well kids are still ill, spoke to nursery and it sounds like it could be chicken pox :( ! So now i guess it's a waiting game to see if spots appear or not.

I have decided not to stray onto other boards for advice on this forum, i feel that some people purposely get a kick out of 'telling you off', 'belittling you' and 'making you feel stupid'! So lesson learned ....I called my father last night who has promised to let me have one of his employees for a few days to go clean/clear my house....i obviously have to pay him what he would have been paid if he were working that day so i'm seriously hoping he's not expensive :D on the plus side it means i won't have to pay lots of different work men to go in and do the jobs and so hopefully should work out cheaper?! we shall see though....

Another day in today so wil be another nsd...to be honest though i'm getting a bit fed up with sitting in. It's definitely good for my purse, considering we have £3 left till pay day but it's slowly making me lose the will to live ......!!!!

DS2 was up at 3am -5am, DD decided to get up at 5.30am so I feel like a walking zombie today!

Will use today to do something productive, I will, I will, I will...after another cup of tea that is *yawn*!

I feel what you are saying too about staying in, sleepness nights and definetely the zombie thing!
  • another NSD here so that's 14 now :) if i have another tomorrow that will be 15 for the month!

I've been on the grabbit boards again (tut) and have seen some must have bargains so have saved them in a basket for payday (naughty. must stop going on there. kids have enough toys for xmas. even if they are bargains and half price.)

off to bed now before i see anything else. I must HAVE!

Argh kids are still ill so another day in. No doubt they will be better when all the hot weather has gone .......

O.K so logged on to bank this morning to see how much pay dh is getting and so i could work out how much we have left. We have a little break away near the end of the month too so i need enough petrol money and a little spending money. This will probably have to come from the emergency budget though!

Had a little look and made a note of all standing orders/direct debits too, this month we have coming out:

    26.82- life/kit insurance (dh)
    40.00- axa
    217.38- mortgage
    295.00-cccs
    90.00- gas/elec
41.05- sky (this had best come down by half next month )
31.58- phone/broadband (this also has been revised on a new package so hopefully be a lot lower next month)
    12.43- t.v license

    38.00-car insurance
20.00- £10 each to landlord insurance/contents insurance fund
    140.00-school fees/music lessons
50.00- birthday/christmas fund (this is a new one for me)

I also need to take out £22 for car tax

and after that i've worked out we have around 800 left for the month which i will split up as follows:

    £250-grocery budget
£45.00- mobile (for 3 of us)
£100- pocket money (me & dh)
    £60- entertainment fund
£220 petrol (need slightly more for holiday this month & school runs)
£XXX -whatever is left into the emergency fund again.

I can't help think i'm missing something though.....hmmm...will have to have another think unless someone reading can see something obvious missing :o

I also have a target of putting 30 things on ebay, this is achievable i think as it works out to 1 a day!

I want 30 sock monkeys made ready to sell end of october, i already have 20 in the making at the moment so this is also achievable

I've kind of let my diet slip to the wayside, but I would like to keep an eye on what i'm eating and not let it slip completely this month! So more slow cooker meals and less last minute fishfingers & chips :o

Already done a big shop for the beginning of the month (arrives tomorrow) and am quite willing to pay the delivery now considering how sick the kids are, really couldn't cope with 2 of them screaming all the way round the shops! I do need to add some more nappies, but still hoping to get it in under £100 though.

DH is moaning again about how much he hates his job and wants to move to Germany, so i think that is on the cards for sure, just a matter of when.

I have my doctor's appointment later to renew prescription for new anti-depressants. The app is at 5.30 so I am hoping & praying dh will be home by then so i don't have to take the kids with me! Right best get off and actually do something i guess whilst i still have a little energy left (Up again during the night with kids, yawn!)

Have a great day all :A

  • yes it would have done...we had a right problem when we moved in here though, BT were insisting we pay £125 connection fee (which we didn't have- height of our problems starting) so we went with talk talk who did it for free. Then we found out we could have had it done for free. I tried to get out of contract with talk talk, they wouldn't let me unless i paid charges/fees whatever. Grrr. So i have to wait for contract to end....I've always had sky package, see talk surf or whatever it was called and was much cheaper but you know i had to do everything backwards when i moved in here. lol so long story short, yeah i pay too much. But am trying to sort it out ;) (albeit slowly lol)

p.s hope BF is better soon! so much going around at the mo!

    xx

  • Hey HBS :)

Well Dh wanted to get his jumps in first before going for a transfer as he's owed back pay once the course is completed....so we are kinda just waiting around to see if he gets it anytime soon. It's getting to that time of the year though when there won't be anymore courses because of weather so really if it doesn't happen in October we can pretty much say it won't happen till next year. If he gets it done this year i think he will put in a transfer straight away and then it's dependant on whether they have a job for him straight away.....it's all a bit up in the air to be honest and i hate uncertainty :( !

I went to the dr's finally (been meaning to for a week and half) renewed my inhalers so no probs there won't need to see her anytime soon. Renewed new anti d's and also booked a flu jab with nurse. Mentioned constant tiredness and exhaustion to dr and she just shooed me out of the surgery :( sometimes they make me feel like a complete hypochondriac! (i promise i'm not!)

DH has popped out and is buying me some wine from the change jar money. Had a rubbish week with kids ill, dr being rude and house a tip and me being shattered (not helped by kids not sleeping either!) so think I deserve it :D

payday tomorrow and can't wait! The food shop is due and bills are going out. By saturday we will be skint again :rotfl:pah such is life!

Well i've checked the bank this morning and was rather annoyed to see the electricity that is due out is £77 not £50 ?!?! The good news is the sky direct debit is £10 cheaper but that is still a difference of £17 !

The other good news is, I get to feel rich all weekend as the bills aren't due out until monday :rotfl:.....but this also means i'm scared to use any money until everything is paid!

I need to get onto the ebay today, have decided to list 5 things on turbo lister (for a start) and 5 tomorrow, and hopefully another 5 sunday. Then i will upload all of them on sunday afternoon as i've heard this is the best time for people looking? Will put them on for 7 days. If i had been more organised I could have got them on for 10 days to end next Sunday. But i wasn't!

I have received my first negative feedback on ebay in 7 years of being on there  I sold an item that i bought at a shop as saying it was from that shop. The buyer (who buys these shop items cheap and then re-sells on) sends me an email after receiving it and tells me that it is not from the shop i said it was from.....so argument ensues, she leaves me bad feedback.....:( not too happy....she has made me out to be a lier which i wasn't and am not. Not much i can do about it now i suppose but still not impressed and it's things like this that put me off selling :(

I'm feeling a bit down in the dumps today, not sure if it's being cooped up indoors for a whole week that has done it, the exhaustion which hits me every now and then (and especially so this week) or what!? But need to kick myself up the backside and get up and do things before I end up in one of my proper black moods (not good for anyone)

Kids are feeling a bit better today although still slightly hot so i may get us all dressed and take them to the zoo. Not sending DD to nursery today as she was still burning up last night so don't want her passing on germs at nursery. BUT i'm certain a trip to the zoo this afternoon would do us all good and also is free so good on the purse :)

    So jobs for today:
    Make beds
    Get showered (everyone)
    Get dressed
    Trip to the zoo
Back in time for shopping to arrive
5 things on turbo lister! I will do this!!!

Doesn't sound like much really :o but i am so tired i can barely keep my eyes open so this will be a struggle enough i'm sure!
