Morning
Keggie, I think that little old lady will be remembered forever more by me haha, she reminded me of catherine tate's granny character, and she kept shouting at the cashier who was shirking back in her seat, then she would stop...and say (everytime) 'i'm sorry dearie it's not your fault, I know, You can't help it that you work for a bl**dy bank as sh**e as this' HAHAHA omg i wanted to laugh! and also pat the old lady on the back (for saving my day!) but i also felt sorry for her as i'd had EXACTLY the same trouble the day before! LOL and she kept saying' you do realise that as you are not giving me my money you are effectively ROBBING me!!!!' lolololol :rotfl:
i SO wanted to giggle i hope i have as much energy when i am her age! which by the way must have been hitting 80 odd!!!
Abba I can't believe I (or we if i include lil old woman) had so much trouble! I thought it was because the computer was flashing up NONONONONO to me....but clearly it is just san**nder and they do it to everyone!
Today is my shopping dayso i am going to try and stick to budget and i am even going to but a gammon joint and slice thinly and use as ham for snacks instead of paying £3 for 8 slices!! Also am going to attempt to make sausage rolls, my god i feel like mother earth since beginning on this MSE journey!
Also have some parcels to send off from ebay sales/ fb sales, and have to organise a few pick ups with people who live local! I need some bits for the house too such as a duvet for my son as his baby one is too small now (bless him he was freezing when he woke this morning) so will see if a$da have a cheapie one today ..already have plenty of covers for them so don't need to buy them at least!
AM currently searching online for chest of drawers & beds but there is soooooooo much choice/price differences etc that i got completely baffled last nightand i really wanted the bedroom done before hubby gets bk from tour. So if anyone reading knows of any good places to buy good quality furniture (cheaply) pls tell! Already tried ebay but no luck for anything close by ...also tried charity shops...and to be honest i think i would like new anyway, we've had hand-me downs since forever lol!

Morning all, well what a day yesterday!
I ended up in A&E, as all day i had had really scary moments of dizziness & sickness, it had been coming and going for a week (at least), and then yesterday i went out for my usual breakfast and chat with the girls and I just felt awful!
I thought i must have been dizzy because i was hungry but i had a massive fry up (£3.50!) and still felt dizzy, almost like when you are drunk, when your eyes move then your brain catches up 5 seconds later and the room is spinnnig. By the time i got home it was worse and i was feeling sick everytime i moved, laying down didn't help nor sitting still etc (tried every postion going) ...and then I fell over -just completely lost my balance and down I went!
Luckily kids were napping so i didn't fall on one and wasn't carrying one! But it scared me enough to call NHS direct and ask what I could do, after a full triage, she wanted me to see my dr- who i knew wouldn't fit me in even if i was laid on the floor dying! they are useless! So my friend drove me to local A&E (we have a walk in bit for non emergency so i didn't clog up time for more important visits!) ..I had almost scared myself into thinking i was in the middle of having a stroke by this point as the nurse from NHS had asked if i had pins and needles-which i did down my left side- and was confused & spaced out etc....luckily I wasn'tthank god I don't have full blown hypochondria though lol i would have had a panic attack on top of it!
It turned out I had Vertigo?? Which -excuse my ignorance- I thought was fear of heights! I have tablets now and have to go bk to DR next week and was slapped on the wrist for not going to dr sooner as i've been experiencing this for months now (but yesterday was by far the worst attack yet) and also because i never went bk to dr after my iron levels were low & also several other things (don't remember what) so more blood tests for me- can you see why I don't like dr's...and funny thing was that she asked what my diet was like (as i know yesterday i looked like s**t, pale and pasty) and it is better now than it has been in years! Thanks to MSE ways that is! as i bulk cook nearly everything so we don't even have our pizza nights anymore- and if we do it's cooked from scratch! So i'm thinking my iron must be low, -it always has been- and perhaps the other things are still not right. So means I have to do my monthly blood tests again, only for them to say they don't know what is wrong
but want me to have them every 6 weeks anyway BOOOOO!
Sorry this post is totally off topic of money saving etc, but was pretty scared yesterday and thought i would share!
MSE things yesterday- I posted off ebay stuff, paid £1000 into my saving account -hubby's bonus for bed & whatever he wanted when he gets bk
I put in a travel claim for myself as I am allowed to claim 2 lots of travel- i usually don't bother but this time put in one going right over to the other side of country (even though i didn't actually go lol) and this should be around £200...which i will put into savings...we will then have exactly one months wages spare....so any extra after this I am going to put onto debt (well paying CCCS extra s they can split it) so if we have any repairs with car, washing machine breaks etc we can use the savings and not have to worry. And as we;re not allowed any credit anymore cos of the DMP i think it's a good idea to keep this savings topped up to the one month's wages mark!
Mmm nothing else to report lol, I'm staying in today as still too dizzy to drive-the tabs seem to have worked on the sickness thoughand am cooking beef curry in slow cooker to freeze in portions, and will do a chilli over night tonight in it so i will have lots of meals in freezer so i am hoping all i need this month is fresh stuff now and no meat!

