Me too. Sounds like a chat is needed though to get your point of view accross. Not good about costs being slightly higher over there. Is there nowhere in UK that would progress him quicker?
Were off to beach on saturday so hope it doesnt rain. It my wedding anniversary and each year we go and build sandcastles with the kids and then treat ourselves to fish and chips on seafront. Cheaper but far less sophisticated than a meal for 2 by candlelight.
Aw how romantic! :smileyhea
I've just sent him a msg asking where in the UK we can go instead for promotion...I know he will get one if we stay here, but he hates his job here so i'd feel bad for making him stay out of guilt.

I SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoo want to go to cyprusunfortunately DH job won't take him there, he is in artillary not infantry
(BOOOOOOOOOO) oh and the pay is £520 extra not £250 (dependant on how many kids you have and DH friend only had one hence he got 250) so could work out beneficial....hmm....and lots of english nurseries, also benefits of a new tax free car (desperately need one lol)
I am still trying to persuade hubby to take a job as a postman though (or whatever will get him to cyprus :rotfl:)
Hmm anyway i was cleaning and got distracted by cityville on fb :rotfl:so off to finish then to friends!

Ok so back from friends house, i knew she would know her stuff! She lived in Germany for a few years growing up and said most places were apartments not houses (which i had already heard anyway) but were huge.
I'm still really worried about giving up my garden thoughwe've done so much with it and I love gardening
BUT i always have said that if you are given an opportunity you should go for it. So I am giving Hubby the go ahead.
AND if it is meant to be, then he will be given the transfer, if it's not then he won't, simple as that i guess?
So Pros:
DH may be home a lot more than he is now
Get to sample a different culture
I always wanted to live abroad (just never really germany!)
We will be financially better off (on paper)
we should get a bigger place as we are entitled to 4 beds (here also although they tell me they have none available even though i walk past empty ones every day *sigh*)
we need a new car- pay no tax
Cons:
He may still be sent away as much as he is now
Missing family
Miss friends
Miss my garden
We may not end up with as much money if the living costs are that much higher?!
Hmmmm lot to think about! But i'm feeling positive (atm :rotfl:)

Hi DFW
Sorry I've been AWOL
Sounds like you've got alot to think about with Germany.
I promise I'll pop in more frequently from now on0 -
Tuesday
Have spent the afternoon so far waiting for someone to come and look at my boiler as it's leaking, still no show from them so have been out to the garden done some weeding and also changed the swing from a baby one to a big one so all the kids can use it now. Also found a pushchair in the shed that only used 2x (oops) so going to try and find the rain cover (never used) and sell on ebay or FB. Also have a spare trampoline pad as we were accidently sent 2 of those and also two rain covers so will try and sell those too. Even if i don't get much it will make space in my shed!
sent a parcel to DS this morning he has a dance for the end of term on saturday and is supposed to go with a girl ( far too young in my opinion lol but school insists it helps to socialise them all) but he said he asked a few and they all ummed and ahhed and then went with someone elseawww my poor baby, hasn't got a date to his first dance. I feel so bad for him. I don't think he is that bothered but all the other lads have 'dates' well most of his friends anyway. And the girls left over he refuses to go with
so anyway have sent him a pressie (chocolates) in case he does get a date as he is supposed to give her a pressie. But if he doesn't he has a box of celebrations to console himself with :rotfl:and he has plenty of time yet he's only 12
Jobs left to do this week:
Use up food in freezer.
Do a top up shop- am not doing a big one this week. I am POSITIVE i have enough food in, i just seem to get stuck in the cycle of buying a big shop every week as part of my routine!
get listed on ebay at least 8 things!
Finish off those sock monkeys (i will try and get a pic up here after if i can work it out :rotfl:)
Also NSD or LSD (no more than a fiver) till the weekend. Have enough money in bank to top up petrol, buy food till pay day (30th) and pay my two dd's due out (£61) and i want to use next weeks child tax credit & child benefit to transfer to my emergency/contingency fund so if i can stick to budget this is possible so can get that fund up to £700/800 :j
DS breaks up next friday and i'm very excited already :j can't wait! Although seeing as though he is off until september i may be counting down the days by the time everyone else gets their kids off :rotfl::rotfl:
Anyway I WILL go and tackle that ironing pile now! I will, i will, ......maybe after a cuppa

Tues cont'd
Well i got my ironing done :j (2 baskets of it!)
I have a whole laundry basket still to wash and dry, i was waiting for a dry day to be :money: about drying lol, but tbh i don't think that is going to happen so may have to get it all done tomorrow and dried in drier!
DH is putting in for a transfer next month when he has finished his current course so we could be moved before xmas if it all goes through, of course it is dependant on jobs and that he is suitable for what they have available.
I'm having a bit of a downer today really which isn't helping my diet, just feeling very blah and feeling very bored with life like i am stuck in a rut with everything. Perhaps a move would be good, but perhaps not. Think i need to find something to do with my time other than looking after kids all day. I know i should find that in itself rewarding enough, but when they systematically destroy your efforts of tidying the house/garden and kill each other when i try to play with both of them, i feel like i want to put them in nursery and go get a job
i don't feel appreciated (i guess like most mummys huh) and just want DH to turn round sometimes (or just once) and say you do a great job *sigh* back to reality as that will never happen and i can't afford to get a job with how much childcare costs
Ok moan over....!

Totally understand where your coming from. I have just started doing avon for a few extra pennies. I have time when DS at nursery at the moment and LO still happy in pushchair so its working so far. Not sure it would work trying to drag 2 little ones round - might end up more stressed, but worth thinking about maybe?Me, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

Thanks slmI did avon years ago with ds1 in a pushchair and i didn't make much and they gave me the biggest hills in the area and i didn't drive...one thing was good though i never put an ounce of fat on me with all that walking :rotfl:
I already applied a while back for avon here and the area is saturated with bored sahm and nothing to do, i must get 2 avon books a week from different people trying to steal each other's patches lol :rotfl: i've also got betterware here, and a few others that i've not looked at but put str8 back out (cant be tempted then!)
I might give them another call though as that was a few months back now and people always move in and out of here :T
