Came down to have a wee look through the recipe's to see if I could find a nice one for bread. Not made bread for years (used to do it all the time) till I stuffed my (proving place full of groceries). Then I read on here that someone puts a plastic shower cap over the bowl to prove the bread, I got loads of those (I do B&B they don't get used much, about 4 in 9 yrs).
Over the radiator in the kitchen would be a great place for proving, if I put the covered bowl in a bag and hang it there, it should work.

If anyone wants a disposable shower cap to try it PM me and I will send you some. I helped with a mail shot recently and got loads of stamps left over as a reward.
i have a very simple bread recipe if you would like it.

HI everyone .. well popped to the C*_*p today for bread, milk and grapes and came out with .....bread,milk and grapes :D VERY proud of myself.

And I'm very proud of you too!! I almost never do that!

NSD's for the past 2 days. Even though I meal planned, I didn't have what was on todays plan :rotfl:

So I'm on Thursday really! Still, it used up some leftovers so it's all very GC. Went on to MySupermarket for the first time last night. Almost as tempting as going in to a real life shop. My basket ended up at £30. With a £50 budget, and not even in Feb yet, this is not good. So I didn't go near a shop. Although one of the offers was Lenor Sleep Sensations @ £2 in Mr T (I think it's normally £3??) It's one of my treats if you like. That & proper coffee. Everything else, I'll buy whatevers on offer / cheapest. But a girls gotta have some treats. I might stock up on them anyway.
My name is CherryPie and I'm addicted to grocery shopping!!

In the mean time does anyone make meatballs with pork sausage meat ?( quite like the idea but dont want to bawls it up lol!)..thanks to a super sainsbugs sale I have four or five packets of the stuff rolling around in my freezer , and apart from sausage rolls I am drawing a blank on what to use it for- (but couldnt resist the 30-odd pence price tag at the time:o)
I would be very grateful for any cheap and cheerful suggestions;) Thanks.

Yes! please... My efforts are dangling on a knob in a bag above the cooker lol, its been there for just over an hour, I've kept the oven on a wee peep so the heat wafts up, fingers crossed I remembered how to do it. My kitchen smells like my granny's :T:T:T I'm da granny noo!

Boiled a gammon joint and made a lovely pot of lentil soup with carrot ,turnip, leek, totties and a parsnip I found in the fridge don't know how long it has been in the fridge, it was in perfect condition so in it went, then finished it off with parsley. Nom nom nom. My little GD will be having some for lunch tomorrow.
Had fish and chips for dinner and a lovely HM scone. Need to post the recipe it was one of my experiments that worked (Still laughing at the marmalade ).

Love the sound of Mrs Macawbers Chicken & sweet corn soup, need to try that.

Thank you for all your kind thoughts, they are greatly appreciated.

I learnt how to make sausage plait at school. Actually quite nice! You get some ready made puff pastry (or make your own but that's hassle!), roll it into a rectangle. Mentally divide it into 3 strips and put the sausagemeat (mixed with herbs/garlic/onion/stuff) down the centre third. Then you slice the other thirds diagonally downwards from the sausagemeat to the edge, then "plait" it! Cook it til it's done. It tastes really nice, and goes with baked beans and chips for a pig out, or salad, or whatever!!
