  • Targets & Jobs to do In October:

*Get toys back to toy library
    *sell junk on ebay
*Avoid BUYING on ebay (seems a little counter productive when i spend all my earnings on there again!)
*put toys in garage from garden once the 'indian summer' has vanished
    *mow lawn one more time
    *lose some weight!
*return hoover to army (broken & been in garage for months!)
*get DH to show ME how to put music on hard drive so i can do that and get rid of c.ds!
*[STRIKE]Sort out savings accounts and make a list of account numbers with ref to what savings are in them[/STRIKE]
*[STRIKE]send off magazine subscription tokens i got from te$co using points (xmas pressies so need to send off soon)[/STRIKE]
*[STRIKE]find out when DS can come home next/when i can next visit him- think it's either this sunday coming or next...[/STRIKE]*Wrap some presents up for christmas (already started on this yesterday....yes i am slightly mad :D)
*transfer wrapped christmas pressies from ds1 room to a suitable hiding place
    *keep spend diary
*[STRIKE]call tax credits get payment to be made in one sum at beginning of month instead of weekly.[/STRIKE]
*do same with child benefit decided to keep this weekly as a 'just in case' we are skint month!!
    *Sort out my wardrobe

Bills are all due out tomorrow so need to reassess budget situation then.
Quidco still due to my bank not sure where that has gone!?

checked bank and quidco is due in tomorrow :T £12.50 so will transfer this to the emergency funds. Got no bids on ebay at the mo but a few watchers ...
Have £165 left for the month from wages  but obviously we have tax credits £78 every tuesday due, and child benefit of £46 each monday. From next month we hopefully will get tax credits in one lump sum at beginning of the month but not really sure how it works, they told me it comes every 4 weeks?

No phone call from survey company yet...

Hoping to hear some good news re tenants by the end of the month. Although i've been on the phone to them 3 times today and they are so uninterested it is making me  esp considering when i have tenants i give them 10% of each month's rent !!! Not happy!

Anyway had a good catch up with a friend today had a cuppa round hers this morning and then saw her in the park an hour later lol ...she is trying to get me to do zumba once a week though and really have no money in budget until tenants are in my house (BooooooooooooHissssssssssss) :rotfl:

Anyway i had best run, dd is asleep, this now means she won't be going to bed at 7pm like usual! But her moaning and fighting with her brother was toooooooooooooooo much so i made her have a nap!

  • Hi DFW. I trust you are well today.

Well, the NSD race at present consists of :
    DFW
    happy but skint
    slm6002
    bonnington

I have had an NSD today so we have three joint leaders. I know someone will correct me if I am wrong. I wonder if happy has an NSD we have not been told about.

It's going to be tough when I am used to spending, but I will try. It would be god if all four of us could finish equal. :D

  • Well today I was going to pop to the pharmacy but seeing as though i'm being good with my NSD's (and a little competition helps me to stay on track lol) I'm going to attempt some home remedies for a stye i have. It's really hurting and I think it was caused by my mad cleaning spree the other day...I didn't take any antihistamines and i'm allergic to dust :rotfl:so my own silly fault!

But I'm going to try the ones i've found on a blog....tea bags, tea tree oil, and salt water....hopefully one of those will work! -I shall let you know ;)

DD wet her bed last night, then got into ours and wet ours too, nice. So we've been up since 6am when that happened. Absolutely shattered already! I'm taking her to nursery even though she has a slight cough, they can send her home if they think she is ill -which i don't (she keeps saying she is)...ds2 has also had a slight cough :( but i think it is the same thing i had last week, just an irritating tickly cough. It only lasted a few days on me so hopefully same with the kids!

I've re-organised the landlord's insurance for £95 for the year. That's been paid in a one-er and DH has to still sort out the army insurance for the contents as apparantly we aren't 'tenants' so we can't get your usual contents insurance as it doesn't cover us. Be nice if they told me that last year would have saved me £100 !

Quidco has been paid into my account :T so i will transfer this in a mo to my emergency fund! Just waiting for a few other payments to come out and go in then i will know properly where we stand financially for the month ahead :)

Anyone else expecting a NSD today....?
