    Hi DFW

Hope DS got back to school ok and you've managed to get abit of relaxation time xxx
  • Hi Skint, Choo & pretty Paula  thanks for reading all the way through , paula  ...i'll apologise now, I like to ramble on and on about pretty much nothing. Oh and i constantly repeat myself (probably in these posts as well as real life) because I have an awful memory :D so sorry if you read something 2 or 3 times :rotfl:

DS1 is back at school, we had a little chat on the way back as he's been picking on dd a lot this holiday. WELL i say picking on, i mean constantly winding her up ....to the point i couldn't wait for her to go back to nursery and him to go back to school :o

I left dh here at the weekend (well sunday) whilst i went to drop ds off and we stayed over at mums yesterday so i could help my sister with her budget & debt problems :wall::wall::wall: I can now see why mum said ' oh yes, you come help, she's not listening to me, and anyway you always do it better' .......ah-ha nothing like greasing up an idiot  her son has adhd, autism and hyperactivity. well he played up yesterday and had the day off school, and i swear she is just as bad as him. She does NOT sit still EVER for more than 3 mins (aye, i timed her) and I was trying to explain to her the theory of getting a new bank account, changing dd's to it etc etc and closing down old bank so it was classed as a debt. hmph i gave up about 4 hours in ( i did try) and i wrote her a to-do list i.e 1) open new basic account. 2) transfer direct debits 3) get all income into new bank etc etc etc whether or not she will actually do this remains to be seen:doh: but omg i was stressing when i came out of her house. No wonder she smokes (£180 a month on fags - told her this had to go, she laughed and said she couldn't cope without them. hmm)

Anyway today is my first NSD of the month! I am miserably behind on where i should be!! I think we've blown the entertainment budget already :o...although i've only spent £70 on petrol~! Whilst stuck in traffic yesterday i found a fiddly switch thing in the car and if you twist it round it tells you how many miles per gallon you are doing at that very moment  how clever :rotfl: so I found that driving in 5th gear, at 58mph was the best way to maximise petrol :rotfl:I only used 3/4 of a tank to go aruond 300 odd miles :jand still have enough (i hope) to get me to shops and back this week!

Have sold some more bits on ebay :j and will post those off tomorrow now as can't be bothered to pack it at the moment :p i've also de-cluttered 3 bags of stuff that i would have only got 99p for each thing (if i was lucky) and gave it to my sister her kids were thrilled at the new toys/ teddies and it made me go all warm and fuzzy inside :smileyhea

As usual, ds1 had forgotten 20 things. even after i said, have you got your calculator, yes mum. have you got spare ink cartridges, yes mum.....blooming kids!!

so have to pack him a parcel up and post that also tomorrow ...have been rounding down in my bank all week sometimes pennies, sometimes a few quid and putting to emergency and f&f funds :T

My heating is still OFF :T DH thinks i'm barmy now with all this money saving. :rotfl: i tell him that's what i bought hot water bottles, thick socks jumpers for :rotfl:

I'm still waiting to hear if i have monies due to me from rental income  that letting agent is starting to get right on my wick! they are useless. it's a good job they are the only letting agents that cover my area really or they'd be out of a job!

Ok anyway, i have tonnes of housework to get on with so suppose i best go (and cup of tea ran out too!) dh did no housework on his day in the house alone. He played x-box all !!!!!!!g day  men! grr!

have a great day all :D

:xmastree: (had to put this in, it's getting cold out now so is reminding me xmas is round the corner, wahey!)

    £130 left on petrol allowance
    £100 on grocery

£XX Need to check this too!
£0 Mobile allowance but we are all topped up till december now
    £10 pocket money left :o!

Am thinking heating will have to go on sooner rather than later, but will put on for a few hours in morning then a few hours before kids bedtime........if i can work out the timer thingy majig (not my strong point, boilers?!)

Have got xmas pressies for all i think but must check and make sure i haven't forgotten anyone!!!

Will start wrapping them all so i don't have to do it in december :T And will start on xmas cards too soon

Oh and this reminds me i have to send dd in with a check for her nursery pics, am going to get one on a disc for £25  of the two little ones. Tis a lot but i thought then i can get cheap copies for all for xmas (i.e grandparents etc) so need to choose best one still and write a cheque!

Have £115 in my bank still so after that £25 is accounted for that is £95. Need lots of nsd this month now so that i can save some money into different pots that need topping up :) ok enough from me again. need to put another wash on! :D

  • Morning fellow dfw's!

Well today i need to go shopping so sadly not a nsd for me. I have vouchers to use in asda so want to go there. But i am struggling to find things to put on the list to make it up to the £40 i need to get a fiver off :rotfl: so i think i may start on the xmas food shop and get in some baileys :D and other bits.

DS2 & DD spent all night in my bed and theirs....was a bit like a game of musical beds. so i am shattered. surely by 2 years old and 3 years old they should be sleeping through the night.

Went on body shop this morning and ordered last of pressies for everyone as there was an offer of £20 off if you spend £40 and i needed my moisturiser from them too. Well got to till and couldn't see anywhere to put code. so clicked through to next page expecting it to be there and NO 'Thank you for your payment. Your order will be processed soon' !!!!!! so i have just spent £45 on stuff that i didn't really want for that price  their customer service centre doesn't open until 9am but when it does i will have to ring up and see if i can either get a partial refund for the offer or a full refund on the stuff i don't now want :( why can't anything be simple!!!!

Also need to hand in school photos this week and pay by friday. DH & I have decided on 2 photos which comes to £50. So expensive but they are really nice :(.

Have sent emails to letting agency and awaiting news on what date each month i should be paid (thinking it will be the first of each month which will tie in well with all the bills) when i have that info i need to call the cccs to update situation and budget and they will more than likely want to take all my extra income for debt. I'm going to ask them how much i can keep to save though as really want to start making f&f's soon to get these debts down.

The clothes I put to dry on the clothes horse yesterday are still damp. I wish the tumble drier was free to run :rotfl:

The heating is set to go on from now on for several hours a day. the little ones have colds so i couldn't keep it off any longer. If it were just me i'd be ok as not found it too cold yet but can't be a cruel mummy lol. I just hope i've worked out the timer properly. we shall soon find out at around 5pm :rotfl: we checked the heating yesterday to make sure boiler still working fine and the pressure was too low but dh sorted it out so it's at 2.5 now :T. all the radiators seemed to work i think but we only had it on for half hour to check so will need to double check them all today when it goes on for real :T so i managed to make it to week 2 in November without heating :j this is a record for me :rotfl:

    Today's jobs:
    • Call body shop () have a rant.
    • Go to aSda get shop in
    • Drop off / pick up dd on time today (was late yesterday for both dropping her off and picking her up :o)
    • check surveys i am waiting for 2 pending rewards to go to completed as i am 75p away from payout  and have been for 2 weeks now!
    • make some sort of yummy dinner, thinking shepherd pie today as easy and relatively quick!
    • chill out. I'm shattered.
    • post ebay item
so best get off and get everyone up and dressed for the day!

    dfw :)
