Poor you for having to deal with the kids alone. My other half doesnt understand that i am with them all day and cant have a holiday from them. When he gets home he just relaxes as its his time off from work - What about me!
At least your OH can see you need a break and is making you take some time to yourself. Not sure where you could go though as never get the option, so never thought about it too much.
I hope car makes it through MOT for 1 last year and you can then save up for something that will last a whileMe, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

Thanks slmI am really praying it passes too........i've even gone to lengths of getting dh to check all the basics this weekend. then get him to book at a local council place (one of :money: tips in the weekly email this week :j)
The mot isn't actually due until august BUT my car insurance & tax both run out end of july........so i am thinking if mot fails then i don't need to pay out for tax that won't be used and insurance that i will need to change to a new car anyway...if you see what i mean!
I literally had to spell out to Dh how unhappy i am at homehe has been away 10 months out of 12 this last yr and with all the finances going t*ts up, ds1 being bullied at school, also him going off to boarding school (mums need to adjust to that too lol) and with the two little ones literally tearing my house apart i kind of have just snapped lately. Don't remember the last time i had a day to do what ever i wanted to, without the kids! So tomorrow i will prob end up doing nothing as we have no money :rotfl:i have a free odeon ticket though so i may use that and go off by myself!

they are currently laid on my bed finally chilling out after trashing my room, the bathroom, ruined a rug with immac, and shower gel. DD has a bald patch from putting immac on her hair and so does DS2 :wall::doh::wall::doh:
DH got the brunt of it (kids got shouted at too, but as usual laughed in my face and walked off- anyone have super nanny's number??????)
Sorry DFW but the immac and kids with bald patches made me chuckle, sorry - I have a very childish sense of humour. Not funny at the minute but I'm sure you'll find it funny one day.
Its hard with little ones and no release from it all, have you got a friend that could maybe have them for an hour or so just so you and DH can get out and have childfree time? You don't need to do anything expensive - just a walk, 1 drink in the pub.
Have you got the eldest down to join a Pre-School yet? From the term after their 3rd birthday you'll be entitled to 15 hours free childcare a week! Lots of Pre-Schools take them in from the age of 2 and even though you'd have to pay for the session at the moment it might be worth getting them in for a morning just to give you a break, our local Pre-School charges £6.50 a session, they can be dropped off for 3 hours, get a snack and Mum gets a break. I know you'll still have your youngest with you but at least its abit of breathing space.
Its hard and I've been there so fully sympathise, my DH worked away alot when they were younger and I used to be climbing the walls been at home with 2 little ones.
Hope you manage to get some time for yourself at the weekend xx0 -
Sunday
well yesterday I kind of had a child free day lol, I was all set to go into town and do something but DD made me feel guilty as she loves the bus and shopping (definate girly girl) SO i took her with me! I left DH with the DS2 though as he is such a pest sometimes, and the two kids together drives me insane lol
Well we only spent around £12 and that was including the bus there and back and also teacakes & a drink in a little cafe :j I got myself some trousers from the charity shop which were reduced to one pound :T and a few other little bits!
When i got home my friend had text me (who was supposed to be going out with me during the day to keep me company!) and we decided to pop out to the pub£40 quid later, one mcdonalds and a kebab and 6 hours later we were literally staggering to the taxi rank to get ourselves home
definately overspent! BUT i was good and didn't take any more money out of the bank than i already had on me! And drinks are so expensive now...i remember why i stopped going out now!
Today i bought some locks for the doors but haven't yet worked out how i am going to get them onand i also got my weekly shop....£12.20  this is a super low amount! And rightly so i guess because i am off to mum's on thursday - sunday so will give her money to get some food in....but i also took an inventory of both freezers and will mark off the food as i use it! I have at least 8 meals in there so that should last a few weeks and will just top up as and when. If i can get through the week on the food i have in though i will be well under budget this month :T i only had to buy milk, bread, juice etc today all the fresh bits that fill up my fridge lol :rotfl:and make me look less like a tight cow
Had to transfer £20 from holiday savings to main bank so DH can get back to work and back again next week. Roll on end of july when we wont have to pay this anymore  we've wasted £200+ paying for lifts home each weekend. could have had that money put into savings or not had to be so tight on my grocery budget this month!!!
Anyway early bedtime for me and kids tonight, i can't do hangovers at my age

Oh and I forgot to add, i tackled those 4 bags of ebay/jumble stuff today ....put three bags of clothes and toys down to the charity shop today :j not very :money:mse but it makes me feel better not having the clutter in my house, i was constantly tripping over them. I also kept a toy box that i was going to throw out as to replace it would cost £20...so hopefully when/if we move i can get it back out when we have room for it (it's in garage so stored out from under my feet
)
Just one lot of ebay stuff left now! And i must get it on soon otherwise it won't be worth doing because it's all summer clothes for kids!
DH job for this week is to book the MOT and also put in for his bonus :Twhich will either come in July's pay or Augusts so we can use it to save for car!
My job is to not have a nervous breakdown over the kids stressing me out-easier said than done :rotfl::rotfl:

:cool2::dance: OMG how hot is it!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am boiling already and it's only 8.30! I thought it was compulsory to rain all the way through wimbledon and glastonbury times :rotfl:
Well I am going to make the most of the sun which means chucking the kids in the garden (which thankfully in this heat ours is pretty shady) so i can catch up on cleaning!
might take a walk to the surestart play group this afternoon, never been to this one before but it's within walking distance so not sure how i never found out about this one
Should be a NSD here, i really want to make my target this month so only need afew more and my month ends on thursday eve....!
Good news for me todayI have lost 1lb
considering i went out at the weekend and drank like a fish and ate like a pig well i'm happy with that :rotfl:would like to lose 2lb this week though so i can fit into my dress on friday :rotfl:
Anyway i hope everyone is making the most of the sun! Apparently thuderstorms later and rain-- BOooooooooooooooo it never lasts long in this country does it !!
