Well they have removed the non-lighted from sale.0

from my understanding the clips look like plastic but they were actually metal....coated with plasticNo two ways about this one: Anything Free is not a Basic Right..it had to be earned...by someone, somewhere0

Glad they've removed it from sale!
I don't get why on earth someone who originally bought a lighted cover at full price is now complaining and wanting a refund though!People have had refunds due to faults with the non-lighted cases and anyone who buys a case now will have to pay for a lighted one.If you've had no technical issues with a lighted one what is the problem?!?!If women are birds and freedom is flight are trapped women Dodos?0 -
The problem is that I paid £50 for something that people are getting given to them for just £30. As I said previously, if I don't ask, I don't get.Illegitimi non carborundum.0

I emailed Amazon and then had to ring them but was refunded for the cover and given a credit. I bought my cover at the beginning of November and my Kindle has only ever frozen once but they were lovely on the phone.0

Had exact problem this morning. Called up and got the refund + credit.
Thanks OP!
Respect to Amazon - courteous customer service, no messing around and they just did the right thing.Any advice given is done so purely on the basis that it be taken as guidance and not a definitive answer to a question. Same here. Swift reply to email sent at weekend. £32 Credit back on credit card and £21 credit voucher on Amazon. And no need to return old cover.
Top Customer Service Amazon, :-)`Save a little money each month, and at the end of the year, you'll be suprised at how little you have.0 -

This is exactly happened to me but when I e-mailed them they offered to replace my Kindle! (don't want to because of all the hassle/books stored on it etc).
There was a number to call if I wasn't happy with the response so I may call them & see if I can get the new cover as I am a bit worried about if it will start to freeze been left in the cover.0
