  • the technician that i initially spoke to on a premium phone line of course! told me that i needed to replace a part (cant remember which) then when i started to question why this part had gone on a year old laptop, he said as a last resort i could do the restore bit.........he didnt hold out much hope etc etc but worked a treat!
would have been better if i could have got the advice a bit earlier on in the call! would have been cheaper!

fingers crossed it works for you!

On my laptop f2 can disconnect the wireless thing...as I discovered when I tried to connect to wifi on holiday. I wonder if f2 does the same on the netbook.

    A really daft question.....
Can you use a PAYG dongle with a netbook?
No dafter than asking if you can use one on a tablet PC. In fact while you can use it in any netbook I've come across, you can't use it in any tablet I've seen because the USB sockets are not of the standard size!

I bought this netbook when it was on sale at Tesco due to this thread and I love it. However I have a question, did it come with DVD/CD with install version of Windows? I cannot find the disc and I am worried if something goes wrong, I will not be able to reinstall Windows. I don't remember if there was no disc or I misplaced it somewhere.
Thanks a lot for your response!

There should be a recovery partition on the HDD, try pressing f9 at boot, if that doesn't work, check the manual.
