I am another get weighed every day girl
but it does leave me with mixed feelings. Obviously I am always glad to see a loss and sometimes expect to see a gain when I've overeaten. The times it leaves me really disheartened is when I think I've been good and nothing's moved (been like that this week - been good all week but no loss so far ) Official weigh day will be Sunday Sometimes it's hard to walk in a single woman's shoes - that's why we need really special ones!Total debt @ Oct 2008: £29,226.42 Credit Card- £[STRIKE]7493.56[/STRIKE] - £7243.56Weightloss : 0/34lbs0 -
I also weigh daily, it's a habit of mine since I did Atkins 2 years ago. But I also think it spurs me on when I see that I am losing - it makes me feel good. I have lost 2lbs in 2 days which is normal for me. I have an incredibly fast metabolism until I hit 'the wall' (a longish period without weight loss) then I think most catch up with me!0

Hi all
I have been pretty bad today... ate a lot, and then went to my mum's after work so haven't been to the gym!!! But I will pick myself up again and get back into the saddle (so to speak). I am going to be so good this weekend, and do lots of resistance stuff (tricep dips, press ups, bicep curls, squats, bum raises etc).Pinkflamingo wrote: »Hi Everyone, can I please join you guys I only have a few pounds to lose (3) but now have a new man in my life and eating out to be sociable so losing 3 pounds will be like pushing an elephant up a hill
Only 3lbs, I envy you!
OK, I think we have established that MEN are the root of all weight gain... :rotfl:I do this too, but only first thing in the morning (after the loo and before the first cup of tea!)as the fluctuations within a day make it a real nonsense otherwise. I know it's not sensible re overall losses, but it does keep me focussed. Any silly self-destruct phases take place when I'm avoiding the scales and the damage that can be wreaked in a week can be quite . So on balance for me, an early morning daily weigh-in helps me stay focussed!
ETA I suppose that's the opposite of what you're saying though, if a pound on throws you off track! Why not put the scales away in the back of a wardrobe or on a high shelf and get them out once a week?
I never weighed myself when I was slim, well maybe once every 3-4 months. I went by my clothes and noted every little change, and worked to correct it. Then, when I started trying to lose weight, I got a bit obsessed and weighed every day. Now I have got it down to once a week and sometimes FORGET to WI!!! I think I might go back to weighing in every couple of days, it does tend to keep me on the straight and narrow. p.s. I always WI in the morning for consistency.

Had a quick WI this morning and I appear to have lost 4lb since Tuesday, I am putting that down to the stress of dealing with John Lewis and the faulty TV we have.
It's still 3 days til my official WI in though so enough time to undo all the good I've done this week:mad:

I'm pretty annoyed tbh, £900 for a TV that's faulty after 6 weeks and John Lewis won't do anything. On the upside I appear to have lost 4lb since Monday and I have JL to thank for that.0 -

Well done on the 4lbs!!! Don't slack now, think how good you'll feel at WI when you're still 4lbs down!

Good luck with the last 3lbs, I agree that it is the hardest but you have already climbed a mountain, you can do it.
Right, must have brekkie (I've been up for 2 hours but not really hungry yet).
