Just got a call from these people 'you might have heard in the news yesterday about payment protection insurance', and she wanted to know what credit cards I'd got and said they'd get back late payment fees, everythng. I said I had to go to pick my son up and could she give me a number to call back, but she wasn't keen and sad she'd call me back at 6pm.
Looks lke this lot.

Hi there
Thanks for posting this and making people aware.
And as you may know you can make a reclaim all free, also with help from this site, without the need of using any claims company, its actually not that difficult and just a matter of having your reasons to make a reclaim and completing the reclaiming questionnaire, where you pursue the ones who sold and set up the policy.

...and said they'd get back late payment fees, ...
... and there's a very informative MSE guide that explains how to do that yourself for free too

In fact, I hear its so good, many of these reclaims companies follow it themselves.
Any questions over this particular aspect, please post over on the reclaiming bank and credit card charges board.

Just had a call from these, A+ for persistence, didn't get them anywhere though'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher0

I have just got a new sim card with a new number and rec'd a call from this lot on day 1! Don't think they are using any official lists!0

Yes more than mildly concerned that they caught me at a tired moment and I gave them lots of details before I had the 'hang on how do they really have my number' moment... Is there any major cause for concern with this crowd? I'm mad how much personal info I gave away :-\0

HYC just rang me on my mobile and when I asked where they got my number from they hung up. Who is selling mobile numbers to them? I don't give my mobile number to anyone.

Had this crowd call me several times. Each time I answered the line went dead. After the 5th time I called the number back to see who was so desperate to contact me and spoke with a rather rude gent called Steve who insisted that they do not cold call. I informed him that I hit redial on my mobile as they had called me. I ended up putting the phone down on him as he was becoming aggressive.0

I used to work for this company so firstly let me just say sorry to all the people out there that I have previously called up. It's a job at the end of the day and I desperately needed one. We all have bills to pay.
I have to say everything they do is legit (unfortunately). They are regulated by the ministry of justice. So you can't really stop them from calling you unless you specifically request to have your number taken off the call list. And i do mean SPECIFICALLY...if you hang up or say you are not interested they can still call you back as many times as they wish.
The rates they charge are extortionate. 30% + VAT= 36% total.
That's for filling out a few forms and sending them to the bank for you. Something which would take you 10 mins to do yourself. It is not as hard as everyone thinks.
Also anyone who is looking to work for this company. All I can say is DON'T. You will work extremely long hours to meet your target average 55 hour weeks for £18,000. Bonus structure is !!!!. so don't be expecting any where near the sort of money they tell you you could earn. I was earning the company my yearly wage every 2 weeks and I would get about £100 bonus per week.0 -
Peter Anwar is supposed to be the director of this poorly trained tele sales company I am 18 years old and after countless calls I try and explain to them that I want to be removed from there database and every time they say they have I get a call a few hours later from the same company with the same script they read off of. I've come to know this shabby company so well I even know how many staff they have at this time (85) to be exact they use a cheap office address which is based in Manchester I have there number and address(86 deans gate M3 2ER) saved on my mobile. I am sick of these ppi calls and a guy there claimed to be the manager his name or so I believe to be his name is Graham Williamson and he tried to explain to me that the company is FSA regulated which it is not! And any non educated person would believe to be true. And instead gave me a useless CRM number CRM20438 which does nothing for the company as it is nothing more than a objection handling tool used to buy them more time to help them make you believe that they are legitimate. When even there own staff are made to believe that they are but instead this is nothing more than brainwashing for them and that is why they will always try so hard to argue there non existent point which will always boil down to a cold call which they will make financial gains from something which can be done inside your own living room. There company and staff are extremely unprofessional and non educated on there own products that they offer DISGUSTING!!!0

They're still at it, and when you challenge them they make up all kinds of rubbish to justify themselves.
Got a call from 0161 8505451 today, on my new mobile, which has been provided by my work so the only people I've given the number to are colleagues and other work contacts, and I certainly haven't given my new mobile number as my contact number on any internet forms etc.
When I ignored the caller's spiel about PPI and pointed out the above, I was told my number is on a database of people who might be interested. I asked how this could be, since she was calling me on a new phone etc. She didn't seem to understand the question, so she put me through to a "supervisor" who identified himself as Gary. He said the number wasn't on any kind of list, but had been arrived at by a random number generator!
When I said he should be referencing the TPS rather than calling random numbers, he claimed they did do so, and changed his mind about his mysterious random number generator.
It seems to me they're making it up as they go along, and they seem to be very wary about admitting that new mobile numbers are being passed to them by, in my case, Orange.0
