Been feeling ill this week which has meant less spending. Off to town now to get playstation 3 which son has saved up for and have lunch at pizza express with tesco vouchers which ive just found...

  • A lot of us seem to be struggling right now.
I'm doing OK grocery-wise. It's clothes that are proving my achilles heel this month.
And having just survived OFSTED this week I splashed out on a kindle.
    Oh dear.
    Temptation is at every door.
Thank goodness I'm out babysitting tonight - provided I don't take my kindle, there'll be no way of me spending any money tonight!

  • Oh no - I have just discovered the home-made stock that I made last Sunday night from the turkey that we had, still in the fridge! I try sometimes to be OS but am often too forgetful or disorganised to carry it through! I presume that it is now too old to make into soup is it?

  • :grouphug::grouphug:To HIPPEECHIQ and MOTHER SHIPand anyone else who needs one!

Spent £9.25 yesterday on some bits for our night in but barely need anything for weekly shop this week. Looking like we may come in on budget for this month and I am a little excited about that! (small things) off for a nice free bike ride with the kids this afternoon and have a flask of hot chocolate to take with a separate pot of sprinkles. Normally we would have bought these out at £10-£15 for all of us. actually makes me want to cry when I think of this!!!!!

Good luck to all who have Ofsted in!
Had an observation last week so treating myself to large bar of chocolate which I am sharing with OH. Still have the main shop to do but had quick top up shop for OJ lettuce and pizza which need to get the reciept for. Going to treat us to the £20 deal for Valetines at M&S so may live out of the freezer for the rest of the week.
Hugs to those that need them.

No spend day today, a lot of walking. Nearly bought an ice cream but resisted, I had some chocolate yesterday so that is my treat for this week. :D

Ugh - more spends today of £15 odd bringing new total to £121.45...almost ½ my budget in 12 days :o

Mothership I really think you should go and see your GP hun.
I've also started "losing" time. But for me it's 30 minutes here or 45 to an hour there. I've no idea what happens during that time, but it has been happening quite often since around October, and I have no doubt it's because I'm under so much stress all the time, with no let up - and it sounds to me like you're in a similar(ish) situation.

I may be totally wrong, but my feeling is that it's my body's way of coping when I'm in overload, and my mind just switches off for a bit for self preservation.

It does bother me, and I've discussed it with my GP. She thinks I'm depressed (apparently, losing time is a classic sign of depression) I think I'm simply exhausted, physically and mentally, but yes, I'm taking a little something at night to help me "switch off" just enough to stop my mind racing when I need to be sleeping, but not too much so that I can't come round instantly if I need to.

Without that little bit of "help" I think I would have gone under by now. Even if you just see your GP to offload? There's no shame in asking for help when you have such a burden to carry hun :kisses3:
