Count me in again, having just posted my apalling figures on the January thread I need a good kick up the bum to get me going. Put me down for £200 for the month, as realistically that is all we have, my freezer is full to burst, just been lacking in the willpower department, but that is no longer the case, my job is looking vulnerable which I can't control, but I can control my food spends. Good luck everyone.I'm not a failure if I don't make it, I'm a success because I :tried!0

Hi guys,
grocery order arrived yesterday, about £38 (no del documents so it's hard to tell) I will update properly when cc statement shows.
I dont do a second purse...I put my budget onto the cc every month 9(on top of the gift budget and the cc snowball) and take that (encourages me not to buy little things when I am passing) I get the extra points and don't pay interest just now anyway.
I am already 2 weeks into the challenge for this month but only have £50 left. I have been using my original budget though and not really catering for the fact that we are taking lunches now and will therefore need more shopping money. we will se how this month goes, shouldnt be too out of budget!

hello and welcome to our newbies :hello: Weezl, its good to see you here, I often direct people to your thread or your website :T
big hugs to all who are coping with illness or worries of any kind
I've decided not to do the second purse thing too, I'm pretty much set in my own system which seems to work for me. I do think the second purse is a good idea though, and worth a try for anyone getting to grips with their spends
My DS has lent me his panasonic bm so will be playing with that this week; been sorting through my bread recipes and found Dan Lepard's soft white bap recipe which I used to make; they're the best rolls I've EVER made and although the recipes seems fiddly it's quite easy once you get the timing sorted in your head
forgot to say l.m.hart that I've put your white bread recipe in the index, and will also add the soft white bap recipe... don't throw the string away. You always need string!

How many pages? It's only the first of Feb.
Grateful if Mrs M could put £150 next to my annual target as this is my target for Feb
I did buy milk yesterday which officially came out of Feb's money, coz it was payday, but I'm starting afresh today.

Target for february--220gbp- i wondered where everyone had gone!! i thought January's challenge was quiet!!!
İ am keeping this month at the same total as last month because i think we had a good balance last month--i include all takeaways and meals out in my target so cant be too mean!mfw'11 No68- 55k mortgage İO--little to nothing saved! i must do better.0 -
well I have posted on the other thread. counting for £175 this month, as I was so far out last month.
My Mr A. Delivery is due today. The first main supermarket shop since September last year. When I unsuccessfully tried to empty my cupboards. But still have masses of bits, but not a complete meal!. So February I will have to try a lot harder and be more realistic!.

All seems to be going well so far - had 3 NSD!!! :T
we are sticking to the menu plan and working our way through the stock... cant believe we havent done a 'big shop' since 3rd Dec?! not sure if this is good or bad as it probably means weve been spending more by going to the local shops all the time. Still, OH is being very supportive and likes the menu plan idea so that makes me happy.
Going to buy some sausage meat and puff pastry tonight so i can make sausage rolls and apple turnovers for lunches. Have also got a tin of condensed milk for gingerbread men which only uses half a tin - but instead of wasting half i will do a double batch and freeze half so they dont go soggy. will they freeze ok?
i am lucky because our back kitchen (which houses the cooker) is so cold in the winter that it acts as a freezer so all veg, etc, lasts so much longer. only problem is the pipes freeze easily and the walls get condensation/mould. cant wait til i win the lottery and can buy a house..... or maybe after we get married in oct, the money i save from GC can go in the savings account!! atm the money under from my budget will go in the savings.... hmmm.... i see a plan hatching.
Good luck everyone for Feb and thank you so much for all the support and tips and recipes!! :ADFBX2016 #160 - £3550/£8800
