Children are a lifestyle choice and people should pay for it themselves. John Smith at work might want to go skiiing for 3 weeks or take a random trip to Ireland, which is his lifestyle choice but he sure as hell isn't going to get time of work for it, so why should Susie Jones get time off for her kids? Pure favouritism.
Except John Smith's "lifestyle choice" isn't going be paying the taxes and providing the labour the country needs in 30 years time to support its ageing population.0 -
therefore had to rely on benefits. So YES I WILL TAKE YES TAKE every damm penny due to me and my children all born here.
What's being born here got to do with anything? I have friends and relatives who came from abroad / have parents and /or partners who come from abroad. They all pay their taxes.

If someone is studying part time, the fees are assessed on household income and you can get a grant if that's low enough. You don't need any maintenance funding as you carry living on benefits and/or earnings..0 -

I am strong and can take stupid comments from stupid people but please remember this is a forum where people are here for support and advice and to also give support and advice to others to HELP them.
I suggest you "long standing members" (who have nothing better to do than dig into people) simply dont post unless your going to help someone !!! And god help us if you have reproduced !!
May I say thankyou to those who have stood up for me even though you dont know me,you clearly have the brains to see I was just seeking advice and decided not to judge me seeing as you dont know me.
Yes I am a stay ay home mum to 4 very wanted children. My husband works dam hard and his taxes also pay for layabouts that are not working, but hey who are we to judge !!! We have had our fair share of financial setbacks in the past and this is why we are not well off,im sure other people on here are in the same boat.
Not that I need to justify myself but we had 1 child and wanted 1 more,we had IVF and discovered we were expecting twins(a blessing),we were told by several medical proffesional that there was NO way we could conceive naturally so we are a little shocked when we were expecting our 4th.
I was going to call HM revenue anyway but just thought someone here may have had a similare experience and some advice, think I will just stick to calling them in future instead of coming on here to be bullied !!!!!

Have there been some deleted posts then? I've seen nowt prior to this rant which resembles bullying from long term posters or not.I ave a dodgy H, so sometimes I will sound dead common, on occasion dead stupid and rarely, pig ignorant. Sometimes I may be these things, but I will always blame it on my dodgy H.
Sorry, I'm a bit of a grumble weed today, no offence intended ... well it might be, but I'll be sorry.0 -

Oh yes...there has been a major deletion of posts over night...seems certain people like to dish it out but when others stand up to them they have to run to the board guides/mods !
Long term posters or not they need to realise that they have no special privilages on this board regardless of their post count !
The "rules" on this site state that peole can come on here for advice on benefits , not to get a bashing from people who are a but peeved that they had to raise their children in the days before tax credits etc.....
Was the introduction of tax credits and other help for young families our fault ? Did we ask the government to introduce tax credits and child benefit ? No , we didnt so if families are entitled to the extra help why shouldnt it be claimed ?
To the posters who are "angry" that they had to raise their children without "handouts" , im sorry for ya...im sure it was hard and all that (my own parents did it and tell me that at times it was a struggle) but is it really fair to take it out on the parents of today ?The loopy one has gone :j0 -
People should remember we our a consumer society ,with out people thats children that grow up ,a consumer society would colapse ,the wages are poor in this country the rents high .without govement help ,who would be having children not many.
But why are rents so high? Answer is house prices (HPI) have increased almost 300% in the last decade in some areas.
Until people realise that a house is a home, a place to live and not a profit making venture then house rents will fall dramatically.
The only way Government can increase its financial help to society is to increase taxes for everyone (especially the richer in Society)but the problem with that is its not sustainable .What we need to do is get people working, earning and all paying into the system so we can all benefit. We need to get our manufacturing base back up and running and real training schemes(not the lip service we have had for the past 2 decades).
The crux is House prices are far too high, this keeps rents high.
Its a sad fact that many in Society feel they are "entitled" to more and more, its a human instinct to want, its also a fact that many who receive £thousands in Tax credits etc feel they are entitled because they pay in but the fact remains that they are net receivers of benefits but seem to ignore this..0 -

There have been deletions but I doubt at the request of long term posters. I assumed that it was you or another newbie who had run crying to Abuse.0 -