Wow, I hope your feeling better!
That little old lady made me laugh too :rotfl: god bless her, and I agree about Ikea furniture being great too. I bought a sofa there about 5-6 years ago and it's still in great condition (apart from the chocolate stains, but hey, thats not their fault) where as the one from DFS is all saggy and rubbish now after only 4 years and costing 3 times as much.
Good job on the ebay stuff. I need to get listing again

evening all,
Well still feeling pretty rubbish today and my daughter has a temperature too today so we've stayed in all day. It should have been a NSD but i popped on here earlier and saw a link to a site where you only pay postage for things and ended up buying 4 things...!!
I made some bread and HM pizza today, and also have shortcrust pastry in the fridge, i made it and put it in there for 20 mins then daughter got sick and i forgot about it :rotfl:so i hope it's ok for tomorrow!
I ended up ordering some furniture with hubby's bonusand cant wait till it arrives! althought it said it can take up to 16 weeks  i'm hoping not though!! I looked at ikea and the sizes weren't right (we have a rabbit hutch home lol) and i was looking for specific items...i did see however some lovely beds which i still haven't ordered so may get that from there! I'm quite please we have spent his bonus on something that we will have to show for it -for once!
I also opened a letter addressed to hubby earlier as it was in big red writing and it is another bill...not already on our dmp  it's a tax bill from when hubby was self employed...long story cut short he worked with another bloke who did all the driving and therefore every job would pay him....he in turn would take out tax money and pay hubby..well they fell out and now his ex-friend :mad: is saying hubby never gave him any money for tax stamps. I'm not sure if we have a leg to stand on tbh but we are going to go to tax aid when he gets home and ask them! I'm fuming with hubby for not ever getting proper receipts & fuming with the bloke who effectively STOLE our money to buy him and his missus a holiday  he used to be hubby's best friend for well over 10 years too makes it all the more sad
But anyway I have enough stress without making myself get angry at that too lol, we'll just have to wait to see what happens, i am guessing in a month or so though i will be adding to the debt
Tonight I am aiming to put little ones to bed by half 7 :j so i can chillax (no wine though boo, not allowed it on the tabs i got from hospital) but says nothing about no chocolate :rotfl: and a lemonade :rotfl:MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. thanks hun, well the kids went to sleep eventually! my youngest (20 months nearly) decided to strip off and fall asleep in the middle of his room stark naked lol, i found him and he'd wet all over his floor and himself so don't think he was too impressed about me washing him down 10pm at night and dressing him again lol!
Gave up on 3 films, all were boring, or maybe i'm just too tired i couldn't concentrate, either way i've been on here & facebook nosing lol. found some bargains over on the freebie board, if you go to Greggs website and join up you can get free food & drinksi won a BOGOF bacon/sausage roll
so when i go to town next week i will stop in there on the way round the shops and give them lunch
i usually shep herd them away from the food shops and give them a pack of raisens (bad mum) lol so they will both be hopefully pleasantly surprised!
Also got some free luggage tagswhich will come in handy when we go away on hol this yr (i can't wait wohoo) ....err oh and a lancome foundation sample
i was just running out of my estee lauder one so that will save me £20 odd quid for a bit longer
