Ahh thanks ABBA, I still have a way to go....this morning arrived 2 parcels...which i had ordered the other night when half drunk
and feeling sorry for myself lol. So now i have some (admittidly) lovely tops and a dress from DP and some kitchen cannisters for tea & coffee ( i am queen of random purchases such as the door stop :rotfl:) oh dear. But it could have been worse! I was still within my birthday money budget so it's ok, i think maybe one of my resolutions for march should be....NO MORE WINE :rotfl::T
But not sure i would last long
Today is a NSD as i am not going anywhere! It's wet and cold out!
I am cooking the lemon drizzle cake in the slow cooker, so will let everyone know how it turns out. And have also cooked a victoria sponge in the conventional oven as a back up lol :rotfl:
Still no dvd's that i ordered from play.com  nearly a week now and it said it had been dispatched on saturday??!!! -post hasn't been yet though so maybe it MAY come still!?!
I spent last night writing up some new resolutions so may put on here later, not just money saving/debt busting but other things that i never do but should! Anyway off to check on the cakes and bread dough!MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. January 1st £118,267.06. Hey DFW,
I'm sorry, but "oh dear....terrible fail or as my son told me 'epic fail mum, but it's only your first month you will learn' haha! thanks son! :rotfl:" made my LOL :rotfl:
That's my new slogan for over spending 'EPIC FAIL!' :rotfl: Love it.
And don't worry about your over spends... until you buy £400 pounds worth of kitchen cannisters and door stops your still doing better than me!
Don't know exactly how to post picks... maybe you need a higher post count to do it or something? When I come back from London I may post a pick or two so will let you know
Take care babe, speak to you soon.

Hi DFW,
I am debating whether or not to ask for the slow cooker lemon drizzle cake recipe - it sounds yummy but will not help me fit into my dress!

Morning All,
I'm writing from mum's house this morningYesterday I took the kids to meet my mum & sisters & cousins in the local shopping centre, this by the way was a bad move! £50 later and we made it home
Total spends yesterday were £107.49
£57 was car related though (tunnel charges, petrol and parking)
then as son is going bk to school sunday i let him have some money, I fed them in the car on the way down so they wouldn't want fast food.....well that worked well they just ended up eating twice!!!
I treated myself to some bits at the body shop, but got my discount as am a member :T and also £5 off as it's my birthday month!
AND today mum has offered to babysit so my sister & I can go out without the 5 kids (2 are hers i don't have 2 more hidden somewhere lol) ....I have a feeling this will not bode well for the already 'epic fail' on my target lol!
BUT i never ever get to go out without kids so i am going and s*d the budget (oops) at least for today
I am happy to share recipe for lemon drizzle cake...but won't post unless you ask haha i don't want to tempt unless you asked hehe i don't want the blame for not fitting into a wedding dress
And DB i may be overtaking you today on the naughty spends...hoping it's not all on cannisters though pmsl

Well i've finally got 10 mins to pop on and update
I managed to stay in under budget overall for february even after all my little spendsI think the main factor for this was because i have shaved off £150 from my food budget since January :T
I went out and got (very) drunk and ended up spending on my card for 2 rounds, luckily was only me and my sister lol or that may have worked out very expensive!
Yesterday was pay day and i tried to empty out hubby's account before Santan**r got their sticky little fingers on it (after bloody charging us loads of times this month for stuff too ) and they wouldn't let me take more than £500 outI had to order the money apparantly which i knew nothing about?! It's a bank surely they had enough to give lil old me with hardly anything in the account anyway! But seemed not....then the boy at the counter kept asking me how much i needed and whether i wanted the overdraft or not (which i did as it was hubby's pay) and he wasn't letting me order the whole amount. I very nearly had a huge breakdown i was there so long! And the whole time i felt like i was trying to rob the bank (felt guilty for trying to get my own money!)
Anyway they wouldn't give me the moneyi tried then to find another bank in the area with enough on their cash books but none available. So i asked if i could order some for today, which they said yes,, how much! so i tried for the full amount of hubby's wages (which is also including the overdraft because we were at the end of it already!) and they said yes but it will need to be approved at the branch i chose on the day (damned damned damn!!!) SO today i rolled up.....and luckily for me there was a full argument already in swing between a little old lady trying to clear some money from her bank and she had no I.D....didn't feel like it would bode well for me trying to do the same
anyway got the cashier next to lil old lady and she had to go get it approved...the manager was so busy with old lady that she signed without even glancing at it
:D:D SO i quickly took my 1700 and hop skipped and RAN away from the bank!!! wahey thank god for little old ladies and no I.D!!
I felt like i had robbed them but I didn't really care at that point! I was sure their computer screen would flash up red and say NOOOOOO to me having the money! PHEW what a relief
SO i now have one of hubby's bonuses which was ear marked for replacing our very broken and worn through bed (silly removal men bent our mattress in half when moving and broke all springs ) i'm so excitedand I have some shopping (and bargain hunting) to do now!! can't wait would love to get the bedroom finished and ready for when hubby comes home! He's been sleeping on a cot bed for 6 months so i'd love to get a nice new mattress and bed :T
spends today
£53 in argos today (clearance section...got 3 neice/nephew birthday pressies) and a meat thermometor, electric knife & baking tins
£11 on fruit & veg on the stall in town....feel very bad for small companies now after watching the peoples supermarket! Although i'm not sure i will go to town every week so may not be able to support them until hubby comes bk! which is only 33 days and counting
£3.20 car park....the only ONLY!!!! place that was free to park and a bl**dy good 20 min walk anyway into town has been painted with double yellow lines  grrr at the council :mad:MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000.
