i went to ikea
and spent *whispers so hubby doesn't hear* £100 :O
£10 was for my sisters/mum though as they had bargain kids tables so i picked some up for family and they are paying me bk (excuses i know)
£36 was on storage for 2 babies room -and best £30 i spent in a loooooooong time i can finally walk through their room without falling over everything!:T
got some kitchen utensils that broke & tupperware & few bits to decorate the bedroom (inc. 2 rugs like you said......SOoooooooo cheap lol)
AND i think we *may* have stolen some candles...my DD brought her trolley with her and i thought i had checked it over and made sure it was empty but i found candles in bottom...other child (Son) was screaming at till so it was all a bt of a rush and the lady on checkout came out and scanned everything so not sure if she got them or not (feeling very bad!) and can't make head nor tail of the receipt lol :rotfl:oh well, i'm sure daughter is still too young to be done for shop lifting!
HAve listed 17 things on ebay tonightam very pleased with myself for keeping this up!! :T
No other spends today (good job too) and need food shop some point soon so hoping i can stay in my food budget as i still have 3 weeks left before pay day  and not much left in the budget lol.MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. Am feeling absolutely gutted tonight
:wall:hubby is coming home from 6 months and 3 weeks away and they are sending him on another course in May for 6 weeks. I just want to cry
really really not happy right now. he keeps telling me it's not his fault, which i never said it was, and now we are arguing over me being upset?!!! SO sick of this life sometimes, no wonder i got into the 'comfort spending' routine, i suppose it was either that or food or wine (or a bit of all 3)
ANYWAY (must stop thinking/dwelling on this) :lipsrseal
MSE things...went shopping to MR S and spent around £60 (need to check receipt to update sig) it is SO expensive in there compared to my usual shop at tesco or asda! AND i got everything own brand barr the stuff that was on offer ??!!
Tomorrow I MUST post my ebay items i have one that was paid for on thursday here and still not sent! Don't want to ruin my good feedback! Have watchers on my 17 listed items but no bids as of yet- does anyone bid early now? or does everyone bid last minute! Hmmm waiting in for a delivery tomorrow so will make something nice in the slow cooker and spend all day cleaning...how fun! Not sure why i bother when i have 2 small destructive people in the house that go around behind me trashing it. Oh well!
No more news other than i am P*ssed off if you didn't already gather that :mad:MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. January 1st £118,267.06. I hated that....when my DS was born my ex only saw him 3 months out of 18 months, military life is hard, the squardrons take no consideration for family life whatsoever which is a shame tbh. Yet they expect us to get one with it.....................my pet peeve was when I complained about it to family all I got was "YOU KNEW WHAT YOU MARRIED INTO!!!" eh no I didn't i've from a civvie street family not military lolNEXT TARGET: Halifax credit card DEC 22 £0 / £4499.12POAMAYC 2011 £6378.35 POAMAYC 2012 £5000.78POAMAYC 2013 £3480.04 POAMAYC 2014 £4085.14POAMAYC 2015 £7565.24 POAMAYC 2016 £8000.90 POAMAYC 2017 £7278.80 POAMAYC 2018 £13208.18POAMAYC 2019 £13309.28 POAMAYC 2020 £15026.050

Thanks Abba nice to know someone understands where i am coming from. My hubby joined up late so he wasn't army when i met him so it makes me so angry if anyone dares to say 'well you knew that when you met him' grrrrrr seems standard response to any moan from army wives
Today should have been a NSD but i had to go to post office so spent a fiver posting off parcels. apart from that though i went home and waited in for parcels for myself lol. got all the stuff through from robert dyas and some of it looks super good....so good i don't want to give it away- i MUST allocate it asap or else if i know it is in a box upstairs and doesn't belong to anyone then i am sure it will find it's way into my kitchen/living room etc haha.
I ordered my son's summer wardrobe last night whilst it was on offer from Gap (30% off everything, 5% cashback :money:) so i hope he likes it! I have gone over on the clothing budget now, but not by too much! and was such a bargain i had to get it lol :rotfl:and besides i felt sorry for him he is ALWAYS dressed in Primark, stuff from Peacocks etc or charity shop. And now he is at posh school (this is what i renamed it lol) I thought i ought to make an effort seeing as though he mixes all the time with officers kids who get whatever they want! AND i had the BEST report ever from his school :T he is in top set for everything and is in the top 5% of those groups for maths & science -slightly below for english but still top set! I am SO SOSOSOSO proud of him and feel that sending him off to that school was the best decision ever, he is so clever & i wanted to give him a good start (so he can pay my pension for me when he is earning big dosh in a few years :rotfl::rotfl:)anyway that's my proud mummy moment of today. Back to reality now where the two younger ones are driving me INSANE  <
this is me and how i look after half an hour with them when they are on top form :rotfl: LOL anyway may be back later I am doing my spreadsheets tonight (oooooh exciting! -with a bottle of Vino, I need it! Highly stressed today!)MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. January 1st £118,267.06. I had hardly any wives from ex's work as friends as there so snotty and up themselves (not all but the majority) I think i have collected about 10 RAF wives as friends and we're all still in touch but most of my friends were from college or going out and about to kids playgroups lol Don't get me started on officers wives lol
congrats on your son you must be soooooooooooooo proud x x x i don't really shop at gap but well done on the bargains i'm sure he'll appreciate them x x xNEXT TARGET: Halifax credit card DEC 22 £0 / £4499.12POAMAYC 2011 £6378.35 POAMAYC 2012 £5000.78POAMAYC 2013 £3480.04 POAMAYC 2014 £4085.14POAMAYC 2015 £7565.24 POAMAYC 2016 £8000.90 POAMAYC 2017 £7278.80 POAMAYC 2018 £13208.18POAMAYC 2019 £13309.28 POAMAYC 2020 £15026.050 -
lol the RAF cliques sound the same as the Army ones then for wives! there is even a group around and they call themselves PARA WAGS:rotfl:oh dear! My hubby's new job when he gets back is to be driver for the C.O....that should be fun! NOT! His wife seems so stuck up, it seems the higher the rank their husbands get the higher the wives noses go in the air
just my observation of course! I have put my monsters (AKA children) to bed already i couldn't hack another hour....how awful am i!!!
Anyway i'll be flitting between here there and excel tonight...i received a freebie in the post this morning so that cheered me up a bit!! A free bottle of eyedrops :T not much, but makes a nice change from bills huh!

I'm sorry your having a bit of a rough time at the mo.... but come on.... you knew what you were marrying into.
:rotfl::rotfl: Kidding, kidding!
Seriously though, it must suck having him away so much, especially if the other wives aren't all that great

ohhh been on excel so far i have spent on pressies this year....(xmas & birthday & mother's day etc etc) £63.98 and saved £109 exactly!!!:T:eek:
I'm pretty good at spotting a bargain anyway but never been quite so organisedas this and writing it down so i can keep tabs on how much i spend and save is great! and i have another tab/sheet for unallocated presents so if i have forgotten someone i can have a quick look on there to see what i already have :T Some of the clothes i have ordered for ds i may well hold back too and keep for his birthday which is in october so i get a head start on him ...but we'll see lol
And thank you both....my ds is so clever because he takes after me naturally....pmsl if he is ever naughty that is when he takes after hubby hahaha!
