  • Hi

I really hope your mum accepts your help, when people make mistakes they shouldn't be made to feel like a criminal. It maybe worth checking the appeals side of it... I believe from my time as a civil servant appeals are looked at by an independant panel/person which will look into the details more closely it will have no future affect on your mum. Good Luck x

P.S I have ran out of paste and I bet Bonnington finished today aswell leaving me behind lol

  • Morning :)

Well i had a nice early night last night so feel a little more human today! My approved food order is due today, not sure what time yet though!

My mum went to the CAB they did their own calculations and think that housing benefit & council tax benefit people are talking rubbish. They did their own calculations and worked out mum was paying the right amount. they've told her to appeal it. So hoping she gets some good news! She felt so bad, she's never tried to falsely claim anything and it always seem to be innocent people that are made an example of...she is also allowed to put in for her transfer as the 'debt' until sorted is with the council not with the housing association :)

I'm in the middle of saving boxes for her now to help her move :) i can't wait she's needed a change of scenery ever since she moved into her house lol!

I need to clean up today and do another wash. Also need to work out how much money i owe my second purse as i bought back a few items last night :D

Think a day lazing about is in order though, ds2 is not feeling too good today, has a rash on his chest.......which i think may be an allergy, but either way he's full of cold again anyway so is wanting cuddles xx

I've been to my online bank.

Have set up standing orders from main account on pay day, for emergency fund, car maintenance (inc. insurance), landlord insurance, 2nd purse fund, school fees, christmas fund, Health fund, and the regular saver :)

I've been meaning to do it for ages, but it takes so long to do each one and putting in codes etc that i've put it off (tut tut) all done now though.

Shopping is due this afternoon 3.22-4.22pm i love how they are so precise lol

I've also opened another savings account just waiting for it to show up now. I've overspent this month majorly (tried to absorb the car costs into this month and just didn't work no matter how tight you pull the purse strings) The kids and I have managed to eat for less than £200 this month :T although my signature says different :rotfl: but that's because i have stockpiled a lot of food for the rest of the year. So going to have to pull the purse strings tight again for feb i think :( stupid car. But i don't want to be suffering all year for the car when i can try to make up for it as soon as possible!

I also found a mistake on my budget. I had put down gifts twice in two different places, now that i have rectified that i should be £50 better off next month (well £50 to go towards the car lol)

I still owe savings pots money so need to pay those back. Was hoping for the £208 from my letting agents that they owe me but i have to wait for the insurance company to pay that out. I may get onto them again though

Tonight for dinner we have lemon & herb chicken, with pitta bread, rice & salad, yummy!

ETA: the postie has just been :D and i have a £5 gift card for te$co and £5 capital bond voucher. Have added both to my sig. including the £2 a$da card!

what a lovely day for post :) mine just bought bills again. DMP went quickly yesterday as i need to change tax credits for OH new job before they increase payments as tax credits will go down and probably counter extra income out so its on review next month now once i have sorted it all out.

  • Am feeling a little sorry for myself these last few days. :( . Have a poorly tummy & head and haven't had a chance to rest as kids feeling sicky too i think.

And the only day i don't check my bank 10x a day (yesterday) and i missed that it had gone £10 overdrawn,.....on an account that doesn't have an overdraft  i transferred money straight into it but i don't know how long it had been like it and whether or not we will get charged now :(

Received my AF order and all good :) I ordered a lucky box for £1 and it was filled with bars of galaxy, toffiees (sp?) and drinks.....that can go into the cupboard for snacks for next month ;)

Off out to do the school run this morning and to see if the newspaper i want is in the shop, they only seem to stock about 2 of each and the racks are empty by 10am apart from the star lol. Got a few jobs to do in the house but not much and we've no money, and it's raining so another day in for us :(.............roll on spring & summer!

  • Hi DFW

I hope you get a chance to relax today and give yourself a bit of space to recover from whatever lurgy in dragging you down. Perhaps you could leave the housework till tomorrow and sit with the kids and watch a film (aka snooze on the sofa :)) this afternoon?

  • Seems to be that time of year, everyone is so fed up and feeling ill It must be that January feeling.:(

Curling up on the sofa today sounds like the order of the day for you, give you a chance to chill out a little hopefully . Now whats that saying someone once told many years ago me about the housework ? (deeping into the depths of my fuzzled brain !) Oh I know : -

" The house will still be there tomorrow, and if it isnt you will be bloody glad that you didnt clean it after all " ! :) or something like that anyway . Not very good at following my own advise on that one though.

Youve had loads going on this week, so I think you need to go on strike for a few hours ! :D

  • thank you girls :) the fresh air helped my head a little. I felt like i had a hangover my head was banging so much bleurgh! DS2 decided he didn't want to sit with mummy on the couch. I found him 'cooking' with a saucepan, grapes & a whole bottle of canderel  thank god he didn't know how to turn the cooker on. He was in there around 4 mins by himself. He's a nightmare!!! So we ended up cooking sponge cake with almond & lemon flavouring & sultanas (he chose them lol) so the 16 fairy cakes in the oven are really truly going to help me on my diet, how?

    Kids!
