Well i'm having a 15 min break
. I've done the kids room :j yay! I hate that job. and guaranteed it will be messy before bedtime again *sigh*
did my room, tried to squeeze in clothes to cupboards & shoes into boxes. I wish we had more room:wall: i might enjoy the job a bit more if i wasn't constantly fighting the cupboard for a bit more space
Upstairs is all hoovered & polished & i even had time for a shower to wash my hair
Downstairs is so-so. Not bothering with it either, no point when kids are in. I've asked them if they want to go out and both said no. Think DD is feeling a bit poorly after jabs, and ds is just tired after he kept me awake all night
So dvd this afternoon & some puzzles on the floor i think. Then dinner and bed. Exciting times. Bet you're glad you wasted 5 mins of your life reading that :rotfl:MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. January 1st £118,267.06. Ok I have signed up for my second challenge of 2012
First one being Jwil's pay off as much as you can in 2012
Second one being Kerri's second purse challenge :T I Finally get it!!! :rotfl: it's only taken a year of reading about it for the penny to finally drop on how to do it
So each month i will put £15 into my second purse. And once my second purse reaches £100 I will put the money into the 3rd purse which will be used to save up for my new freezer that i want(£200 hopefully lol)
Now i've already started stockpiling and spent a considerable amount more than £15 in Jan:eek::eek::eek: but never mind, it was all good offers so what i am going to do tonight is compile the spreadsheet that kerri kindly shared :smileyhea and update how much each item is worth and what i paid for it. So when i start to use the stock i can start paying the second purse already :T
Once i've done it i will come back and share how much my stash is worth :rotfl:p.s my mother thinks i am turning into my grandmother being a 'hoarder' :rotfl::rotfl:MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. I dont think your being a snob regarding schools I had to change my DS from the local acadamy after a 1 1/2 weeks he just wasn't cut out for it (bless him!) The school run now takes me over an hour in the morning and another hour in the evening and £200+ in petrol ... hence our move!
Good luck with whatever you decide xxElectric and Gas Predators 17/£700:j:j:j October make £10 a day challenge :j:j:j£155/£3100 -

Ha Ha I'm still trying to get my head around Kerri's different Purses too. I need to sit down, in the quiet and totally concentrate on it , rather than skimming through it while thinking aboutother things at the same time ! Good luck with it though. Let us know how its working out !The concept sounds good but I am wondering if its more than my poor old brain can handleit at the moment !! :rotfl:LBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

I first read about it on the grocery challenge last year and was completely confusedeasily done though haha. And after reading & re-reading i finally understand
purse 1- grocery budget £250
purse 2- Bargains purse Transfer £15 (each pay day)
When i find offers i.e toothpaste half price. Was £2 now £1. If i bought 10 of these I would take £10 from purse 2. SO £5 would be left.
When i run out of toothpaste, instead of buying from the supermarket like you usually would and spending the £2, you put £2 into purse 2 and then take your toothpaste.
Eventually when all toothpaste is bought back for the SM value (say it's always £2) then you will have £25 in the 2nd purse. Therefore more money to buy 'bargains' 'whoopsies' whatever is cheap with
When purse 2 reaches £100, you then start a purse 3. Any money 'spent' on buying back groceries etc is put in the purse 3 or used to top purse 2 up to £100 all the time. Purse 3 is your treat purse so I am hoping to save £200 to buy myself a tall freezer (and thus getting more bargains :rotfl:)

Erm ok, I think I must be really thick here ( I'm not usually this dim I promise !) I am going to write it down and draw myself some purses , then try and get my head around it. Might save this challenge for Monday now though. So do you rreally need a purse , I only have one !! Is that an excuse to go and buy more ?!!!LBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

umm i think that's where i got confused lmao. BUT i'm doing it differently. I've got a spare empty savings account so i am going to transfer my money for purse 2 in and out of there. And i think once that reaches £100 I will either open one for purse 3 or just take it out in cash and put in an envelopeMORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. January 1st £118,267.06.
