ARGH  just tried to reply and it deleted my whole message!!!
Well no debt-busting for me today, but i have found a few bits whilst spring-cleaning the kitchen that i can sell. And i now have more space in my cupboards for food! I can't believe i had 2 whole cupboards of junkand one drawer too (and i only have 4 drawers in the whole kitchen lol)
Little uns are both ill have a very nasty cough & temperature so doubt i won't be getting much sleep tonight with them...but this will put me off going into town tomorrow if i am tired...so can just make a quick trip to te$co or a$da ...my darling son broke my iron good and proper today  and my kitchen scales just packed up as well, have been dodgy for a while now but just completely had it today! Ah well. Think i may take the money from the food budget as i have quite a bit left there ....otherwise i'll be eating into money that has only just gone into savings (this is why i never have savings...they disappear on stuff that breaks as soon as i save it!!)
I received a lovely gift from hubby today thougha big box from interflora and inside there was a basket of flowers & ivy :happyhearand tonight once the kids are in bed i am going to enjoy a few glasses of vino and watch valentines day on sky (may as well make the use of sky movies whilst i have it!)

Oh dear I kind of 'fell off the wagon' today
My hubby called me to tell me they were having problems paying his wages into my new account, no idea why, but i wasn't in the best of moods anyway after the iron & scales breaking!
SO i decided to go shopping....I ended up spending £60
which to be honest was quite restrained as i put back lots of stuff i originally picked up! I got my iron....£7.50 (reduced from £10 in asda as box was damaged) and i got my scales £7.99...and also some stock cubes £1 that i forgot to get on the weekly shop.
That is ALL i NEEDED(quick sum,,£16.49 worth of things) the rest of it was spent on clothes (most in sale in asda), tupperware containers- which i kind of did need but not essential, a door stop??? (hmmm) and sweets
!!! VERY glad i put lots back though as i very nearly bought an entire new kitchen range from asda & the range....slapped wrists for me i think! This is why i avoid town and shops like the plague, i just can not trust myself!!!
Tomorrow will be a NSD am spending the day cooking and baking ..thursday i have to pick my son up for half term from school so will use the 5p off petrol voucher i got from te$co the other dayand i'm hoping i won't completely blow the budget next week what with half term & my birthday :rotfl: oh dear it's all in danger of going completely wrong here isn't it!

Well today was productive (ish)
Most importantly after yesterday it was a NSD :j
I made the braised lamb which was delicious!!! The kids thought it must have been dog food or something though as they turned their noses up at it :wall: had to bribe my daughter with a chocolate mousse for pudding if she ate it (which worked :j) and my son refused this offer so i ended up feeding him one spoon of mousse, one spoon of lamb   which i would have thought tasted yukky but he liked it :rotfl:
Good job too as i have 3 portions left in the freezer haha :rotfl:
I'm just watching 'rip off britain' on BBC1 (missed the beginning) but it's about going with companies for debt help that charge and it just hammers home to me how lucky i was to get out of the agreement with DFH before it started!!! Phew!! i think i was one of the lucky ones there! Thank God my friend gave me the number for the national debtline!
Anyway i'm hoping to keep tomorrow as low a spend day as possible but i need to drive to Dover & back which is a long drive so need petrol (have 5p off a litre voucher though- MUST remember it!) and will eat before i go, but when i pick up my son i usually stop somewhere so he can eat so will probably have to use my 'eating out' budget for that and top it up with anything left from my grocery budget so i can afford to take kids somewhere next week for my b-day!
I also had my hair cut todayand it was free! Because i did it myself
hmmm so i hope it looks ok from angles i can't see haha! I did qualify as a hairdresser many moons ago so I know how to cut hair....it's just doing my own is always a nightmare lol. Oh and my mum has told me if i do hers she will pay me a tenner :T
Right-O time for Waterloo road, so bye-bye (if anyone is reading, if not then i shall just talk to myself :rotfl:)MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. January 1st £118,267.06. Yesterday's spends totalled £65 which i think was pretty good, under budget anyway :j only £47 on petrol and £3 on bridge/tunnel charges. I also bought pizza for everyone as we didn't end up getting home until 10 pm.
Today is a NSD (so far) lol my son is home from school though and I will prob end up spending a fortune in blockbuster this weekendi've done a meal planner that takes us up to next thursday though :T and i only need to buy one meal for it the rest is in the freezer
oooh this being organised lark is quite fun! I will also need to buy things like juice, milk etc so will still have a spend there.
And then next thurs-sun/mon we are travelling over to granny's house so i will have to buy food there for the kids! But will try to be thrifty and not revert back to my old ways of take out every night!!
Still have £60 left in the budget for petrol to get me there and then bk to son's school and home again so i'm hoping it's enough! it is costing me a fortune to fill my tank up recently  when i first bought the car it cost £44!!! now i'm lucky if i change from £66+ and we've only had the car a few yrs! I think it's disgusting!!!
I also have birthday cards due next week so i know i will be getting some money in there, so i may use it to replace my trousers that i absolutely love from next and i got bleach all down the other week<<<< and i really did cry! lol
Ooh and i forgot to add i have some great news regarding my house in Walesi received a phone call today -saying there are tenants that want to move in Next Thursday!!! And they don't want the house re-painted (which i was planning on doing as not been done for 3 years!) as they have a dog!! this will save me lots of money and now i only need to fix a few things in there and will be earning money on it from next month onwards:T:T so i can use all the extra money to throw at my debt!!! Some one out there is looking out for me after all!
AND i should be guaranteed money from them and they shouldn't mess me around like the last lot, as their insurance company is paying the rent!!! (their last house flooded) this bit of news has cheered me up good and proper!!
