I'm annoyed this has happened as I want to buy a non lit one for mines and need it pretty soon but they don't sell them anymore and I really don't want to pay £51 for the lighted one when I can just put the light on to read.

Wonder if they'l even make new non light covers or if they'l just keep them as they are.

I've already had to have a replacement Kindle because of screen damage and I only got it at Christmas!
The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.
  • I bought a lighted cover at full price and have been very happy with it. The fact that some people are now getting one for less money makes no difference to me or my satisfaction with the case.

I won't be asking for a refund of the difference, I'm just pleased that others are getting sorted and can now properly enjoy their Kindles.

Not sure why some people need to try and turn every situation to a personal advantage to be honest.

I had an email from Currys yesterday - advertising the Kindle and the (non-lit) covers. No idea if the covers would be the same as the ones causing problems or not though.
  • I got the non lit one at Currys, and have had no issues with it so far. The only moan I have about it is that they only have it in black. But my priority was protecting my Kindle, so black will have to do!

What did they say to you? I have have just got an email not mentioning a refund but just saying to phone up and they will try to troubleshoot it. It doesn't freeze all the time just intermittently so how can they troubleshoot it?

That happened to me so I rang them on Sunday and was asked to leave the Kindle out of the cover for 24 hours and they would ring me back Monday evening. When they did ring back I explained the device seemed to be working properly out of the case and they promptly arranged a refund of £29.99 and credit for £21. :T
