Has anyone got into trouble trying to get a refund on a BLUE one? I like money, but am too scared to try phoning!

I haven't opened the thing yet either, still debating whether I want one. Hubby wouldn't touch it with a bargepole :o (likes his memory and graphics cards...)

It's at £270 now. Wouldn't it be better ebaying it, rather than getting a refund?

They've never been £270 unless you were too silly not to check the prices out. Most places they were around £225 and you can get still get them for £180 still in many places.

£30 refund agreed and email confirmation received for my red netbook. They didn't even flinch when I asked for £30 so they must all know about it! Netbook for under £115 for DD's xmas! Thanks everyone :j:j:beer:

Is there a consensus on the best (MSE) place from where to order extra RAM. Also, apart from needing 2GB is there anything else a non-technie needs to know?

    Thanks

Just make sure you order laptop ram (200pin) and it must be DDR2.

I would download the manual unless it comes with a detailed one.

I just bought 2Mb RAM from Mr Memory. Very quick delivery and, because TESCO advertised my Compaq with 2 slots, when it only had 1, I exchanged the 1Mb I ordered for a 2Mb no problem and they even had a freepost sticker to return the RAM.

I can recommend this netbook cover / sleeve:

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B003FWNMDW/ref=ord_cart_shr?ie=UTF8&m=A1PGEGQVNWDYL2

received this afternoon and is a perfect fit for the Acer. :)

I bought a netbook cover from ebay last week which was a really snug ( very tight) fit but have used that for my smaller 8.9" Acer instead. :)

Make a note of your windows 7 serial at back of computer reason I say so is that I reinstalled someone's laptop at weekend and there serial number had rubbed off. Maybe take a picture from a camera
