determined to be debtfree!

morning
Banwa I would most definitely regret taking him out if he were to go to a local school and then tell me he hates that as well!
As well as me being determined to be debtfree, i also am determined my children get a good solid education & get themselves a career they love. Rather than a job to pay for the bills. Working so you can live.......hmmm i'd much rather them live to do something they love! And ds has said to me he'd love to join the army as an officer- and he needs a good education for that.
However he still has a chance to come out. I've issued an ultimatum and not mentioned it again. His house mistress & I are trying a new approach. He only call home on wed & sat the other nights he goes and joins in with the kids in the dayroom and plays pool or the kinect. He's far more likely to integrate then with others and find some good friends. If he chooses to come out though i have a back up plan (ok rubbish school but never mind) i'm fed up of stressing over it now so just going to go with the flow :T
Thank you to everyone who has offered me support on this blip! It really was appreciated even if i didn't reply individually to you all (too busy crying :rotfl:)

well my day got markedly better
a friend popped round for a cuppa (not the one that wanted to go out and spend money on one) and brought with her a bottle of wine & chocolate
I was so happy i almost kissed her feet lol
I have a stew on for dinner with about 3 portions but we've been snacking on biscuits as had friend over  so can't see anyone (including myself) eating it now! oops!
The kids have written/drawn ds1 some pictures and i had a second class stamp so i will post those tomorrow. I need to post some tablets to him also as he forgot them (omega 3 ones don't worry i'm not drugging him lol) but might just do that next week when i have more money spare!
Am at some point going to do a freezer/cupboard inventory and try and make what we have last as long as possible- preferably till pay day lol!MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. morning!
What a miserable day! The no calling home from ds1 is going well :rotfl: he snuck in a phone call this morning!!! I've emailed another school that managed to escape my attention  i'm sure it will have the same answer as the others but ya know you gotta try
The school admissions form should arrive today or tomorrow so will fill it out anyway and send off, I can always turn down the place if ds1 has a change of heart (which i'm very much doubting now)
Just checked bank, and for once I actually have more money in my purse than my bank :rotfl: I knew i should keep the money instead of going for coffee :T
Another NSD today. Not really through choice but necessity :rolls eyes:
DD has pre school boosters today so must remember that! Forgot ds1 dentist app over xmas  my memory is shockingly bad!

Right well i'm doing well today, not. :rotfl: Both kids have upset tummies  i nearly forgot the doctors with dd later (pinot, I also have to wait ages for another dentist app after i forgot the one in december  march was the earliest they could fit us in!)
DD has her jabs and so i'm driving there. I can't put up with a screaming 3 year old the entire 25 min walk home:rotfl:
My dad has been in touch ref picking up ds. I told him what a state he was in and that i'm ready to take him out (nearly) but will hold off see if he can do any talking around.......!
Sausage & mash for dinner. That'll do wonders for the diet. NOT.
I've no energy as i'm just so cold, but being ultra tight and only have heating on 18 *brrrrrrrrrrrrr* but after ds2 switched it on to 30 for me for 12 hours I feel i ought to make a few cut backs to claw some of the damage back

Evening all
Well i have spent the best part of my evening on mysupermarket & rosspa & approved foods......who says money saving can't be all rock'n'roll huh :rotfl:
Well it worked out cheapest to go to tesco next month. So i've booked a delivery slot for the 1st feb. The order came to £90 something but then i realised lots of the offers finish on sunday  so i have written down the bits that finish and i will transfer money from the tax credits to main bank and pop over there tomorrow. THEN HIDE THE FOOD otherwise it will be gone before next month starts :rotfl:
DD had her jabs though and is being a whinge at the mo, every now and then she says to me 'that lady at the doctors was really mean to me she hurt both my arms' awwwwwwww i feel so guilty! So not sure if she will be at nursery tomorrow!
I've made a meal plan for the next 11 days (up to payday :T) from freezer & fridge & cupboard contents. I still need fruit & juice and few other bits but hoping it will be cheap!
Right i'm off to bed am shattered and need to catch up on my beauty sleepMORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. January 1st £118,267.06. Afternoon :j
Have been to Te$co this morning. Didn't get anything for this month but stocked up on some offers that are due to end for next month's food shop:
Surf Tropical, 54 washes x 4 = £16
Lenor Summer Conditioner x2 = £4
7.5kg potatoes x1 = £1.99
Beef Mince X 2 for £6 x2 =£6
Balti sauce patak x4= £3.52
Butter chicken sauce x2=£1.76
Chilli sauce homepride x2=£2
Mini potato waffles x2=£1.98
Chicken fillets frozen x2=£6.58
=£45.23 :T When it should have been nearly £100 :T (all half price or better :T)
So will add that to my grocery budget as i'm doing a yearly one on here. And on the spreadsheet will add it to feb's grocery bill as that's where the money came from
Was very impressed with the price of the surf i just hope it washes the clothes well now, i always use powder so never actually used it before buying enough for 216 washes today :rotfl: that should last a few months anyway hopefullyIf i had more money i'd have bought more too as they were better than half price, they work out at 7.4p a wash :T
I will have a look at what is on my shopping list and see if i can get any special offers in a$da next week too:money:
