  • ooooooooooohGeeezuzchrissssssssssssstt My kids are driving me insane this afternoon/evening. I actually think I would get more peace if i committed myself to the local nuthouse :wall::wall: Roll on bedtime! And as I am being so good with money I have not a drop of wine in the house _pale_, nor any money to buy any with :( bad times!

In actual money news: I called my bank earlier and after being passed around to a zillion different departments (ok 3, but still..) and people. Finally found out my local branch has a coin counting machine so i don't need to lose a % to one in a supermarket like the one at asda :T so went down there today, let kids run riot, (yup i'm one of those mums that just pretends she doesn't have kids and lets them press all the buttons on the machines and fight on the welcome mat:whistle:) and I now have £40.04 towards my f&f fund :T so i now have about £90 i think yay!

Also received an email from letting agents dealing with house, a lady was all ready to take it on without even looking at it, but however she now won't touch the house because i am not taking the full management service on. So would I please reconsider. Well i sent a delightful email back saying of course :D anything to please my tenants. The rent however will be what it is plus the fees for the management company. And if she wasn't happy with that i suggest she look elsewhere :o me thinks i need to stop writing hastily written messages when kids are stressing me out :D

Also got on to them about money owing to me. They like to keep my money for as long as possible you see. Once it was 2 months before i got any. Lord knows why i stayed with them so long. Anyway i've sent 4 emails practically the same. I knew one of them would answer eventually :D and i am owed money. Not sure how much though, but she is looking into it on monday. WHY she hasn't already looked into it after all my emails already sent  I do not know!

Right at this moment I'm hoping a tenant is walking round my humble abode saying. wow. great. i'll take it. I'll have a long term lease, how about 5 years. Oh and i'll pay up front.:whistle: wouldn't that be fabbyrooney!!! Anyhow bedtime dawns :j and Dora and her backpack (my babysitter) are about to finish!!! best go do milk & water for bed :A

  • It sounds as though it is going to be good news on the tenant's front. :D

Definitely good news about the loose change and also no percentage to pay to a machine. :)

As you mention a free ebay listing week-end.

I know what you mean about buyers complaining. We've just sent something out new with tags saying it is a size 14. They now want to return it because they say it is more like a small 12.
What do they want? We go by what the label says.

Enjoy your week-end and I hope you get a little time to yourself to relax. At least with our children they are in their teens and extremely well behaved. :) Although I do remember their young days.

  • It's annoying isn't it Bonnington :( makes me so angry, it sold for 99p cost us near to £30 new. Is a baby size so didn't fit ds2 for long so hardly worn ...course it looked like it had been worn it had been washed, but i stated that in listing and they still left that on my feedback. urgh, i clearly wasn't born to be an ebayqueen huh lol i can't wait until i can stop using it! :D

No news about tenants yet but I doubt i'll hear now until monday. I think i've negotiated someone to do my schedule of condition. It's not hard just a little time consuming. BUT should be pretty easy I should think as the place has just had a facelift so nothing should be wrong with it (i hope!)

I've no idea what time dh is home so until he is back i won't get any peace lol. I've already fed kids, done one load of dishwasher & bread has been rising an hour so far. It's really foggy outside so I don't fancy going out in that (i become a bit like a hamster in winter, hibernate inside all wrapped up warm and mouth full of food :D )

Really happy about that bank machine though it means I can empty my change jar whenever I feel like it now and it credits to my account the same day so i can then transfer straight to savings! I think I should def have enough in there come Jan to start making some offers to catalogues at least which will then free up more money to pay the larger creditors each month.

Today I'm going to try and list a few things on ebay. Then make a shopping list for monday. I had free delivery but i've left it too late i think to get a free slot for monday now....I am waiting for £12 worth of tesco clubcard vouchers in the post. I will then wait until the double up promotion and get some p.j's for both sons for xmas eve hamper (already have some for dd) and if i have enough left something for dh...This is my first year of doing a xmas eve hamper so not sure what to put in exactly. Think I will make some snowman soups, p.j's in there, a new dvd, some food for rudolph & santa & some snacks for the film...if anyone else can think of anything let me know :) !

I feel like my luck is about to change for the better so i hope i'm right! this last month we've had one financial thing after another and our savings pots are practically empty so i feel like it's about to turn now and something might actually go our way....we shall see though ;)

Hope everyone has a good day :)

  • Morning all, November has arrived!

And I have yet to put the heating on this autumn/winter :T

Yesterday was payday, we already have only around £100 left in the bank ! Bills are paid though, I have enough meat, toiletries, etc for the month, and cash has been withdrawn for petrol, pocket money, entertainment, mobile top ups & whatever was left on the food budget!

Took the kids trick or treating last night and had great fun, am exhausted now though lol.

Have opened another savings account this morning and transferred £50 into it to cover motoring costs, i.e AA/RAC subscriptions, MOT, Service. I hope this is enough to cover it but guess will soon find out! I've also directed the car insurance savings into this account now so all the car stuff is together.

Sky DD has at last gone down to £22 :j
Phone bill is also down :j
Electric dd still at £77  i am thinking they have put it up to this because we owe them money (£200 ish i think) so i guess i should leave it as it is really and pay them off

Need to set myself some targets for this month yet and see where i am with targets for last month so will go fill inthe spreadsheet and be back with some positive goals :A (one new target is to regularly fill in spreadsheet!!!)

  • Oh and forgot to say have had two offers on my house one wants the house for a £45 rent reduction each month....OR i put in washing machine & fridge freezer and she will pay full amount. AND another one of me taking the management back on and she will take the tenancy on. But i then lose £140+ each month to pay the useless management agency :( so am holding out as there is another viewing today, also was one on friday haven't yet heard from if they are no-goes i will take on the £45 reduction one ..............! Why can't anything be simple!

Sounds like it has been all go. Great news on the house. Even if you take the reduction of £45 at least you will be getting some money in. Also great news that you actually have money in your account after all bills and food in the cupboards. I will get to this point soon :)

We went trick or treating too for the first time and had a great time - i must keep my hands off their sweets!

Would you consider doing another NSD challenge? I did much better when i had someone to have a challenge with.

    Have a great day :)

I steer clear of ebay as much as possible I used to get some strange requests lol

Hope you get some decent tennants in soon x

    :j:j:j October make £10 a day challenge :j:j:j
    £155/£310
  • ooh yes definately slm, although i haven't got off them mark with no.1 even yet lol! I'm not sure how much money we have left for the month as i forgot (as i do) a cheque and a bill due out! drat!

    So for October:
    Grocery Budget, 254.57/240 :(
    NSD 14/13..........:j V.V happy with this :T
Make £5 a day challenge, £131.79/155- not bad for a 1st attempt lol

    November's TARGET:
    15 NSD: 0/15
Grocery Challenge: /£250 (not quite ready to put it down I don't think :rotfl:...still better than it was)
    Make £5 a day challenge: 0/150
P.A.D (f&f acc): 0/30 (not really sure what target to set myself here so will just aim for at least £1 a day for the month.

have paid £50 into the emergency funds this month so that is off the ground again :o!

Still waiting to hear about prospective tenants, I don't want to leave it too long otherwise the offers I already received may not be on the table still!

Need to check my ebay but not holding out much hope of sales there! Have made a decision. Whatever I have left to sell come xmas I am donating to charity. I want a nice de-cluttered house for new year and to be perfectly honest I don't have tonnes of gucci, or in fact any other designer real or fake so my stuff is not worth tonnes, and for all the stress it makes me, i've decided to spend that time elsewhere doing other things :D I will keep re-listing what i have on there for now and if it sells, great. If not. well it was meant to go to charity in my eyes :)

Can't wait for saturday and my first meditation session, i'm sooooo excited and nervous too as i think i am the only person in the class

DH & I have de-cluttered the living room too. We've boxed most of our books -that the kids see as climbing apparatus- and put them in the loft ....we've packed up 2 big boxes of toys that we think the kids are a little too small for at the mo and put them in the garage- didn't want to throw them away as they were new for their birthday in july but they are constantly throwing them around. SO are obviously too small at the mo for them, so they can have them next year :D. Maybe.

Out of my grocery budget I have already spent £155.37. I got enough meat for the month i hope, 24 loo rolls, 12 bottles of bleach, 6 bottles of ibuprofen (bargain was £7.50 for them all) for the kids, margarine, flour, squash and the rest was enough for the week if not more. So am hoping the other £100 i have left will last me the month now

I also bought myself some cheap weighing scales, really need to lose some weight still!!! And got a clothes airer to try and save on tumble drier expenses!

Really need to get onto the letting agency to get feedback from them and will go with other tenants if no more positive news on the house! £500 is better than nothing! (even if i have just spent a grand doing it up )

ANywho time for tea & cake and more cleaning!

Ooh just seen this, thanks for popping by happy :) My new moto is , if it doesn't sell give it to charity. it really isn't worth the hassle for 99p or even £2 when bidders really get into a last minute frenzy :rotfl: so will stick it on once and then it's gone after that as can't be as$ed!

Me too on the tenants front.....:A
