Banned from Black Ops - Help!

I totally undertstand people not wanting to play with cheats, neither would I as it does spoil any game. I lost count the amount of times the board game went up in the air in my household as a child where someone cheated!
I had just asked a genuine question and had not really expected some of the replies. I am not defending my son but innocent until proven guilty spring to mind. If he has messed up then it will be his loss not mine and he know that.

All I am going to say is GOOD!

1) Cheaters deserve to get BANNED, by your own admission you know nothing about the games/consoles so how do you know if he has cheated?

1a) how about you learn something about what your son is doing online? You dont need a BSc in computing to be able to learn something about them.

2) This game is NOT for children, I am all for letting kids play games and what not, but by the sounds if it your child is just that.....a child and has no right to play the game in the first place.

3) People like your child RUIN online gaming!! this is obviously a cheater being caught and as a former server admin for the CoD series of games then I love this! I hated the cheaters and loved it when I banned them.

He is obviously not telling you the truth and he DID cheat......go into his room and get him to show you the error that comes up? get a friend of yours who knows more about games etc to have a look to verify he HAS been cheating!


DONT buy him another console/game, he will just cheat again. This forum is all about saving money, so heres a tip - Dont buy cheaters games, that will save you a lot over the years

The "odd laws" thing is becoming a persistent urban legend.

Most of them are that thing most beloved of MSE-ers, loopholes, from a time when law was made to control the plebs and little or no consideration was given to the finer details. Add to this the fact that laws don't need to be repealed - they can simply be superceded by new legislation - and you end up with received wisdom such as the Scotsman in York scenario.

The local law concerned armed strangers within the city walls; it dates from the time of the Jacobite uprisings, hence the modern association with Scots, even though there were plenty of Jacobites south of the border.

Just because it was never officially repealed doesn't make the city or York exempt from all the murder laws which have been introduced since.

A more modern example of a similar "quirk" is that, technically, you should still be making hand signals, even if you have indicators on your car. That's why they're still in the highway code.

Kiwicrazy, I was in the process of replying to each of your comments but after 18 years of parenting I have no intention of questioning my choices/decisions with you or anyone else. I would be very surprised to find that you had children!
On a last note with this thread, I have been fortunate enough to have a good relationship with my children, please DO NOT call my child a liar/cheat when you do not even know him.

I also play Black Ops (xbox 360) and users have been complaining they have been banned for no reason as well.

Is it possible he connected to a 'boosting lobby' by mistake (where someone is hosting a hacked game in order to get increased points)

Anyway, if you are convinced the ban is through no fault of his own, my first point of contact wouldbe with the game makers (Treyarch) themselves. They are the only ones who will be able to tell you exactly why he has been banned and if there is any chance of you getting it overturned.

If he's innocent then I hope they reverse it for you. If he has cheated then he deserves the ban.

i also fined it good and feels good when you ban them,
its realy funny when perents come on vent to fined out why we have banned them ,its usually takes a few minutes for a mod to ban them off vent to after hes got off the floor laughing

Yes I do have a child and if my child had such an interest then I would take more of a pro-active look with things.

You obviously need to do more.

If you cheat on this game does it stop your whole ps3 from working on any game...?

If it did i would make sure not to do it,i have never played this game but i do understand that this format of game is very popular,i also understand that the game makers are only trying to make it a fair playing field and are cutting out the cheaters so that the non cheaters can benefit from the full game.

As for Racist comments....Good grief get a life please! never told a joke that began with..An Englishman,an Irishman,and a Scottishman ? Oh and its nearly always the Irishman thats made out to be a fool.
