Just to confirm, are the red and blue identical except for colour, or is one superior in any way? Have ordered broth and want to know which to keep. Also, can only find the link for the incorrectly described blue one, the red is now discontinued. Did anyone have a screenshot?

    Thanks :)

I kept both. The blue one with the WD hard disk is marginally faster than the red one with the Toshiba disk. The windows experience scores are 5.5 & 5.3 respectively for data transfer rate. Probably not a lot in it and likely not too noticeable in use.

    Not seen any other differences.

Ooh thanks for this. Er..how do you get rid of them, just delete them?

and I have already activated the 60 day free trial of McAfee, can I just delete this or am I stuck with it until it expires. Sorry, so many questions. :o

Uninstall using the method stated by jaymac, then down load the removal tool and run that too. If you don't, you'll be left with bits of mcafee all over the place.

The link to the down load is halfway down the page.

Thanks Jo, just need to ring now and see if I get a goodwill gesture. ;)
  • You can use carp cleaner (free) to get rid of the carp too:

  • For any techies out there.....Why does the original advert describe this as 160gb and in my system it shows a max of 132gb. At least that's what my one says, anyone else?

For anyone who's interested, the number to ring is 01992 632222, shown wrongly before, but as has been posted it is manned over the weekend, security put you through and choose option 4. I had to bargain with my man, asked for £30 and got £25. Seems a bit arbitrary but I'm happy with that. Anyone still to try could ask for £35??

Many thanks to all for the fab information, I'm now going to try and follow the experts on here to set it up! Any recommendations for free antivirus? I picked up a nasty several months ago using antivir.
