day 22 done of Insanity though. That means about another 38days to go.0 -

I suspect you may know this but you can check out your exchanges provision here, it should give you upgrade dates as well

A lot depends on if you download "wink wink" a lot of data, If you don't then go BT, if you do avoid like the plague they are simply the worst ISP out there, they actively censor the web ... traffic and shape bandwidth and judicially apply contention ratios at peak time even when there is no peak demand ...
imo BE are simply the best, I have had them for about 4 years, zero shaping, filtering or contention. I always get max speed, and I download about 300gb a month with never a complaint out of them. There also small enough not to come under the digital millennium act. I would take BE at 2mb over BT at 8mb every day of the week.
