  • Just spoken to ds & dad (seperately) and ds has said he wants to stay until year 9 to see how the first term goes, because he gets a room to himself then. And if he doesn't like it then he will ask to leave again. Now half of me is jumping for joy :D and half of me wants to cry. I'd just got my head around getting my son home and now it's not going to happen :( ....no pleasing some people huh!

No bribery needed though :D apart from a brand new ps3 game that ds got he hasn't been promised anything else lol so i feel better that he has made this decision off his own back.

So no more whinging from me about that (hopefully) now to find something else to moan about ......... :p

  • I don't know what to say about your DS.
If he wants to stay I think that would be the best thing for him. :)
    :grouphug:

I think I am slowly getting the idea about the purses cannot really see the point. all I can see is that you buy something at a reduced price and then 'buy' it back from yourself at full price. This then gives you mre money to buy more offers with.

Personally I don't see the point. If you want more money to buy offers with just use it.

    Perhaps it's a woman thing. ;)

:rotfl:yes it probably is a woman thing :rotfl: my husband thinks i go out of my way to make my own life difficult. How dare he think such a thing :rotfl:

I've decided to give it a try :) but i'm not sure how i will cope when i run out of washing powder and have to 'buy' some from stock for £8.49 :eek: i would never ever pay this ever. fact. but knowing it is just going into a savings pot might thats a *MIGHT* make me feel differently :rotfl:i think i was just born a tight wad so am doubly confused as to how i got into so much debt as i've always seeked out a bargain :p

And as for ds1 i'm gutted he isn't coming home now :o BUT just think in a few years he will be super qualified and get into a fab uni and then can go get a fab job and help his poor ol' mum out :rotfl:

Second one being Kerri's second purse challenge :T I Finally get it!!! :rotfl: it's only taken a year of reading about it for the penny to finally drop on how to do it :o:p

So each month i will put £15 into my second purse. And once my second purse reaches £100 I will put the money into the 3rd purse which will be used to save up for my new freezer that i want ;) (£200 hopefully lol)

Now i've already started stockpiling and spent a considerable amount more than £15 in Jan:eek::eek::eek: but never mind, it was all good offers so what i am going to do tonight is compile the spreadsheet that kerri kindly shared :smileyhea and update how much each item is worth and what i paid for it. So when i start to use the stock i can start paying the second purse already :T

Once i've done it i will come back and share how much my stash is worth :rotfl:p.s my mother thinks i am turning into my grandmother being a 'hoarder' :rotfl::rotfl:

Hi DFW321, this sounds interesting. I've been over to have a look at it, and am quite intrigued ;). I've mentioned it to OH, but he thinks it's silly, so I guess Bonnington might be right that it's a woman-thing :p. Anyway, I've decided to give it a try, not least because we've run out of sugar and DW tablets today, but if I had a stock...well, you know :D. I'll see you on the other thread!

  • Morning!

Another sleepless night here, gotta love kids eh.

woke up and ds had hidden my toothbrush along with his sisters, after searching for about 20 mins i asked him to show me where it was and he points to the sink.........he'd taken the silly silver plug thing out which then leaves a ruddy great big hole down the sink and he'd shoved as far down as would go, my toothbrush! On top was DD which i could get out but mine is well and truly stuck :/ i'm not sure how to get it out, and i don't want the sink to break!!! grrr!!!

So trip today into town to buy a new toothbrush. DD luckily had 3 toothbrushes so now one is in the bin she has still got 2 :p he's such a little monster that child!!! would have been a NSD too but never mind still a lsd.

The fresh air might knock them out too so they will sleep better later (that's the plan anyways!)

  • Oh dear, not sure what to suggest about the toothbrush, perhaps something to stick to it to pull ito out!!! Good luck on that one.

Have looked at the purse thingy mmmmmm still not sure I get how it works but good luck on that one too.

Hope things settle for a bit now that your DS has made his mind up about school.

All these things come to try us. xx

  • well i have a new toothbrush :rotfl: 3 for 99p :T

Also have ordered dd a new car seat online. Came to £30 and 4.04% cashback. I've been squeezing her into the old one and she is moaning so much about how tight it is now :o i decided to get it out of feb's money. Was reduced from £50 so can't complain :)

Spends were £5 in 99p shop, £4 in pound shop. Got lots of little bits to send to ds1 to get him through the next few weeks before half term!

Sausage & mash for dinner. Catching up on desperate housewives tonight as i watched the wrong one last week :rotfl: kids are staying up till 7pm. Don't care how much they moan about being tired, this way they might stay asleep once in bed

  • oooooooooooh when will i ever learn!!! I have to stay away from the Grabbit board:wall:

Have just purchased a back pack for ds1. Yep he needed one, but really we don't have the money until things start sorting themselves out :o oh dear, it was a bargain though, and it's done now

*won't mention the docking station bargain I saw then. As that's not really a necessity now*

  • I've put my order in for feb's grocery spends :) £49.25 on approved foods (most of this will be for stock piling i think) and have an order @ Te$co all ready too with the meat & fresh stuff! Hoping to keep the spends down again :) I won't add either to the total though until i know it's been dispatched and everything is on the orders as last time a few things were out of stock!

Have £50 to last me till pay day  and I need to buy enough food tomorrow for 8 days (so it takes me up to pay day!) and i also need some petrol! So not sure i will have any money left to waste anyway lol!
